There is one of the best hotel we know! Very comfortable, big space and wonderful clean! Very nice garden. Great breakfast and everything what you need for to enjoy. Lovely owners - Donatella and Stefano! They are very kind and do their best! Our best recomendations for everybody!
We tried the separate cottage in the garden and I was impressed with it's spaciousness and how tastefully decorated it was. The king size bed made a real feature draped with a romantic canopy and very pretty bed linen and pillows. We were able to cycle within 20 minutes to all the tourist attractions of Vicenza and villas nearby, which saved parking problems. Our host was friendly and very helpful and we enjoyed ourselves so much we wished we could have stayed longer.
The garden cottage is surrounded by trees which makes it very private, but also blocks out the attractive views of the sky and distant hills seen from the front of the house.
Lovlely, well equipped room. Nice breakfast and beautiful garden. Right in the middle between lake Garda and Venice.
This is a dream place on a country lane outside Vicenza. Less than an hours drive to Verona and also Venice and also Treviso. Donatela is the perfect hostess and is warm and friendly. She bakes each day for breakfast - so delicious, especially the chocolate and cream croissants. Cannot speak more highly - peaceful and lovely.
nice place quiet close to the centre
The Country House was so comfortable and relaxing and Donatella was an excellent host we will be returning!
Back again because we liked it so much the first time. Everything was perfect, especially the way the B&B has been furnished, Donatella was the perfect host and you could not ask for better accommodation and surroundings. Some great restaurants and supermarkets close by with easy access to Vicenza and other interesting towns.
Beautiful accommodation, peaceful but walkable to the village and, more importantly, to the Country Club Pizzeria where they brew their own delicious beers, Birracura. Donatella and her husband, Stefano, are perfect hosts. Whilst at the Country Club, a lightning storm occurred, the owner told me that Donatella had called him to say that her husband would pick me up when I was ready. Such kind, thoughtful people! Excellent selection for breakfast, including home made pastries, delicious! This B&B is 10/10 for everything!
everything, owners went out of their way to be helpful
everything was fantastic. we had a cabin in the garden and it was so peaceful and relaxing. The lady was very friendly, breakfast was good and we ate at the restaurant she recommended for a good price.
Great location to travel from. Quiet area. Close to Vicenza. Friendly Staff. Secure AND gated area. We would stay here again?
The best B&B I 've ever stayed, after traveling 42 countries in the world.
Nobody can believe there are two same addresses in Vicenza. I went to the wrong one. Be careful.
The whole experience was just lovely. The owners go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and are extremely helpful in assisting in acquainting their guests with the area. The cottage is beautifully decorated and Cosy. Breakfast is great as well. We enjoyed chatting with the owners and other guests. Thanks for making our stay so memorable.
It’s very cozy and quiet, perfect place to get peace and quiet and privacy. Car for going around is MUST. The owners are very friendly and hospitable. The cottage is small but comfortable, also the double bed.
Breakfast was every day the same, tea/coffee and pastries, not a big choice of ham and cheese, only boiled eggs but cold. In the shower it takes really forever when the hot water arrives. The tab water is not drinkable.
Very friendly and nice personnel ready to help you anytime. Lovely atmosphere and music. Perfect and tasty breakfast. Loved it! :)
Very cosy, good breakfast. We left only one day for sightseeing Vicenza, and it was not very smart of us to take a hotel, which was 5 km from the town :) The host was ready to get us from railway station and back (not for free).
The signal of Wi-Fi was strong, but there was no Wi-Fi :) We stayed only for one night, so I had no time/force/will to clear the situation up. But I had choosen only between the hotels with wi-fi, so I really expected to have one.
If one likes B&B's then that is as good as it gets. Accommodation feels as you are staying with a family - this can work both ways though! For me, a hotel is more of a personal preference as I find B&Bs a bit restrictive.
Not sure about the choice of decoration; but this is what you get in family type B&Bs...
Everything was excellent. The place is perfect. Around the cottage there are a lot of trees. The cottage's very clean and well decorated. The kitchen is fully equipment. On the breakfast we got a big choose of everything. Owner was very gentle and friendly. She speaks English very we'll. We love this place.
Everything! The couple was fabulous! The room was amazing! The bathroom & shower were fantastic! The bedding and furniture were terrifically good!
nothing! I could live here!
Our experience at Il Melo was exceptional. Donatella, the owner, was a delightful hostess. Her English was quite good, and she was so pleasant and so attentive to anything that we needed or wanted. Her breakfasts were excellent and included home made pastries and eggs! It’s rare to get eggs in an Italian hotel or B&B. The cottage we stayed in was charming, spotless, and comfortable. Having a kitchenette was a definite plus. Also, sitting in the garden was enjoyable after a busy day sightseeing. If you like a small, private B&B, and you have a car to get into Vicenza, Il Melo is an ideal place to stay. We recommend Il Melo without reservation.
Everything, service, welcome, location, caring owner, cabin cleanliness and appointments, free wifi, breakfast. We couldn't fault I'll Melo and would return again and highly recommend.
Cottages were really comfy and very well equipped - best kitchen we have had. Nice and quiet area. Very complete breakfast Very friendly owner gave good tips on heading into Vicenza
Donatella and Stefano went out of their way to help us feel 'part of the family' Because we arrived late ( by taxi) and did not have a car ( which you need for this location) they took us to a regional cafe where we were introduced to the local fate.Stefano even drove us to the train station on our return to Venice to save us a taxi fare.Their service was personal, positive. They have bikes for riding the local bike paths. Walking into Vicenza from Il Melo B and B however, is not easy as the roads do not have footpaths in many places. We took advantage of their beautiful grounds and this being the last part of our travels we had an opportunity to 'chill out" before facing the crowds of Venice and the long return airtrip.
We absolutely liked our 6 night stay in Il Melo. The owner is very nice and helpful. The pictures well represent what you can find. We had our small house which we loved. In the evening we were sitting out in our terrace. It was very calm and quiet. The owner did not say anything even if we had a late breakfast (which was a plus for us). It is a good place if you are with car and want to explore Veneto region. Vicenza city centre is 5-10 minutes by car, or around 40 minutes on foot. Thanks for a nice holidays!
Friendly welcome Closed Parking in the garden Rooms - exactly as shown on the pictures Way to the city quite easy by car
