uitstekende ligging., fantastisch positief personeel.

Kleine kamers, zeer kleine badkamers. (suite) wij hadden een standaard kamer geboekt en kregen een paar dagen voor ons vertrek van het hotel te horen dat er ivm een verbouwing geen plaats was en ze ons in een ander hotel zouden boeken.bij aankomst zei ik dat ik dat wel heel erg jammer vond omdat ik het speciaal vanwege de lokatie had uitgezocht.nu mocht ik wel blijven als ik een suite zou nemen en bijbetalen.na enig onderhandelen hebben we 110 euro moeten bijbetalen. Volgens mij had het zo moeten zijn dat als je de afspraak niet kunt nakomen je iets vergelijkbaars of beters gratis moet aanbieden. Dit was een flinke tegenvaller. Overigens van een verbouwing was niets te zien, behalve aan de buitenkant.

The location

I really appreciated being so close to the centre of the city and, especially, to the Doge's Palace and the Basilica. Public transport was also accesible to all the places we visited The staff were friendly on the whole without being very friendly. The breakfast, with the view to the Basilica, was excellent.

I was a bit disappointed to be surrounded by so many shops and bars, some of which closed very late and made a bit of noise (nothing really bad though). I found the room and the hotel as a whole a bit enclosed, but I suspect that that is just part of the experience of being in Venice and expect that other hotels would be as or more enclosed.

The setting was pleasant, convenient and easy to find, in the corner of Piazza San Marco. Without exception, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, both with adults and children. The room and bathroom were both of a decent size (we booked a double room), even when sharing with a child.

The breakfast was alright, but not a particularly wide choice of food for the price charged. Also, our room (at the back) was fairly noisy, due to bells ringing throughout the night and the sound glass being thrown into bins early in each morning. Having said that though, it is probably the same in all of the central area and the hotel can't do all that much about it.

The lication was perfect. The staff were wonderful!

The staff were excellent, especially when I had a problem back in Florence with a purchase. The position was very good as we were a street from St Mark's square which is a key reference piont in Venice, so no chance of getting lost.

Not much, except for location

Grossly overpriced, small and poorly lit room, no eggs for breakfast.

The location of Hotel Concordia was just great.

Distinctive style and location.

Room size was tight for the family.

beautifully designed hotel with outstanding service and very helpful friendly staff. Location is amazing.

I would have liked a room overlooking the square instead of the street and it would be great if you could be offered this option (even at an additional price)

As a family (3sisters and our mother) we were thrilled to have chosen such a central and superiour hotel from where we thoroughly enjoyed the delights of Venice. Its situation was perfect and we were very pleased with the helpfulness and professional nature of the staff. Our room was adequate , very comfortable beds and clean. Overall we would recommend to family and friends and hope some day to return ourselves. Thank you, Fiona Cordiner

Not really a complaint but as 4 adults we did not expect 2 camp beds to be part of a quadruple room. From pictures on the internet we expected a bigger room and proper beds for all, I feel we were given a family room where children were expected to sleep on the camp beds. However, they were very comfortable and we all slept very well!!
