The Hotel Orologio is located next to the ancient walls of Ferrara, easily reached from the A13 highway. The property provides friendly service, free Wi-Fi, and elegant rooms.
Score from 946 reviews Very good
Very noisy party in the restaurant outside our window until well after midnight
The location of this hotel is perfect; a two-minute walk to the castle and the cathedral but in a quiet street. The furniture & fittings are of the highrst quality. A walk-in closet with a safe for valuables. Breakfast was very good and the coffee was excellent, freshly made to order.
There was nothing we did not like about this hotel.
Excellent location, nice room, helpful personnel
Unpleasant smells in the room, you have to keep the windows open. Loud noise and voices from outside till very late and mosquitoes if windows open. Uncomfortable mattresses and pillows. Wi fi slow and unstable, necessary to reconnect every time. Very complicated to reach by car.
The beautiful location in the center of the city
Room very small Television not functioning Small bathroom with poor functioning of the shower In general a quality not adequate for the price and for the four stars
great location and the hotel was clean and reasonable comfortable
room was rather dark and the breakfast was not very exciting.
Excellent location in a wonderful city. Ferrara is magical. The room was cool and as we overlooked the courtyard, it was quiet too. Breakfast was nice and the room, although a little dated and with no working wifi and limited TV was perfect for our needs.
The reception staff were a little unforthcoming.
Staff professional, friendly and helpful, great location near Cathedral and Castello, many bars and restaurants nearby, perfect.
Elegant family hotel!
Small tv, paying tax in Cash, no dayllite
Location and parking.
No lift in Hotel. Uou have to go first or second floor carrying your bags. Breakfast very poor.
Very close to the historic center, friendly and helpful staff.
The staff were great-friendly, helpful and welcoming. The Hotel itself has a lovely atmosphere and is clean yet homely and comfortable. Our room has two lovely little balconies with shutters, which meant we could look out over the pretty internal courtyard. The bathroom was lovely too- clean and had everything you could need. There was also variety at breakfast- breads, jams, pastries, meats, cheese, yoghurt and fruit. The location is absolutely perfect; especially if using restaurants and bars in the evening, you are half a minute away from Piazza Castello! We would highly recommend the Hotel Corte Estense and would definitely stay again.
A non-slip bath mat would have been great as shower was over the tub- but only a minor criticism!
Excellent helpful staff, nice decor, not bad breakfast and if you ask you can have it in your room:) it's cosy and the room was a decent size, big bathroom with nice tub and shower!
No tea/coffee facilities on the room. The radiator in the bathroom had terrible rust and looked very off putting but the good parts outweigh the bad!
Good quality accommodation in central location; nice little internal courtyard to sit in.
Couldn't work out how to use the thermostat, but aircon seemed to do the trick anyway, so this was a minor issue.
The quiet location close to the Bus&Fly stop (from Bologna Airport) in the historic part of the city. Authentic, quaint Italian interior style, which is in keeping with the property.
No facilities in the room to make tea/coffee. The breakfast is a meagre, continental style, lacking in imagination - given this is a 4* hotel.
Everything but the price!
My bad luck to be booked for Feb. 14, St. Valentine's Day. In honor of Romeo and Juliet (remember Shakespeare put them in Verona!) This hotel doubled their prices.
Great central location. Was able to park our car in the private garage for 10 euros per night which was just down the road and convenient. Cosy hotel, good breakfast would definitely stay again.
Big stylish rooms, great bathroom and a lovely small garden. Located in the centre of the old city in a beautiful building.
The staff were helpful. The breakfast was nice. Please post this review in full.
The hotel needs a makeover to bring it into the 21st century, all it's systems and facilities have a tired, faded feel. It did not reavh my perception of a four star establishment. I did not like not having an outside view and the ceiling windows would not stay open. There was free wifi for 24 hours but one had to login everytime using the long password, it should be possible to fix it so that one can remain logged in.
the good location, the welcoming, helpfull and very nice staff, the room which was cute and big enough, the tastefull decoration, the low price
small and old TV
Very nice and spacious room and bathroom.
You had to pay extra 15 euros per day for their garage.
Hotel location is prefect - in historical center of Ferrarra
Staff was horrible.... no other word Take care about turistic tax - you have to pay it by cash and is not included in your bill = stolen money...
