The hotel was beautifully presented. Much better than we expected. Beautifully decorated in traditional Italian styling. Would recommend this to anyone. The location to Venice was fabulous. Views of St.Marks square. A 5 minute walk to the ferry. Lido is a lovely village to retreat to at night. The owner was very helpful.
An arm-stretch from historical center. Big appartment for 5 in a renovated palazzo. Very clean and owner, Duccio, extremely nice and speaks perfect English. Upon arrival complementary drinks were available and even a bottle of regional wine. Gorgeous bathtub. A bit cold the first night but Duccio immediately took action. The wifi a bit slow sometimes but not an issue.
The location of the hotel is perfectly situated to walk to all of the historic destinations and must-see attractions. The room was beautifully kept and very warm and welcoming, as was the staff.
Duccio was great. He helped with everything including getting our car parked by a local garage. Perfect.
A little noisy but it's the city.
Perfect location in the city centre, exclusive suite for a fair price, awesome staff
Spacious, romantic, elegant room. Super quiet, clean and good facilities with a freindly host, all the things you want in a stay.
Can't beat the location, close to major attractions, many restaurants, shops, and bars. Such a lovely apartment. Extremely friendly staff. Ileana met us the day of arrival and she was super cordial and even gave us a bottle of wine. Overall we loved the place and definitely recommend it and will stay there on our next visit to the city.
Parking was off site and a little difficult to get to, also quite expensive 25 euro a day. Hard to reach the owner after check in...we tried to contact him in the morning for check out and never got a hold of him, so we had to leave the keys on the table on our way out.
Typically italian building which made you feel as if your Florentine experience started as soon as you walked through the huge wooden front door. A lovely warm welcome and immediately knew our Italian friends couldn't have chosen better for us.
Absolutely nothing whatsoever to dislike
The location is perfect for discovering the center of Florence. The apartment was nice and clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. All in all, we enjoyed our stay at Corte Dei Neri.
It is sometimes a bit noisy outside but it has been never for too long. Arrival was a bit complicated (as an appointment for collecting the keys is required) but it worked out.
Extremely responsible staff. Excellent location, with everywhere of Florence in the walking distance. Parking service is also available. The rooms is really big, and with beautiful old-time decoration.
The room has two floors, which is nice, but they put bathroom in the second floor while beds are in the first floor, this is not convenient, and is troublesome for old people.
Nice manager. Clean. Spacious. Excellent location. Good room for Family
Bathroom a little small for 4
Less than 5mins to Ponte Veccio or Santa Croce. close to duomo and Ufizzi. It's all less than 15mins away on foot really. The apartment was lovely with a separate living area, bathroom and a mezzanine bedroom. Staff were there to check us in and show us everything we needed to know. She even told us to call any time day or night which if we needed anything booking or for advice which was really sweet. You could get free coffee from the communal area. To be right in the middle of Florence for less than 100euros a night was perfect! The gelateria at the end of the road (Gelateria de Neri) was amazing!!
It didn't bother us as we take ear plugs and eye masks everywhere, but as you are so central there is a lot of noise in the evenings and the lights stay on outside until 11pm. We are used to travelling and so take ear plug everywhere so as not to have it affect us. so my recommendation would be to do the same if you need quiet. Otherwise great place!
Proximity to popular attractions; friendly, accommodating staff (of one). Nice amenities. Excellent bathroom facilities in room.
Unclear directions to place within building. No elevator. Not really a hotel; more of a multi-unit apartment within a residential building. Dark, musty.
Central location, convenient apartment, complementary drinks, flexible check-out time
the street outside can be a bit noisy even after midnight.
Location , drinks plentiful
Very spacious, comfortable, and well-kept. Perfect location and great for families or group of friends travelling through Florence.
Big and spacious rooms.
Unclean. The tea kettle was unuseably dirty. The space was just about cleaned up. The lady incharge was sweet when not in her trance. We got locked out of the Hotel as the receptionist locked the whole hotel and went on a drug-sleep. Had to call the police, who called the owner, who found the girl's sister, who helped us get in to take our bags. We just took our bags and ran. NEVER AGAIN.
Great entertainment watched from our window overlooking the street along with a complimentary bottle of wine.
Arriving at the correct address and thinking that the hotel was either closed or did mot exist! Went to a hotel atround the corner and the desk staff was very helpful. Made phoecall and connected us with the owner, who asked us to wait at the entrance until Ileana arrived. After that it was great!
good location and helpful staff
bathroom sink didn't work very well
Ileana was excellent, very helpful and very sweet. The apartment was beautiful and very close to the major attractions. This place is a gem!
Two minutes walk from the Ufizzi Gallery, and close to the Arno and Ponte Vecchio and all other city centre sights, Corte Dei Neri is superbly located. If the street noise is a bit much, the double glazing is excellent, and there is air conditioning if it becomes too hot. There is a small kitchen area with fridge and kettle, plus a shared coffee machine (no cooker). The king size bed was very comfortable, and the pillows were both wide and just right. The whole place was well cleaned daily. Just 3 suites in an old building, the two members of staff are really helpful and attentive. One member of staff lives just minutes away so calls are quickly responded to even when they have left for the day. TV, wifi, beer, water and wine in the fridge. Excellent value.
There is no name sign - just a big number 11 and a doorbell with the name in small print, so do bring along your directions and the staff telephone number in case the big doors are closed and there is no reply to the doorbell. They do ask you to let them know when you are due to arrive which in hindsight is a very good idea, so that staff will be awaiting your arrival. If you do not know in advance what time you will arrive, then be sure to have the telephone nuber handy, and call them shortly before you arrive. Florence also has two numbers on many doors; sometimes an address states "Blue number 11"; youi might see a brown number 49 at the same address! We did not find this a problem, but it is worthwhile knowing this in advance!
We love everything about Corte Dei Neri!! Highly recommended. It's everything you would imagine Florence to be. The rooms are breathtakingly beautiful. Everything works well. The hosts even gave us complimentary drinks and wine. Mariam was wonderful and very helpful to us. The location is amazing, right next to the Uffizzi and near to all the great restaurants and gelataria. There are convenient stores nearby to get all you need. Corte Dei Neri will be our top choice for Florence.
Large Room, convenient location
Duccio, the owner, was extremely considerate and it is evident he cares greatly about the property and his guests. The hotel is centrally located with great food (prosciutto as far as the eye can see) just steps away. Our room was large, tastefully and creatively decorated, and clean. The complimentary wine was also a nice touch.
We couldn't get the air conditioning unit to work.
