easy late night check in very nice staff good breakfast close to city center free parking the room was really interesting looking but still cosy we would definitely go there again
nothing to complain
close proximity to the old walled city and having the ability to rent bikes for the afternoon. Good breakfast with small courtyard.
Minor point. The decor of the room was "medieval". see pictures. Keeping the decor simple may have been a better choice.
The king Arthur theme totally makes this place, it's cosy and very romantic though works just as well for a group of friends. Another plus was a delicious breakfast. You can also rent bikes here, which is the best way to get around Lucca.
There was no one at reception when we arrived and as a result we couldn't ask for advice for our first afternoon/evening there. Also, the shower was a bit broken which meant the shower head didn't stay in place.
All was lovely. Francesca spoke perfect English and French which made things so much easier. She was able to advise us on where to go in Lucca and also a great restaurant Da Tasca?
It was a 25 minute walk into town, which was lovely but long when you were hot. However, we could have got a bus if we wanted to or hired bikes. But because the hotel was so lovely the walk didn't matter and gave us a chance to see more.
Very nice helpful lady Beautiful ancient looking room including bath tub. Only 6€ renting a bicycle. Ok breakfast with peanutbutter! Airco Tv
Location was good, Room very big
Just the walk up the stairs to the rooms, steep small stairs
The 'theme' from the hotel. We have a young daughter who loved staying at a 'castle-style' decorated hotel. Breakfast was very good as well.
Staff wasn't always there, but they answered the phone right away when you called.
Facilities were comfortable and location to Lucca was very good. Staff were lovely and helpful - assisting us with any queries.
I liked it`s location, also there is a free parking place very close to the b&b. It was clean and the staff were very nice and helpful.
The decoration was not nice, expecially the frescos on the walls. ( One room had a sword and wizard Merlin... on the walls - scary )
Automated check-in, very clean and close to the city center.
The service was very friendly and staff spoke good English. The rooms were very clean and the breakfast was good. All in all, very good value for money.
I could hear every sound from the rooms adjacent and above me (people talking, going to the toilet etc). It took a good 20 mins to walk into the centre of town - which is fine when it's sunny but it rained for two days.
Lovely place, well decorated. Free parking onsite and nearby. 5 minute walk into the town centre. Breakfast was good. Also, we asked if we could check out late and this request was met with no issue at all which was great!
No-one was there on arrival. We pressed the bell, a crackled voice came on the intercom and the door opened. After a few minutes we worked out that the keys were in the back of the reception. This isn't a terrible situation by any means but an email explaining this in advance would have been a nice touch.
Very clean, fully automated, everything worked smoothly, we had very clear instructions for everything, had anything we needed, breakfast was perfect and it was very good value for money.
It was a bit strange to arrive and not find anybody at the reception, on the other hand it was highly compensated by the fact that everything was automated. We could let ourselves in and found precise instructions for anything we might have needed.
Room was beautiful and very unique. Would definately recommend to friends or stay there again if in the area. Great value.
The breakfast was very good .and above my Expectations
It was not clear the location is out of the old coty, even in a good place.
