Fantastic holiday in Amalfi. We would stay at this hotel again if we visit there in the future. Staff were all very helpful and the hotel was in a beautiful location. Nothing to dislike!

We loved mostly everything. The location is just off of the main square to the left and the signs make it easy to find, up about 70 steps but it's worth it once inside your room, great views of amalfi's beach and great size, decent bed. Definitely worth the price! The only thing I had to complain about which was in part to my circumstance. After not being able to check in until 8 and after notifying the reception through email, no one was there and a note said to call "number" to have someone come let u in but not having service since being overseas i had to ask a random lady who was nice enough to do it. But that situation dissipated as soon as I got in my room. Also breakfast isn't too varied, might as well go somewhere in the town.

croce di Amalfi was converted into a hotel only 2 years ago. It's an awesome location. Our room had a balcony with view of the sea and the top of the Doumo. It was amazing. The staff were very friendly. The include breakfast on the terrace in the morning, overlooking the sea front as very nice. There are 77 steps up to the hotel. A little tough carrying your suitcases. Not too bad for us, but I wouldn't recommend it if you are elderly or not in reasonable shape.

Everything was exceptional at this hotel - the view, size of the room, the bathroom, the cleanliness of the whole hotel, the happy staff and the price, great value ! There are a number of steps to get there but that is part of the experience.

Beautifully and tastefully restructured old house built into southern facing hillside overlooking Amaflfi rooftops to sea. terrace view for relaxing coffees or drinks. note this is a low overhead B&B, so limited services. but staff were delightful, intelligent people. access with bags in tough - I counted 110 narrow stone steps from the tiny (no vehicle access) Piazza dei Dogi. Another dozen or so steps down to the Bus Station piazza. (Parking is in the undergound municipal car park so only Eur13/24hr.) ten minutes walk across town.

I would have liked to be clearer how expensive parking is in Amalfi. I would also have liked to be worn about the numerous steps. You get used to it!

Friendly staff, nice clean rooms, good location. Tough to get luggage Upton and down from... Lots of steps, but that appears to be typical for the Amalfi coast.

The service was warm and friendly. The room was very clean, with a beautiful view of the coast and town of Amalfi. It was conveniently located near many fine restaurants and shops, yet in a quiet location. A very pleasant little boutique hotel! It was not the hotel's fault, but WiFi access in Amalfi can be sporadic. The many steps to the hotel are part of the price you pay for the views from the Amalfi coast.

Great location in the center square allowed for night dining and strolling in the center of town, without taking bus transportation. Friendly and very helpful staff. The views from your room and dining veranda were exceptional. No elevators to the hotel. The walk up to the hotel (approximately four stories) from the square was a killer. Baggage handling service when available is at an extra charge.

Great access to village square (piazza). Great views of the sea from our room. Loved the Italian tile of our room against the white walls. Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the sea-breathtaking! Very authentic-which we appreciated. The staff, although limited in their command of English, was very pleasant and helpful. For us, the many steps was a great way to get us ready for hiking to Atrani, Ravello and Minori. Upon check in, the staff didn't have a record of our reservation so had to scramble to get us a room. Our room wasn't quite finished construction-wise, but it was fine-very adequate for our purposes. One point that should be made for future booking purposes -- it is a long climb up many stairs to get to each guest room--NOT for the elderly or handicapped--no elevators!

A fantastic location of which you need to go up some 80 wide steps but all hotels in this area are the same step wise! The hotel is central to everything, the cathedral shops, restaurants and taxi and shuttle buses just down the road. An exceptionally clean and well decorated hotel - the decor is beautiful as well as the view from your room if you have a balcony overlooking the sea. Breakfast is more than sufficient with a wide selection of cereal, fruit, yogurt, pastries, bread and toast as well as fruit juice and coffee. Paolo who manages the hotel is an excellent hostess and her team are very professional. We would definitely recommend and return to this hotel if visiting Amalfi again in the future. We felt very welcomed and at home here. The air conditioning is amazing!!

Friendly staff, nice clean rooms with classic italian decorations, lovely communal roof terrace with great view for breakfast. Good value for money. The sliding door which separated my single room from the single room beside me (often used to create one large room) was super thin and provided no privacy at all from my noisy neighbours. Light from next door shone under the door and through the key hole at night, I could hear everything they said, and I could hear them using the toilet! from memory my room was number 13, i would definitely recommend the hotel, but ensure you don't get this room! also, there is quite a few stairs to climb from the town square, which was not a problem for me, but perhaps if you are a little older or have lots of luggage, this may be a problem

I suggest in the hotel's web site should be written that you can't reach the hotel by car. When you get to Amalfi where the park and how to get to the hotel

Staying at Hotel Croce di Amalfi was a great experience. It has Italian style decor, great breakfast, fantastic view of Amalfi and really really helpful and friendly staff. I will definitely be coming back to stay here at my next visit to Amalfi. I just wish I booked it for a bit longer! I can't speak more highly of it.
