Hotel Continental  

Very efficient, helpful staff. Restaurant dinner was good with a friendly, helpful waiter. The manner of dress and decorum of staff, made an ordinary night seem special. The same experience at the wonderful breakfast buffet. The well manicured grounds are also delightful. Hated to leave!!

Nice hotel which probably had its highlights in the 70's and 80's. Helpfull staff. Decent breakfast. Very close to the centre which is a pro... If you stay there, go for a top quality diner to the neighbour restaurant Sirene... Spectacular views and nice food. Not cheap, bit worth every penny...

This hotel is rather quirky but great fun. Built in the 50s and renovated, but still with a quant touch, there is a nice sunny pool area, some relaxing lounge areas and sunset drinks with complimentary nibbles, served on the front deck overlooking the harbour. The food in the restaurant was great value and the staff even better. We normally never eat in but we stayed 2 nights and ate in each night. The rooms were comfortable even though on the small side, we had a balcony that overlooked the harbour because the great guy on the desk thought we might like an upgrade from the standard double room. A very easy stroll to the harbour and shopping of inner Sorrento. We stayed in room 206 for €100 per night including breakfast which I might add had fab pastries. Great value for money.

Fantastic location overlooking bay with stunning views. In quiet square in Sorrento but within easy walking distance of the centre. Many restaurants nearby. I was lucky enough to be upgraded to a sea view room with balcony. Excellent buffet breakfast included. Secure valet parking underneath the hotel.

We were upgraded to a suite which was great. Had excellent view as we had a corner balcony. Big room. Great bathroom. Great location close to main street in sorrento. Had sky tv so u can watch most channels in English

Weirdly rock hard beds..

Very central. And great views. Hotel staff were very friendly and very very helpful. All in all a great place to stay.

One thing thank was not great was the selection at breakfast. Very bland and same every day. One instance they gave us fruit salad from a tin, found this strange as there was so much fresh fruit for sale all around hotel.

The staff were exceptionally friendly & helpful. The location in Sorrento was right in the middle of the main tourist area but still in a quiet cul de sac beside the beach. An elevator ran done to the beach & the port was an easy walk from there. They also had a full 25m outdoor pool - fantastic for a refreshing evening (proper) swim! The restaurant staff were very friendly & dinner was served with silver tops on the plates & all cutlery was silver - real quality feel to the dining room. Really liked this hotel - would happily send friends / family there.

Breakfast selection - I'm really just being fussy, but the fruit salad wasn't great compared to some other hotels. They did have a better cooked breakfast selection than most unfortunately I'm not a cooked breakfast fan. I really am looking for faults! I definitely recommend this hotel

The daily front desk staff is the plus, kind and helpfull In all you need.

The housekeaping was the negatve point on our stay. Expensive comparing to what are being offering to us. The lifting might be open till 9:20 Pm, só you coiós reach the port are easely.

The Hotel is located in a beautiful location, overlooking the sea, with a lovely park fronting the building. The marble foyer is very elegant and kept spotless at all times. The check in was fast and efficient, and the booklet regarding the various tours given to us, was very useful. Our room was on the 4th floor, and had a large balcony overlooking the Bay of Naples, which was magnificent. The snack bar by the pool was very reasonably priced, with very friendly and good service. Towels supplied free of charge for the pool. Overall, a lovely hotel, friendly staff, good selection for breakfast, and every area well maintained. Would definitely go back there.

The T.v in the room was small and old with bad reception, and unable to pick up the English Channel mentioned. Having said that, we did not want to watch much T.V. but would have liked to pick up the English news. Hairdryer was just adequate, and could definitely be upgraded to one with a better attachment.

The location is excellent. Walking distance to everything that Sorrento has to offer. The view from the room, which was quite spacious, was wonderful

The room was large but a bit tired and dated. There are too many "rules and regulations", feels a bit like school! Cant drink in room, cant leave windows open, can't use fridge for anything other than hotel drinks, can't use own hair dryer or kettle. The bed was harder than the tiled floor! And so were the pillows.
