Breakfast was excellent and staff were very helpful!
Very difficult to find parking on street. Traffic noise loud so hard to get a sound sleep!
Lovely building, helpful polite staff, excellent bathroom facilities, superb breakfast, great location in Bologna.
It was rather noisy at times in our bedroom that faced the road.
Helpful staff....Made excellent restaurant recommendation nearby. Location not far from CBD.
Parking outside hotel problematic, breakfast very basic.
lack of attention to detail eg bulbs gone and unable to connect to wifi lift required you to hold button and difficult to use breakfast was adequate but uninspiring over priced and not what I expected from the description.Spent 3 weeks in Italy and this was the least inspiring hotel.Other hotels in Bologna better at much less cost
490€ for such a bad experience never again !
Front staff pleasant and helpful. One helped a lot with instructions, tips, etcetera. Not too far from city center
Was given wrong room to start so had to switch with friends. Rain Shower was non functional and some mold. Dark and lights were huge wire cages with single bulb. Trying to hard to be cool but not and not useful. Would rate 3 star at most.
This hotel was advertised on booking.com as value deal. I was charged 90 pounds a month ahead of my stay at the hotel. I travelled for 2 weeks through Italy and this was definetly the worst hotel I stayed in. I know I was overcharged. Upon my arrival I decided to cancel my booking and contacted booking.com and they spoke to hotel team to cancel the booking but that was not possible. I went and checked other hotels and they had all better rates. Also on booking.com the hotel could be booked for 60 euros a night!!!!! So I wondered why paying extra would be considered as a value deal. Surely not because of service, cleaness, comfort or location because all of these were poor. To me this hotel is a scam and should not have more than 2 stars! I would like to have my money back.
Comfortable bed, clean towels and bedding, good air-con, quiet, friendly staff, good location, nice lobby, nice coffee. Gelateria nearby - I agree best in town
Poor breakfast - only egg as hot food and it looked unappetising. Poor quality fruit juice. Nice coffee. Staff friendly but concierge wearing dirty waistcoat on arrival. Styled as boutique hotel but rooms tired - curtains grey, tiles falling off shower, light bulbs out, generally dusty.
the service as soon as we arrived was excellent. The hotel was only 10 mins walk away from the centre of Bologna.
Dont expect to see much of the old convent. Its not really there but still a great place to stay to visit the city.
Really lovely place. Interesting old building with modern twists. Fantastic hotel. (Nice breakfasts too)
The staff !! Excellent. Fantastic berackfast.
The hotel was wonderfully located and beautifully decorated, the staff were helpful, parking was straightforward, and breakfast was excellent.
The lift was a little idiosyncratic, but this was hardly an issue.
Beautiful small hotel and friendly staff! I enjoyed my stay!!
Beautiful hotel! Absolutely unique.
Excellent helpful staff, breakfast included, rooms were comfortable and quiet
Location was a little bit away from the happening places but was well within a reasonable walk.
Cosy small hotel.Good location: old town and transport streets around. Quiet place. Many cafe and shops near. Helpfull friendly staff. 24 open. wi-fi worked fast in the room. Specius bathroom.
Lovely attentive staff. Superb location in quiet street. 15 min walk from main square. Wonderful bedrooms and decor.
Having to go home!
Friendly and helpful staff; good location
They need more staff during breakfast time, as there is too much demand from the staff present(making breakfast, cleaning tables, cleanign rooms, check-out desk, telephone...). They do their utmost best but could use extra help.
The hotel is in a great location, quiet at night, an easy stroll to the centre and close to plenty of bars and restaurants; the rooms are a little dated, but comfortable, and I liked the bathroom; the staff were friendly and helpful
The bed could be better, and breakfast is average
I was able to stay in 2 rooms as I came a day early. Staff very helpful and the rooms were comfortable, quiet and interesting: the decor had a bit of personality, which I liked. The breakfast was decent. The location was a walk from the city centre but there were some great local restaurants nearby and the best gelateria in town
There was nothing I didn't like or would improve
Quite noisy: street sounds at the weekend were very clear, preventing sound skerp
Location is 15 minutewalk to centre. Room is clean and washroom too.
Firts day without hot water. Between 13 -19 is big problem find in town the restaurant for eating, all in centre are closed. ( you order only coffe and cake). Electric plug has special parameter, for normal hair iron you need special adaptor.
It is a beautiful place but sadly was ruined by the negative experience we had, and the failure to satisfactorily deal with our complaint. Avoid if you are the sorts of travellers who prefer to know, if things go wrong, you won't be ignored.
We stayed in a room at the back of the hotel, and were kept awake all night through the residents in the apartment upstairs. They were not part of the hotel, but the management had no control at all over their behaviour. This was obviously an unfortunate event but after returning from the holiday and hoping to start a dialogue with the hotel management, we were provided almost no feedback (and actually had to chase them to speak to us) before being told they "had alerted the authorities". A small gesture from the hotel to make up for our inconvenience would have sufficed. The complaints handling procedure of the hotel, in short, is unprofessional and would make me, for the first time when giving feedback on a hotel, advise against staying.
