Close to the central, nice staff
The location is really great, only 10-15min walk from colosseum. Breakfast is simple and nice, toast, ham, cheese, coffee,...
I booked the double room in depandanse (that should be at merulana 130) but we were at merulana 191, our room didnt include toaster, some stuff for cooking, but we could their kitchen, which was nice. Our room looks like the ordinary double room (on the pictures), witch wooden fllor, no soundproof walls; is very noisy...after I complained they told me the room is booked and we could move in 2 days, jep who has time for that.. but it was nice that they gave us an option..
No mention of the noise from the road when booking, on a main road with horns honking and very close to hospital with sirens sounding all through the night, our room also had a macerater, that was noisy and there was a constant odour, I would not recommend this place and certainly not value for money.
Within walking distance to many great sights such as the colosseum. The staff were fantastic and very helpful, the rooms were clean and relaxing.
Could not fault anything about our stay, Beautiful place and the accommodation was brilliant.
Great room. Great location, close to the sites but far enough away from the rip off tourism. Great local restaurants. Helpful staff. Look forward to my next visit.
On a busy road and Italian drivers love to honk their horns. Not a problem for us (we live in London by a hospital) but folks not used to cities might find it noisy.
The only issue I had was that the location of the room had changed and there was a note on the door of the original address for me to phone another number to find out where to go. Luckily, I had a cell phone, but after 15 hours of travel, the battery was almost dead. It would have been better to have know this before arriving in Rome. I would have just taken a cab to the address from the train station, but dragging my suitcase over the old streets after such a long flight did not make me happy.
Thank you to the staff at Conte House. My family and I enjoyed our stay. It was walking distance, to the metro as well as to one of the main attractions in Rome. Great neighborhood cafes, bookstores, and variety of other stores. On our last day we took a stroll to the Colleseum, stopped for some gelato and really enjoyed our time in Rome. Call the day before to confirm your time of arrival.
Close to coliseum, and Metro stop. Very nice section of town.
Hard to find, across the street from the map pin point, but just scan all the doorbell names and you will find them. TV did not work in the room due to a cable problem (wall to tv), but went to the kitchen to watch. Noise, from guest arriving late and did not respect others, and the office desk was outside our room and sound resonated. 5:15 the next morning I heard a person walking down the steps from the floor above. Credit card was charged days before we arrived and wanted to pay cash but it was not an option.
The hotel is situated close to some great sights the staff are friendly and very helpful. There wasn't a reception but they leave numbers for you to contact them. The room was lovely the street outside is noisy but if you close the window you don't hear it. Would go here again
The B&B is placed in the heart of Rome, not far from the train station, and Coliseum although in a safe street. No noice at all even though on a busy street. The room & bathroom were clean and the staff of Conte House is nice and friendly. I would recommend this place for the value of money.
In general the light (artificial) was quite low especially in the bathroom.
very friendly and helpfull stuff good breakfast quite good position near coloseum
Details: extra tiny bathroom -there´s not any Hotel indication outside ,so if U don´t know exactly door No, U don´t find it - its just one floor - part of regular living house -neighbours in the house were reparing/drilling somth on saturday morning -we requested bad for pair, there were 2 which doesnt fit together-there slide apart litle bit-annoying
We booked a room with a private bathroom but received an email saying this was a mistake and so we were given a room with a shared bathroom for a much cheaper price which we were very happy about. The room was small but that suited us as we spent our days exploring the city so we don't need a big room. The bathrooms were fairly clean and the breakfast was pretty average but considering the price it was definitely acceptable. It was about a 10 minutes walk from the Colosseum which was fantastic. Overall we were content with our accommodation and we would come back in the future.
The shower curtain in one of the bathrooms needs to be changed; it's very dark at the bottom which doesn't fill you with confidence. Also there was a lack of power points in our room which was a bit annoying but manageable.
Possibility to use the kitchen.
Excellent location in the city, but on a very busy street.
Situated well Air conditioned Free wifi (bit weak)
Staff seldom there Other guests were very noisy till the early hours of the morning - no sound insulation at all. It is not a place for mature guests - ideal for younger travelers
Elegant room, friendly and personal attitude of the staff. We would stay there again. Thank you!! Kinga
Heavy construction work starting a 7:30 AM at the building. Very rude management. Booking.com staff in Italy does not mind.
Great place to stay for a weekend or week to see Rome. Only a twenty minute walk from the Colusseum and close to a subway station. The breakfast is very good, considering the low prize of the room, including: toasts, yoghurt, ham and cheese. The BnB has nice beds and a good shower. The kitchen could be used to make supper and is well equipped. We really enjoyed our stay!
Closeness to all the sights, café s, restaurants and public transport. Rooms very clean and have a nice feel, staff were very nice and helpful.
Good location, helpful and friendly staff, low price. I think it's a good place for a short trip on a budget, especially if you plan to be up early and out all day.
The continental breakfast they served wasn't enjoyable. I could hear other guests and construction noise early in the morning, so we didn't sleep well. Wifi worked in common areas only, not in the room.
Good location within 10 min of metro. Owner was very helpful and gracious. Accommodated a very late arrival. Hotel was clean and well run. Great breakfast.
Limited food options near by
I traveled with my daughter and son. We had a wonderful time. Would come back to the same hotel for its value, location, cleaness and friendly staff.
Breakfast and location are fine.
Wifi doesnt work. First day, there was no towel in the bathroom. Reception, kitchen and rooms are too intimate; therefore it's to noisy. (Reception Tel rings at 5.00 a.m. or stuff prepares breakfast at 7.00 a.m.) Rooms are not so clean.
Room was comfortable and beautifully furnished with a nice but small bathroom. A/C worked very well...what a treat in 97 degree F heat. The surrounding area has lots to offer and is only 10 min walk to Colosseum and Roman Forum. Our service was great and so was breakfast. We would chose Conte House again if ever in Rome.
Everybody was super nice and friendly with us, always trying to help us out with anything they could, if I go back to Rome I will definitely stay here again, very close to metro and only 5 min walk to colosseum so YOU CANT GO WRONG with this place, thumbs up!!!
