L'Hotel Continental és en un edifici històric del segle XV situat just al Gran Canal i ofereix una vista preciosa i una posició cèntrica, a 2 minuts a peu de l'estació de tren de Santa Lucia. Les habitacions tenen un disseny clàssic amb mobles de fusta fosca i moqueta, a més d'aire condicionat, TV per satèl·lit i, algunes, vista sobre el canal. Podeu gaudir d'un bufet d'esmorzar fred i calent al restaurant, que també té vista sobre el canal. Al vespre se serveixen especialitats venecianes i una gran varietat de vins locals en un ambient romàntic. El Continental Hotel us permet arribar fàcilment arreu de Venècia gràcies a la parada del Vaporetto (autobús aquàtic) que hi ha a pocs metres. L'aparcament públic de Piazzale Roma és a 10 minuts a peu. Habitacions de l'hotel: 93

Maybe we booked 5 days in off-season, they provided us a wonderful big double room with balcony, from which could see the canal view. The location was great as well, only took five minutes walk from train station. The bathroom didn't suit the beautiful room, especially the bathtub. But we did enjoy the stay in this hotel.

We loved the location of the hotel...close to the train station and in the heart of shopping and touring. It was easy to get around from this location. The room was a good size and worked well for 4 people. It had a nice sized bathroom, but watch the slippery floor.

We've stayed at the Hotel Continental before, and were pleased to re- visit. It's a great location, close to the Santa Lucia railway station, right on the Grand Canal, and with shops and eating places close by. Room 109, with windows overlooking the Grand Canal, with its ceaseless activity, simply says "You are in Venice, right in it!" What more could one want? Even the sense of decayed elegance has a certain charm. Nothing really, except that the "decayed elegance" should not be allowed to become too decayed.

My experience at Continental hotel was good. The hotel is quite close to St. Lucia Station and is at ideal location to roam around either on foot or by water boats operating in grand canal. Lot of food spots and shopping locations around.

Upon check-in, my family and I got this impression that it's almost a 5-star hotel ! we were really satisfied with the hotel staff, food, and the room where we stayed because it's the only one with a veranda. I saw the movie of Angelina Jolie "The Tourist" and I think we stayed in the same room :) one word to describe our experience : perfect !

I like the location and the hotel in general. First of all I requested not the ground floor and not a noisy room. I got the room on the 0,5 floor at the roof of the terrace and when neighbours used the toilet it was like a waterfall. I asked to change the room but they at first denyed that they have other rooms, then they showed me a room in the middle of which was the elevator! On your site I saw the info about great food. Breakfast was bad: what shoud be hot was cold, what should be soft was dry, and all was not tasty. And the most important. You guarrantee that the card while booking is not charged! It's not true in case of this hotel. They charge the card as soon as you book! Because of that I had a lot of problems and only hope that they are over.

Hotel advertised internet available in entire hotel but was only available in the lobby. Front desk staff rude. The restaurant staff were very nice.

Close to railway station Stazione San Lucia The wifi does not work, the staff not intended to help or check at all, not friendly as the comments on booking.com say, disappointing and I will never choose this hotel again

Good location, delicious breakfast. There was internet access only at the lobby, but not in the room. The carpet in the room was musty. Some of the reception staff were not friendly.

Excellent location on the canal. Close to several restaurants of different types. Coffee shops, fine dining. Included hot breakfast. Staff was wonderful, helpful, friendly - went above and beyond at all times. We believe the rooms could be a bit cleaner. There was a lot of dust on the chandliers. The hotel is very old but that adds to the character.

The only problem was that there were no curtains for the shower. Just a bare tub so if you like taking showers then be prepared for a little pool in the bathroom but otherwise very good.
