Good price, helpful staff. Nice surprise in the middle of a centrical and peculiar neighbourhood, right in the middle of Mercato Ballarò, a little disheartening if you arrive at night (but not dangerous at all; and it will make your palermitan experience even more intense). In a very convenient walking-distance to railway station and to all the interesting places in the city.
May be rooms facing the square and its ethnic bars may be noisier, but mine was quiet enough
The hotel is very close to the market Ballaro where you can find anything that you may need. It is also not that far away from the station, definitely within walking distance. The staff is very helpful. They live up to the name of the hotel - they are courteous. The last three times I was in Palermo - November 2013, January 2014 and November 2014 I always stayed at Hotel Cortese.
Everything was OK, very good reception!
in the center
close to market, so too noisy, poor breakfast
They were very helpful. They even helped us when we had problem with car tire-tried to fix it, called to rental company. It looks like a nice family business.
was very clean.......
air condition was rubbish...left it on all day long on but we could not sleep during the night because was like owen!!! Staff not so friendly.
to go there by car is terrible, impossible.. A little bit of noise during night.. it is not for longer stay...
New experience in my life. The place was the same when I saw in website, The same room, the same bathroom etc. The breakfast was not perfect (coffee!) but was OK. .
Before we arrived we didn't check when exacly is the hotel. We a little afraid left the hotel after 10p.m Another problem was very loudly street near the hotel. People listen all night music, make noices. Some times we heard "policy!" that was not nice. We sleeped realy bed. Coffee in this hotel was not good, was from automat (instant coffee). But the crossant was OK.
The owner, Mario is very helpful.
The breakfast is very poor. One cup of coffe served by the lady of the house, afterthat she close the coffe(drink) mashine. It is very unpolite. Very loud surranding.
Very nice hotel. Recommend.
The perfect location of the hotel! The possibility to have a private garage for the car (very useful) the staff very convenient and sympathetic! Air conditioned useful too!The breakfast was OK for the price!
To go there with a car (very very little street) A little bit of noise the night (one bar close to the hotel) but it was not a big deal (light noise)
- the staff was very polite and helpful - the hotel is at the very city center, very convenient for visiting all main sights - at a walking distance from the Central train and bus station - rooms were cleaned every day - Internet was perfect in our room
- the breakfast could be a bit richer, but it is anyway typical Italian - bread, croissant, jam and coffee - one may be scared of one of the streets nearby (where the Ballaro market is), but you can easily reach the hotel though some of the other streets that are safe enough
the staff was very friendly and the hotel well located in the historical center. Very convenient.
bad Wi-Fi connexion. Breakfast was basic (but enough)
Perfect location just behind Ballarò market
I liked the friendliness of the staff, the simplicity and cleanliness and the value for money. The area is very convenient nad interesting.
For the money, it's a good value. A bit confusing location wise but not out of the way. Staff is great and very helpful. Rooms are modest but clean.
