In a 19th-century building, the Quirinale is a 10-minute walk from the Colosseum. This historic hotel is connected to Rome Opera House through a passageway in its leafy courtyard.
Score from 4118 reviews Very good
Hotel Regno is 650 ft from the Trevi Fountain. Toss a coin in the fountain if you want to come back to Rome, most likely to this superior 3-star hotel.
Score from 1105 reviews Very good
Just a 5-minute walk from the Colosseum and 325 ft from Cavour Metro, Grand Hotel Palatino is in Rome's Monti District. It has a bar and 2 restaurants. Wi-Fi is free throughout.
Score from 1350 reviews Very good
Set in a beautiful 19th-century building, Eurostars International is across the road from Rome's Opera Theatre. Its elegant rooms feature free-Wi-Fi, air conditioning and satellite TV.
Score from 1923 reviews Very good
- Buffet paid for breakfast is good if you can utilise it - Location is central but tucked away so make sure you get all details prior to arriving - Take bus 40 from termini stn it stops closest to hotel ( taxis not worth for solo travellers and not many know this hotel tend to misguide you)
- No value for money for this room _ heater overheats room, disrupts sleep - rooms on main road too noisy - Unfriendly unhelpful staff ( wouldnt budge on any requests, if want late checkout they dont accept so confirm before booking)
I have been to Rome several times and this was easily the best hotel i have stayed in! It was within seconds of the best parts of Rome, far better than staying towards Termini - ideal for us as my wife was 6 months pregnant! The wifi was top rate, working fine in the room, which was of ample size. In terms of extras - the breakfast was well worth paying for as the optimal extra and their rate for a taxi to the airport was only 4 Euros more than the two of us getting the train from FCO airport to termini and then a ten minute can ride to the hotel. Everything about our stay was top rate and can't wait to go back!
The hotel is walking distance from the Colosseum, the Panthenon and the Trevi Fountain. It is just round the corner from shops and restaurants. There is plenty of choice for breakfast at the hotel. We didn't eat dinner there though. It's a pleasant hotel, clean and tidy. The staff spoke English and were welcoming.
The room we had was small. I could only stand in the shower, not bend over, and I'm quite slim! On arrival late evening the gentleman at the desk took payment on my card + 20% but didn't explain clearly why. When leaving this was refunded. The room had no tea/coffee making facilities and there was a charge to use the TV.
location is great - close to everything
the beds are too hard - the wifi slow - the staff is not very friendly
location and comfy bed
repairs to the next room began at 9am, lots of noise.
...... No thing
The hotel is in an amazing location, rooms are clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend!
Tax not included in the price which was not clear when making booking. That said, good value considering the location
Within 5 to 20 minutes of walking you could find yourself at the Colosseo, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain (currently covered with scaffolding undergoing a facelift), Piazza Navona, the numerous museums, Vatican City and many many more, with plenty of ristorante and cafes too
Small room with thin walls make it very difficult for a light sleeper.
Ideal location! All is near, really NO transportation needed, recomended for family . Clean, polite stuff, o.k. breakfast, not outstanding but free wifi. We will visit again!
Good location. Breakfast was delicious, but little assortment. Room floor, bathroom was clean, but there was lots of dust.
Slow wifi, only one lift per all hotel which was also slow.
location 5 stars!!! breakfast great coffee prices
cant find something
rooms require updating
dinner not offered at hotel restaurant.
Location and cleanliness.
Very good location
Room to small for double, cold shower 3 days out of 7,11 euros per day for more than one English TV channel.
The location was perfect - few minutes walk from all of the main attractions! The staff were extremely friendly and gave us an excellent restaurant recommendation for our first night! We will definitely be back and will be recommending the hotel to all our friends!
The location! Its right in the middle of everything, only Vatican and the oo needing a taxi trip. Trevi fountain whist under renovation at the moment is five to ten mins away, Coliseum was a slow 20 min walk but visible with 1 minutes from hotel. Friendly staff, maps provided, great sized room especially for Europe, has a lift.
thin walls, could hear next door flicking the light switch but that's all I didn't like
The location is perfect for all of Rome's sights. It is walking distance from all attractions apart from The Vatican which is still only a short bus ride
Hotel is a bit dated and in need of modernisation and could do with some coffee and tea facilities in the room
Very helpful staff, they took great care of us Clean room with nice view. The hotel is near the most interesting sights (piazza venezia, colosseum, via di corso, vittoriano emmanouelo)and the bus stop nearby to go to termini station, Vatican and many other places.Fontana di trevi and piazza di spania is 20 minutes walking distance.
Nice and helpful stuff. They like a good humour! Hotel needs an update but still very cozy.
Don´t go to Rome with your car or rented car, because if you not a resident of Rome you can´t drive or park the car in the center of City. Every cop is interested in why you are here! And of course, they can not understand a word of English!
Location was good. Comfy bed. Cheap and cheerful base for a weekend Rome trip.
Ran out of hot water. Staff recommendations weren't great. Decor pretty outdated.
Location was perfect
The room was very small and uncomfortable. This hotel seems like a two star hotel. The garage was 500 meters away for 40 Euro/night and it's not open for 7/24. The food was very simple, not an Italian style..
Location was great & the staff were very helpful & spoke very good english. The bed was very comfortable & was overall a good choice in hotel.
Breakfast cost extra. We could occasionally hear our neighbours.
