Hotel Il Nido is a small, peaceful hotel overlooking the Bay of Amalfi. It has air-conditioned rooms with balconies and panoramic views, free Wi-Fi and free parking.
Score from 289 reviews Very good
Set in the heart of Amalfi, 110 yards from the beach and the ferry port, Camere Con Vista offers you a spectacular sea view.
Score from 109 reviews Good
Centrally located in Amalfi's historic Piazza del Duomo and within walking distance of the beaches, this full- service B&B still manages to retain the charm and beauty of times past.
Score from 212 reviews Exceptional
In the main square of Amalfi, Hotel Fontana is just 100 yards from the port and bus stops so guests can immediately start enjoying their vacation.
Score from 199 reviews Good
This hotel is conveniently located right off of one of the main squares in the city (Piazza del Dogi) and a short 5-minute walk from the main bus stops that will take you to Positano, Ravello and other major sites along the Amalfi Coast. The staff is absolutely wonderful - friendly, approachable, polite, helpful and flexible. I had a hard time deciding which city I wanted to make my home base while exploring the coast and you can't beat the location and value of this hotel (this was half the price of the place I booked in Sorrento and about 10x better). I loved the tile work throughout the hotel because it brought a mediterranean-like charm. I didn't mind the steps at all and would stay here again in a heartbeat! This is a quaint, cozy hotel that gives off more of a bed-and-breakfast vibe. I highly recommend it!!!!!
I really can't think of anything I didn't like. If forced to pick something, I suppose it's a little more difficult to check in if you don't have a mobile phone while traveling. The reception closes at 8PM and there's no one available to buzz you in if you arrive later. The owners live a few minutes away so you have to call their cell phone so they can meet you at the hotel for a late check-in. This is slightly more inconvenient if you don't have easy access to a phone.
2 minutes walk from the bus stop. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the bathroom was recently refurbished. The breakfast was very good and we liked the terrace.
It is a bit hard to get hold of the staff.
Gorgeous breakfast on the roof, nothing too much trouble for the staff to help you with, excellent location and views of the sea from bedroom balcony
> Location is close to perfect; near the centre but in a quiet street and with a great view. > General feel of the hotel is relaxed but elegant & staff very helpful. > Luggage carrying service is offered--and do suggest using that unless seriously into bodybuilding...there are many steps.
> The costa amalfitana road does run almost next to and below the hotel so traffic can be noisy at times -fortunately the hotel is quite high up so its not right in your face.
There was some annoying sound during night from air conditioning or bathroom from other room or the street, difficult to sleep.
Breakfast was outstanding and staff very helpful.
A lot of steps, but you are staying in Amalfi and every location is on a hillside.
Poor wifi Not the easiest to find hotel Not sure why they call this a hotel，it's really a b&b Thin walls Not sure but I could have gotten bed bugs there
My single room had no view and was quite dark, not what I was expecting.
Perfect romantic location, We wished we stayed longer.
Staff were very helpful and reassuring. Small intimate nature of hotel. Room was a good size.
There are seventy steps to be climbed between hotel and town centre. This is ok and 'quaint' if you are young and fit, but a bit of an ordeal each time from town if not so fit! YOU SHOULD MAKE IT CLEAR ON YOUR WEB THAT THIS IS THE CASE.
the lack of information from the beginning for the previous arrangements for the luggage and car, the information should be more specific, even to proposes to arrive without car to the city.
Comfortable bed with a great balcony, great location, and pleasant staff.
There were a few things in the room that require fixing, such as a light that had been taped together with brown restore, a loose toilet seat, an unfinished phone point. As an electrician, I spotted all these and found them quite distracting from the room and the hotels over all aesthetic.
Good location for Amalfi. Porter help with suitcases to get up to the hotel. Friendly staff and good continental breakfast.
Terrace for breakfast and drinks. Great location in the centre of Amalfi
From where the taxi left you it was approx 100 stairs to the hotel. Despite the advertising not all rooms have a view of the ocean - you need to specify that you want the view. Furniture needs repair and concern over exposed electrical wires in the rooms
Nice room. Very accomodating staff. Let us borrow their cell phone to make a call and delivered breakfast to the room the night before when we had to leave before the time that breakfast opened. Overall very happy with the room and hotel.
A safe in the room and some towel holders would be an improvement. Be aware that it is over 70 steps up to the hotel, but that is the case for many rooms in Amalfi. No phone in room, so best if you have a cell phone.
short walk from ferry and bus hub, in the old historic part, plenty of food options. having to walk up 70 steps (instead of 170 steps)
Lovely room overlooking sea, very friendly and pleasant staff. Given a key card so can come and go at any time to suit. Breakfast on a terrace outside (or inside) was a lovely plus.
It is basically a B & B as no public rooms - not a dislike, just to warn people. It is also up 70 steps (no vehicle access at all) so one needs to be fit and healthy and not too old!
The team were really friendly and helpful. We only had to ask, and it was done; more hangers, a kettle for the room, a breakfast made up for our super early departure. There was plenty of storage space and great mirrors and lighting in the bathroom. Our used towels were changed and the room cleaned daily. The bed was very comfy, and with the additional door and shutters closed the room was exceptionally quiet even though we were just off the main square. There was plenty of choice for a substantial continental breakfast, all fresh with coffee of your preference made to order. We had room 12 which was outside of the main building, our bedroom did not have a sea view, but as we were out all day, it was more important to us that we were in a room that meant we were not disturbed by any other guests coming or going during the night. Overall a great quality hotel, with super hard working staff in a beautiful location
As others had mentioned finding the place was tricky. A much more specific map to find them should be sent with confirmation, we had to ask 5 locals before we found 'THE STEPS' !!! that led to the door of reception. As we were outside the main building we had just a few extra steps to climb before we reached our own front door. We needed to ask for more hangers, 2 was not going to work. One of the mornings we did get woken by, I think it was the breakfast tables, being dragged across our ceiling, but we were there for 4 nights. The only other thing was that the wifi did not work in the room because our walls were thick stone, so if you must have connection check it out with them before you arrive.
Great location in centre of Amalfi despite the steps up, which is what you expect in Amalfi. Full of character Fantastic view from our balcony Staff very friendly and helpful Even though it's in the centre of Amalfi the shutters and windows blocked out all the noise at night.
The cleanliness, the friendly and helpful staff, its position and comfort.
The bl**dy steps getting up to it!
I like small personal hotels and this was perfect, although my bedroom was right beside reception I could hear all the set-up for breakfast.
The approx 80 steps up to the hotel but after all it is Amalfi. I would book this hotel again.
View, location, facilities, breakfast, clean, mini bar, spacious, big window, very accommodating reception lady, beach towels, daily servicing of room, comfortable bed, good air conditioning.
Loud Street noise, noise from other rooms, old/bad shower that had little pressure and spurted water at odd angles.lots of steps!!!. Everytime someone enters hotel there is a buzzer that rings very loudly and interrupted our sleep.
Smack in the middle of Amalfi without being too busy. Gorgeous breakfast balcony with views and sunshine. Stylish without being too "Amalfi Coast"! Lovely.
Excellent location close to great restaurants, shops & coffee bars. Breakfast terrace over looking the sea front and panorama beautiful, Staff helpful and friendly, a little gem of a place well worth the money
they openly admit and announce the steps lead to the place but in fairness all the hotels are built on the rock face so don't be surprised and we're a healthy enough mid 50's couple that had no trouble what so ever getting there
