no shower curtains for tub showers

Room with excellent outlook onto the Grand Canal and Dining Terrace so that breakfast was taken al fresco overlooking the water.

elevator very old and the carpet smell bad & small, There is no business center... I ask to print a paper form my laptop or the internet and they said we don't cooperate with me !!!

The view was amazing, the room was small but extremely clean and contained all the necessaries. It is in a great location.

The soundproofing is not great, you can hear conversations in adjoining rooms but not really an issue as in Venice you don't spend much time in your room.

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights an we were satisfied with our overall experience. The hotel was about a 5 minute walk from the train station which was excellent for us since we arrived on a train and the city center was about a 15 minute walk from the hotel. Staff was helpful in directing use on how to get to places i.e. shopping areas and other areas of our interest. They even had airport train tickets that they sold at the hotel for the same price as at the train station which was very convienent. Rooms were clean and simple with standard furniture. The breakfast was excellent. English was well spoken.

We did not like the size of the bathroom which was very small and it was hard to move around without hitting something. Rooms were also a little small but acceptable for the price we paid. We had to walk up some stairs to get to the elevator which was a challenge since our baggage was heavy and bulky.

Nothing at all , I regret to book this hotel to begin with

The staff wer rude , reception was not professionally trained and they had difficulty answering questions despite their english speaking ability

Hotel Continental was very close to the Venice Train Station (less than 5 minute walk) which was very convenient. Plus all of their staff we interacted with spoke English which was very convenient. Their air conditioned lobby was a life saver after walking around in the heat. The free continental breakfast was not too tasty (only hot items were scrambled eggs and bacon) but it was filling since it was buffet style.

The tub didn't have a shower curtain so my kids made a mess when they took a shower. Also, the restaurants near the hotel are very expensive and overpriced. We ended up spending 85 eur on a unsatisfying meal (two omelets, a slice of pizza, an order of calamari, a side order of fries and two cokes) at a restaurant near the bridge near the train station that had a view overlooking the Grand Canal. Definitely walk outside of the main tourist area if you're looking for a meal at a good value.

The hotel was friendly and welcoming with its smart decor and the room was excellent. We would definately stay there again.

This was the best hotel in our 11 night trip! First of all - it was extremely easy to reach from train station (and because of that it was always easy to find our way back, just needed to follow the signs pointing to Ferrovia (train station)). Room was smallish, but nicely decorated and clean, and air con. was working extremely well. We got a room where we acctally could see grand canal from the window, even bathroom had window (also to grand canal). Breakfast was extremely good with baked ham, scrambled eggs and breads with cheese and ham, and we could enjoy our meal lovely terrace having view on grand canal. And, forgot to mention, that room had tea/coffee making facilities (no minibar though).

Two minor things - noisy bed and too cold (would say nearly freezing) reception area.

Nice Location

Bathroom did not had shower curtains I informed manager at reception of it and my worry was that wet floor can cause accident. Reply was that problem is known and he is simply sorry.

We received a double bed room overlooking the Grand Canal (per our request); amazing! The view and location made the room worth while.

The bed was uncomfortable; the bathroom was very small; the shower did not have a curtain to keep the water from getting everywhere. However for the price paid and location and view, this can be overlooked; especially when Venice is an expensive, overpriced city.

Staff were very friedly with my 5 year old daughter and made us both feel very welcome. Excellent breakfast!

Room was not ready by check in time but was sorted soon after.
