Hotel Continental

We paid high season prices for the end of season - so end of season that the pool was being drained at the end of our week, and the beach was closed. The front of house staff were charmless - the hotel was only redeemed by the bar and dining room staff and the cleaners. The food at breakfast was a huge disappointment: stale croissants, filthy coffee and scrambled egg every day - a disgrace for an English hotel, let alone an Italian one! Other meals were scarcely better. The beds were agonisingly uncomfortable. We thought this hotel was on a par with others on your website and chose it over the others because it had a pool, access to the beach, and a ping pong table. The pool was open but the other two weren't! What a rip off - stand by for me seeking legal redress.

We were upgraded to a suite which was great. Had excellent view as we had a corner balcony. Big room. Great bathroom. Great location close to main street in sorrento. Had sky tv so u can watch most channels in English

Weirdly rock hard beds..

Our room with a view and the knowledge of the staff and helpfulness. Our bedroom was very clean, and it was easy to get out and about with easy access to the station and bus. Overall a good experience.

It would have been nice to have a proper drinking glass in the bedrooms rather tan plastic cups. Your are listed as a four star hotel. The breakfasts were too repetitive. Only one choice of yohurt and scrambled egg every single day. I do understand that it is a continental breakfast but to get only prunes every single day instead maybe a dish of freshly chopped fruit and a choice of yogurts. You could ask the staff but it was not worth making a fuss. The coffee was not to our taste. It had no taste, but we did make a comment and this was dealt with. You could also have more variety of fresh breads to cut yourself. You are classed as 4 star but the breakfast do need a complete overhaul as the more people travel the more fussy they become. This was our third visit to Italy this year and we will be coming back. In Germany we stayed in three and four star hotels with continetal breakfasts which were far superior. Overal your hotel is good but needs a bit more inspiration and needs to move on.

Location was great - close to everything but a block away. Breatfast was awesome (including the staff)!

Not inexpensive, but a four star hotel in every respect. Staff is extremely knowlegable and very helpful. This was a terriffic value and I will not hesitate to recommend it. Wonderful pool for hot days too.

The location, right on the Sea of Naples in Sorrento was excellent. The rooms were very comfortable and the hotel staff, especially the wait staff at breakfast were excellent and very accommodating.

The hotel was right next to the beach, had a wonderful experience to see the sea view and the best city location

When we first checked in, we were given horrible room considering the money we were paying. Then we had to get that changed and later it was a nice experience

The service from the staff was excellent - nothing was too much trouble. The location was very good - close to the beach and the shops. We requested a room with a water front view and this was delivered. The room was spacious, clean and of a very high standard.

Rooms were nice and reception area and breakfast was good

It says 4 star but it really wasnt, recption came across helpful but really werent very useful

The daily front desk staff is the plus, kind and helpfull In all you need.

The housekeaping was the negatve point on our stay. Expensive comparing to what are being offering to us. The lifting might be open till 9:20 Pm, só you coiós reach the port are easely.

Hotel is in a perfect position. We were upgraded to a junior suite(free of charge) which looked over the Bay of Naples. Cannot comment on evening meals as we were bed and breakfast which was very nice.

Not enough sunbeds and umbrella's.

The Hotel is located in a beautiful location, overlooking the sea, with a lovely park fronting the building. The marble foyer is very elegant and kept spotless at all times. The check in was fast and efficient, and the booklet regarding the various tours given to us, was very useful. Our room was on the 4th floor, and had a large balcony overlooking the Bay of Naples, which was magnificent. The snack bar by the pool was very reasonably priced, with very friendly and good service. Towels supplied free of charge for the pool. Overall, a lovely hotel, friendly staff, good selection for breakfast, and every area well maintained. Would definitely go back there.

The T.v in the room was small and old with bad reception, and unable to pick up the English Channel mentioned. Having said that, we did not want to watch much T.V. but would have liked to pick up the English news. Hairdryer was just adequate, and could definitely be upgraded to one with a better attachment.

The location of the hotel was perfect for us. Everything was so accessible.The view from room 307 was magnificent, looking straight onto the bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvious.
