We were upgraded to a junior suite with a wonderful view of Mt. Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples. The owner, Alfonso and his daughter Steffi were so friendly and helpful, they greeted us each day and welcomed our 7 month old son. We ordered room service a couple of nights on our balcony and the food was fantastic. We also found some great local restaurants and supermarkets all within a short walk. The apartments are very new with modern facilities, Amalfi decor and a well equipped kitchen. We found Vico Equense to be a lovely quiet town to stay and use as a base to explore the Amalfi Coast. We would highly recommend staying at Cubo Apartments. The suite doesn't have a freezer.

As described by all previous reviews. The size, decor and location cannot be faulted. I can also confirm that as previously reviewed the hosts are the real gems of this hotel. Their hospitality was second to none so if you want to be made to feel like you're part of a happy Italian family this place is a must. Following what I have already said it may seem strange that we did book for three nights but only stayed for one. This was because of a mix up I have read about it in other reviews so I should have looked into it further before arriving but didn't. I thought I had booked a room with a balcony with sea views but we were checked into the American Suite which is a lovely apartment but has a window view of the sea (it was a great view but it was out of a window). The juliet balcony faced a community square and town (again very pretty view but not what I expected). Don't just go by the pictures on the site on this occasion let Sig. Alfonso know if a sea view is a must. I didn't so only stayed one night and booked a hotel in Sorrento to get those all important views of Mnt.Versus. This was a bit of a strain on the holiday budget so plan ahead and avoid disappointment because the views from the Cubo is the best if you can get it. We would defiantly stay here again in-spite of the mix up because of all the good things all other reviews have mentioned and especially to be spoiled by Sig. Alfonso and his wonderful family again. There was a problem with the hot water pressure during our stay.

Cubo Apartments are modern, clean and comfortable with the most amazing views of the Bay of Naples. Alfonso, Anna and Stephania, our hosts, treated us as family and looked after us so well. They were so helpful in letting us know the best sights to see, which train or ferry to catch and even drew maps for us to follow. Cubo has their own restaurant called Signum which has the most delicious food, so fresh, lovingly made and reasonably priced. Our next trip to Italy will definitely include another stay at Cubo Apartments! Nothing. The stay was the best ever.

Luxury, ultra-modern apartment. Very spacious for 2 people with a big kitchen and 3 balconies, 2 of which have a view overthe Bay of Naples to Vesuvius! Very close to the Circumvesuviana train station, as well as Vico Equense's centre. Nice breakfast in the smart bar/restaurant downstairs and we were offered the option of having it delivered to the room - this would be fantastic in the warmer months meaning you could eat out on the balcony overlooking the sea and Vesuvius. Vico Equense is a nice little place in its own right, but is also quick on the train line to Sorrento (10 mins), Vesuvius (20 mins) & Naples (1 hour). The aforementioned train line is a little 'downmarket'! Given the narrow roads in and around Vico Equense driving, and particularly parking, would be a worse option that relying on the train.

Cubo Apartments was absolutely stunning! Our room (Africa) had a large balcony that overlooked the Bay of Naples and Mt. Vesuvius. The apartment had all new furniture, a modern sleek look, high tech usage (push of a button for all lights, window shades, music in rooms, tv in English, the list goes on). The in-house restaurant is melt in your mouth material. The pasta (with lemon and orange zest, impregnated with basil) topped with the freshest shrimp - best in my whole life! (Family recipe of Anna) Top it off with dessert (and I don't eat desserts!) with fresh chantilly creme (last dessert choice on the bottom of the menu)- I shamefully ate the whole thing! But the outstanding part of Cubo Apartments was the staff. Alfonso couldn't do enough for us. I even had an offer to purchase my home while there, and Alfonso stayed up receiving offers, scanning them, I read and signed, then he scanned and returned -- after 11pm at night! When we were stuck with wet laundry and leaving the next day, wife Anna and daughter Stephanie stayed up late drying and folding them. These people were family to us, not proprietors! They completely dedicated themselves to us, both day and night. On a scale of 1-10, they were 15!! Everything was perfect, from start to finish!

Very helpful and friendly owners, excellent facilities always clean and well maintained. In a convenient location for trips to the main tourist sites eg Pompeii, Vesuvius, Herculaneum - Vico Equense is a relatively quiet town compared to most, not far from the motorway, although we would urge anyone thinking of hiring a car to reconsider! Car parking just across the road (costs extra). Superb views especially from the roof terrace. Reasonably priced for the area and with some good local shops and restaurants, or good food on the premises. Our apartment was one of a pair that shares a door and doorbell - a little annoying when the other apartment keeps having visitors and you don't know who should be going to answer the door.

