Corniglia is located at the top of a cliff, so either you stay there and have to walk to the train or you stay by the train and have to walk to town. Since we spent more time in other towns, the location of Corte de Gallo was nice because it was so close to the train. However, we ate in Corniglia for dinner, so we still had to walk the stairs (365) or walk the road (3/4 mile?). They have a shuttle from the train but sometimes you have to wait almost 40 minutes for it.
The owners were super! Very welcoming and helpful about the area. We wanted to hike and they had very good suggestions.
Breakfast is served from the patio, which has a great view of the sea. They also have a nice area on a lower patio with lounge chairs and umbrellas that was nice after a morning hike.
