Fantastic serviceminded staff and caretaker! If we had our own Country Relais we would have hired him! With only 8 rooms, the Relais was quiet and calm and it felt like visiting friends at their summer villa. Stayed in a rustic 4 bed room in the main building with ocean view in the distance. Had separate airconditioning units in the 2 bedrooms which was a great. The breakfast was typical italian, being served 8-11! Regrettably, we didn't take the opportunity to have the caretakers wife cook Sri lankan food for dinner. Although the pool is smallish is great for kids as our 6 yr old could stand at the bottom of the pool. Feniglia beach is only 5 min away. We stayed a week, would have stayed longer and will definately be back!

If anything; the uneven slated patio area around the pool is not ideal for toddlers.

The reviews and property description doesn't comply with the product and service. This was our 2 last nights of honeymoon, which unfortenatelly did not meet our expectations. Very poor location next to a water treatment station. Reserved a room with terrace and view over the garden and on check-in were told they have any rooms with terrace? Any Bar or Restaurant available. Need a car since taxis look like a challenge. Closer beach is crowed and it is a fair 10 minute drive. Just a few fair comments full filled by a totally overcharged room rate.

We picked it like a needle in a haystack of options, simply because it was on our way to a pre-booked destination. We struck lucky. So much so that we stayed an extra night. It was a hunting lodge - and I can't abide hunting - and next to a golf course - and I'd rather die than pick up a golf club - but the place had absolutely stunning views, the room was beautiful, wi-fi, a lounge to relax in, a pool and lovely gardens; a perfect authentic feel to everything. The 'island' itself is fantastic to explore, a rugged coast-line, lots of restaurants and a long quality white sand beach about 5 mins away (by car). But best of all, the manager, a warm, gentle man from Sri Lanka, offered to cook for us - and it was exquisite - both nights. Highest praise.

La posizione, lo charme della struttura che senza "pomposità" eccessive ha dato il giusto calore di una Country House, tutto molto curato, abbiamo soggiornato in inverno e il riscaldamento era perfetto nella stanza, ambienti spaziosi e salottino per la colazione molto accogliente...sicuramente da tornarci con la bella stagione

Country Relais La Mortella è una deliziosa villa di campagna immersa nel verde e con un bellissima vista sul mare. Ottima meta per un soggiorno in relax...non si hanno orari per la colazione...ci si sveglia a qualsiasi ora e si trova una bellissima tavola imbandita con profumatissime torte fatte in casa. La Sig.ra Gaia non ci ha fatto nessun problema neanche per gli orari di check-in/out!!!

En arrivant, à 13H, personne pour nous accueillir, le l inge sale traîne sur la terrasse, le couvert du petit déjeuner est encore sur les tables. Une amie se retrouve dans une chambre avec une petite fenêtre à 2m de haut au lieu de vue panoramique; on l'a changée de chambre le lendemain La dernière nuit, nous étions seuls dans l'hôtel, même si on nous a dit le lendemain que le gardien avait couché là; le matin les lumières étaient toujours allumées, et pas de trâce de sa femme et de son jeune fils !! A 8h 15 le lundi, le petit déjeuner n'était pas préparé; deux personnes sont arrivées à 8h30 pour s'en occuper !! Beaucoup d'efforts à faire au niveau du service pour que le prix soit acceptable et que l'endroit soit paradisiaque

für alle, die einen ausserordentlich guten einrichtungeschmack zu schätzen wissen. dies ist eines der schönsten hotels das ich je angetroffen hab. man bekommt sofort das gefühl «heim zu kommen» - die zimmer und häuschen sind liebevoll gestaltet. es gibt einen grossen aufenthaltsort, den salon mit einem schönen kamin, mit musik, büchern und zeitschriften. das frühstückbuffet ist ein fest. der ideale ort seine seele baumeln zu lassen oder für ein paar romantische tage. hier habe ich das gefühl willkommen zu sein und mich dennoch vollkommen frei bewegen zu können. ein traum!

Posizione e cura dei dettagli

Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt, Garten und Pool sehen immer top aus. Frühstück haben wir bekommen, auch wenn es nicht auf der Reservierung steht, es ist zwar jeden Tag das gleiche aber wir waren zufrieden. Der Mann von Sri Lanka ist freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Wir haben ein sehr kleines Zimmer mit kleinem Fenster bekommen , auf der Reservierung stand 30 qm , da waren es beim weiten nicht so viel! Zum Glück hat die Besitzerin alles gemacht damit wir zufrieden sind: sie hat uns eine große Ferienwohnung in der benachbarten Anlage angeboten, Frühstück und Pool gab's in La Mortella. Alles in einem wir waren zufrieden aber wir empfehlen die Anlage nur für kurze Zeit. Unsere 10 Tage dort waren viel zu lange, es gibt fast nichts zu besuchen, die schönen Toscana Städte sind weit weg.

Luogo meraviglioso in mezzo al verde, con vista sulla Laguna di Orbetello. Camere suggestive e dotate di tutti i confort pur non rinunciando ad uno stile rurale. Colazione ottima ed abbondante, personale squisito e disponibile per ogni esigenza. Per gli amanti del golf c'è un accesso diretto all'Argentario Golf Club. Assolutamente da tornare!