Wonderful owner-staff. Great restaurant is part of the building with excellent family cooking and service. Apartment was spacious and well designed. Vico Equense is not as touristy as Sorrento but is close to Pompeii and Herculaneum. The apartments are close to the Circumvesuviano railway station

Upon arriving at the Cubo you are immediately welcomed and made to feel 'this is your home away from home'. It is a family run business and they take excellent care of you during your stay. Stephania speaks excellent English and was very helpful by printing out the train, bus and boat schedules, so we could plan our excursions. She is such a delight and provides exceptional customer service. The apartments are very modern, hi-tech, very clean and have Wi-Fi. The food prepared by Mama is to die for, so we ended up eating there every night. You can taste the love she puts into preparing your meal. Also, they would bring the food and wine up to the apartment, so we could eat out on the balcony and enjoy the view of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. We would definetely book again at the Cubo on our next trip to Italy.

The Cubo Apartments are in a perfect location. Short walk from the Circumvesuviana Train is a plus. The owners strive to do everything they can to make your stay all you want it to be. The Restaurant, Signum is delicious. Overall a wonderful place to stay. The view of Vesuvius and the lights at night are spectacular!!

We had a wonderful time staying here, we didn't want to leave. Alfonso, Stefania, Micele and Anna made us feel very welcome and treated us like their family. We stayed in the 'Africa' apartment with our two teenage kids and we all loved it. It was well equipped, with everything we needed, if there was anything extra we just had to ask and they made sure we had it. Their 'Signum' restaurant is lovely and Stefania makes the best Japanese food I have ever had! To stay in this town was perfect for us as it was much less touristy than Sorrento but had easy access by train but we had a car. Tha Amalfi coast is also very close by. I would highly recommend this place, we will be back for sure. It's easy to give this review because they deserve it... And Stefanias Limoncello is the best!!! Can't think of anything.....

Didn't like the fact that we booked months in advance for 5 nights and were told on arrival that we had 3 nights in the first apartment and 2 nights in another apartment. After travelling for a month we wanted to relax and unwind. We wanted to unpack and relax but couldn't as we were on the move again after 3 nights. If we wanted to do this we would have booked elsewhere for 3 nights and Cubo for 2

Their restaurant is an absolute gem. They do Italian food and Japanese. The meals we had were fresh and perfectly cooked.. You could taste the love that goes into it. I would definitely stay at Cubo again not because they made us welcome and comfortable, and went out of their way on more than one occasion, nor because the apartment and view was sensational, but because it was a home away from home with food to die for.

Cubo's website is promising..., the real thing is much better!! It starts with a hearty welcome in a relaxed atmosphere, which allows you to immediately relax and enjoy your stay to the full. The utmost attention is given to an attractive in- and exterior design with very high standards. We where positively surprised by the way the owners have succeeded in combining this modern design apartment hotel with a warm and family style service in which personal attention, optimal timing and excellent food (a la carte dining and lunch and a special goodbye lunch prepared by "Mama" herself, that was heavenly tasteful). We will be back!

We had a beautiful apartment, very modern and stylishly decorated, with very high-tec facilities: central controls for lights and shutters, Satelite tv, rainfall shower, good (free) Wi Fi reception. Glorious views across the bay to Vesuvius from the main bedroom and small terrace. The staff at Cubo are outstanding - it's a family owned business, and everyone of them goes out of their way to make their guests' stay as happy as possible. Particular praise to Stephania for making sure we had everything we needed, from directions and parking information before we arrived, to making sure we knew all the best transport options and places to see. Anna's cooking is fantastic - there is a great variety of traditional Italian food and a sushi bar. Ate in the restaurant several times during our stay, and were never disappointed. The location is good too - Vico is close to Sorrento, Pompeii and the Amalfi coast, but not so crowded with tourists. The town has plenty of friendly local shops, bars and restaurants, a post office and a bank with a reliable cashpoint.

The staff and location were excellent! We felt very welcome and the owners were very attentive and accomodating. Our young boys were so happy to be at Cubo and loved hanging out with the owners. The only downside was that there was a problem with the original room we had booked and so we were given another apartment that was about 200 to 300 meters away from the main building and apartments. The room was very modern and spacious, but the walls were thin and we could hear the neighbors every morning. Nonetheless, the apartment was very large and comfortable. We also loved the food at Sigmun restaurant (the restaurant run by the owners). Excellent Italian cuisine!!!

Cubo apartments was a wonderful place to stay. We had a 2 bedroom, 2 bath with kitchen and livingroom. It is run by a wonderful family who make sure that your needs are always met. They also have their own restaurant featuring freshly prepared meals made with ingredients from their own garden. Ate dinners three different nights and all were wonderful. Located within walking distance of the circumvesuviana train station with access to naples, pompei, and sorrento. Highly recommend.

A lovely, convenient place to stay when visiting the Amalfi coast. Sorrento is 15 mins away by train (the station is an easy mins walk) and the Cubo Apartments are easily reached by bus from Naples airport. The apartment we stayed in, Europa, was extremely comfortable and well equipped with a breathtaking view from the terrace across the bay of Naples to Vesuvius. Below the Apartments is the Antico Bagno, a small and private beach, with springs which keep the water cool and very clear. Breakfast was good as was the restaurant. Vico Equense is a charming, typically Italian seaside town. The owner, Sig.Alfonso, goes out of his way to make you feel at home as do the rest of the staff. I would love to go back!
