A nice escape from the noise and activity of the street vendors and marketplace. Great staff, friendly and helpful...very low-keyed and relaxed
Paying for Wi-fi
The location was excellent and the staff was very helpful booking reservations and making recommendations for restaurants.
The wifi was very sporadic even though it wasn't free anywhere in the hotel. You also could not have more than one device connected at one time.
It is idealy place wtether for travel by train or bus and is within easy walking distance of most sights Staff were always pleasant and helpful especiaily in the breakfast rush
The contant herd of tourists passing the front of the hotel and the difficulty of getting free from the daily noise and bustle - not the fault of Corona!
Large room, great bathroom, very friendly and helpful staff. Extensive and enjoyable breakfast. Reasonable parking and excellent srvice in dropping of and picking up our car.
Paying for wifi. Every other hotel in Italy and France included it free of charge
The owner Mary was incredibly helpful. Her warmth, assistance and kindness was unbelievable. For this alone we would recommend this place. It is also affordable for a group like ours, we could cook for ourselves and the location was an easy short walk to the beach, shops, cafés and the main town of Calvi.
Visited Florence with a group of friends and stayed at the quadruple room at Corona. very pleasant stay considering the location, cleanliness and comforts. Positives: Clean, roomy and new bathroom Clean fluffy towel Great location (10 min walk fron Santa Maria Novella station) Many restaurants surrounding the hotel Leather market literally outside the hotel. All in All very comfortable stay and would recommend this hotel.
Immediately beside market centrali and 300m from main train station; short walk to Duomo; lots of restaurants nearby and a supermarket nearby; good breakfast and pleasant helpful staff; quiet despite busy street; aircon and wifi worked well
Very very strategic location
No free wifi
The location is great, lovely ambience, clean and comfortable rooms and the staff was outstanding. Having stayed at several other hotels nearby this was by far my favorite and will return!
Great helpful staff, didn't say no to any requests, bfast great, nice rooms, nice lobby/bar area, great stay
Having a kettle in the room would be great, however they sent us boiling water when requested
This hotel is literally in the middle of everything and walking distance to all the museums, shops and ponte vecchio. It is close to the train station, but if you have a car they can arrange for it to be parked for you in a parking gargage. They have a nice bar that opens at 5 on a lovely breakfast with a very accomidating staff. The rooms are a decent size and the bathrooms are recently updated. The leather market right outside is fun to walk around in, but the best feature is that this hotel is right next to the central market. This is the best place to eat. Imagine all of the freshest produce and meats in Italy under one roof. However, the best part is that at 10 am the upstairs opens and it is an amazing place to have lunch and dinner that wont break your wallet! Everything you could be in the mood for, fresh made pizza, pasta, fish or Steak made fresh in front of you and its like a big food court so you dont have to worry about cover charges (which in Florence are at every restaurant you go to). They also have an amazing bar that serves appetizers while you have drinks. Try it on you first night and you will be back.
The beds were a little on the hard side and you have to use your room key to turn on the power to your room, so if you go out your air conditioning isnt running and your room may get a little warm in the summer months
breakfast take away should be more varied and contain a sandwich and water or jus. not everyone likes sweet breakfast.
Good location--very close to the train station, right by the leather market, and the Duomo is only a few blocks away. Extremely helpful staff--our son lost his wallet and they went out of their way to aid us. Very good breakfast. Large room for three. Quiet.
The location is good. Breakfast plentiful and varied.
A man worked in reception, attitude is arrogant.
Helpful staff, walk distance to "piazza ....
Garage 33€/day. It crazy that nowadays you have pay extra for wifi. If I remember correct 6€ for 2 hours. Breakfast not bad but somehow....
The property was close enough to the train station which made it convenient as we were traveling by train across Italy. But, it was far enough away from the station to avoid any sketchy territory. The hotel room was comfortable and large enough. Our past travels, we've experienced small European rooms. However, the Corona D'Italia was pretty roomy. The breakfast was plentiful. No complaints as we were not in Florence for the hotel breakfast. Loved the bar area. Enjoyed a nice evening relaxing with Italian beer and visiting. The location was very good to everything. We walked everywhere - this property has a great central location. The hotel staff were pleasant and accommodating. They always provided the help when needed. We recommend the Corona D'Italia to anyone staying in Florence.
Breakfast was good , staff helpful
Rooms needed some updates
dated rooms and dirty walls...bathroom has mold on the ceiling...
Nice spacious rooms. Super friendly and helpful staff. Reception pointed out city's highlights on a map for us.
All was great. Nothing to add here.
Central location Professional and welcoming staff Very clean Room size adequate Full size bath
Late night and early morning noise in streets below
The location to Santa Maria Novella train station also to most of the sights and delights of Florence.Having stayed in the hotel before I knew this was the area I wanted to be.The addition of "Vince" as bar man and head waiter is a plus!
The colour scheme in the bathrooms but I guess it fits in with the style of the hotel.
Everyone in the hotel was really helpful. Great location .
Friendliness, Location. Always aim to stay here when I visit Firenze.
Hotel was clean and comfortable and was in a good location. Staff were very pleasant and always cheerful. Good selection at breakfast.
The bedroom was basic and decor was quite dark and plain - not like the website pictures and not very Italian. There was a fridge, but no tea/coffee making facilities. Could plainly hear the people in the rooms either side, both talking and using the bathroom. Not very pleasant.
Location to food markets and transport. Most staff were friendly and willing to assist.
WiFi connection was awful and a waste of money.
