Great place to stay for a weekend or week to see Rome. Only a twenty minute walk from the Colusseum and close to a subway station. The breakfast is very good, considering the low prize of the room, including: toasts, yoghurt, ham and cheese. The BnB has nice beds and a good shower. The kitchen could be used to make supper and is well equipped. We really enjoyed our stay!
Closeness to all the sights, café s, restaurants and public transport. Rooms very clean and have a nice feel, staff were very nice and helpful.
Good location, helpful and friendly staff, low price. I think it's a good place for a short trip on a budget, especially if you plan to be up early and out all day.
The continental breakfast they served wasn't enjoyable. I could hear other guests and construction noise early in the morning, so we didn't sleep well. Wifi worked in common areas only, not in the room.
Good location within 10 min of metro. Owner was very helpful and gracious. Accommodated a very late arrival. Hotel was clean and well run. Great breakfast.
Limited food options near by
I traveled with my daughter and son. We had a wonderful time. Would come back to the same hotel for its value, location, cleaness and friendly staff.
Breakfast and location are fine.
Wifi doesnt work. First day, there was no towel in the bathroom. Reception, kitchen and rooms are too intimate; therefore it's to noisy. (Reception Tel rings at 5.00 a.m. or stuff prepares breakfast at 7.00 a.m.) Rooms are not so clean.
Room was comfortable and beautifully furnished with a nice but small bathroom. A/C worked very well...what a treat in 97 degree F heat. The surrounding area has lots to offer and is only 10 min walk to Colosseum and Roman Forum. Our service was great and so was breakfast. We would chose Conte House again if ever in Rome.
Everybody was super nice and friendly with us, always trying to help us out with anything they could, if I go back to Rome I will definitely stay here again, very close to metro and only 5 min walk to colosseum so YOU CANT GO WRONG with this place, thumbs up!!!
The location is wonderful, 5-7 min walk to Colosseum. The room was clean, good shower. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Recommended!
the bed could be more comfortable.
1) Good location (5 minutes walk from Colosseum and Metro station, also close to Termini). 2) No payment requirement in advance.
Unfair, disappointing treatment: we booked a double bed room for 3 nights w/ private bathroom. When we arrived, we were asked to spend the 1st night in a completely another building of the Hotel (cca. 300m), with shared (!) bathroom, due to some technical problems. They wanted to compensate us with a more expensive than we booked room in the original building for the rest 2 nights (so walking back again with full luggage), which practically meant a room with a balcony, looking to a noisy street with big traffic. Since (to be honest) we did not really appreciate this "generous gesture", after a pretty bargain, we finally got some really tiny discount for the 1st night.
Location was good, close to Metro stations
Wi-fi signal didn't reach my room, so had to sit in common area. Included breakfast was pre-packaged croissants, hard toast crackers, and generally not very appetizing.
Staff helpful and friendly, close to coliseum, very clean
Location location location. Room was nice and clean and breakfast was simple but good.
Wifi wouldn't work in our room.
Location excellent Modern bathroom Drinks fridge purchases available any time
Internal noise early in the morning Breakfast wasn't great
Good location Nice staff
Lobby noise at night and morning
Location near Colosseum and not thronged with tourists. Good facilities nearby , supermarket. Staff friendly
I was told the room I had booked was no longer available for the price I had been quoted on Booking.com. I was informed it would now cost 120 rather than 60 euro per night! Other rooms with shared bathrooms were offered. I refused these and was offered a room with en suite in Conte house itself and not annexe I had booked. While it worked out Ok and staff were friendly, I feel this was untoward and needs to be looked into.
For a budget accommodation I have stayed in nothing cleaner and better value! The bathroom was newly renovated and very clean, and the bedrooms were just right! We were walking distance from the colosseum and other huge attractions and of course good eats!
Unfortunately, the WiFi was extremely spotty...but I didn't let it bother me! I was in Rome!
We were the only ones staying for the first couple of nights so we had the whole place to ourselves! We also loved that there was water and wine available to purchase just outside of the room.
Breakfast was okay. Coffee was not made fresh. It was the same coffee reheated a couple days in a row.
Good location. Atmosphere like at home. Kitchen with equipment. Friendly staff.
Poor sound isolation and no wifi coverage in the room (last room near kitchen) Construction works from 8 a.m.
The room was quite clean!
No one can call the breakfast a 'breakfast" at all! All the rooms in the 'hotel' are in one hall. The hotel is nothing for people who wants to sleep longer than 10 am. Too much noise at the morning.
Friendly helpful staff plus in a good location for sightseeing
wifi kept dropping out
The location was perfect for site seeing and getting to the Metro was about 15 - 20 minutes away. Staff were helpful and friendly. Our room and bathroom was clean and adequate. Breakfast was a help your self affair, with a choice of bread, yogurt, cheese sliced meat and jam with of course coffee or tea.
The breakfast cups were small as I guess I am used to mug sized amounts of tea or coffee and just be aware when using the electric kettle the lid is not attached and falls off, this could be a potential accident waiting to happen!
We enjoyed ever aspect of staying here. The location is ideal for visiting all the sites and the metro is only a 5 minute walk away. Breakfast sets you up for a busy day and was varied and plentiful, I would have no hesitation in staying again.
