The Royal Continental is set right on Naples' seafront promenade, in a quiet neighbourhood. It offers a stunning rooftop pool, with panoramic views across the Bay of Naples and Castel dell'Ovo.

The hotel was well positioned with in easy walking distance to the old town and the Port. The staff were very helpful with our requests. We would stay there again.
The room was clean but the design or materials used in the shower where not able to be cleaned properly. There was mould on all the corners.
Location, Cable TV, Bathroom
The bed were horrible, we asked for a queen bed, and got to twins joined by a single base, that at nights separated. The english of the staff is poor.
Location was good but over-priced and not good value for money
Staff tended to talk amongst themselves while serving us at reception on arrival ! The bathroom was a wet room and was a bit of a nightmare. Having had a shower first in the morning , my partner then had to negotiate puddles of water to get to the toilet ! Obviously the slope of the floor for the water to drain away was not correctly installed. WiFi was a problem as well - difficult to connect even though a code was issued on arrival !
Very friendly and accommodating staff (particularly the lovely Francesca!), the most comfortable bed and bedding I've ever slept in, a large rainwater-head shower, very slick and stylish modern decor and art in rooms and public areas, superb location in the middle of the historic centre (as the hotel name suggests!) within walking distance to most sights, the room faced away from the street so it was very quiet for sleeping.
The room was quite small, so if I had have been travelling with someone else it may be a bit of a squeeze to fit two sets of belongings in the double room. The smoke alarm was located right above the bed so it flashed its lights all night which was a bit of a distraction...better to move the device to closer to the doorway away from the bed.
The deco of the hotel and the art collection. Room is quite well appointed also provide a small fridge for mini bar. Convenience to walk to the port to catch the hydrofoil to Capri.
Technical issue. Hand held shower at bathtub was broken since arrival and was only repaired on last night. Few good restaurants in the vicinity.
Friendly staff and value for money
Location not the best can get noisy but close enough to the port to take a boat to Capri or Amal fi
Location was reasonable, close to Piazza Municipio. Beds were nice and comfy with adequate air conditioning. Good bathroom.
Breakfast was fair at best and the only real area for improvement.
Comfortable room close to the ferries to the islands.
Poor breakfast, spoiled fruit and low quality food was served
Walking distance to the port, comfy beds to get a good nights sleep
the hotel was great Thank you Francesca and colleagues
No bell boy that s not good for a 4 stars hotel
-nice, modern rooms -very clean -OK breakfast -good location
-coffee machine at breakfast doesn't work that well and didn't seem very clean -milk at breakfast was sour
The breakfast should be better
The location was perfectly in the middle of all things to do/see. Reception was really helpfull.
Breakfast was poor plus the staff took a long time preparing and had a bad morning attitude.
Early check in
The first day of our stay aircon didn’t work (in middle of summer), we couldn’t sleep the whole night (I guess this was our bad luck). Small breakfast area with very limited variety and only one person working there. Very slow wifi
The location is very central on walking distance to the main attractions in Naples centre. The rooms are what you expect for a 4 star hotel with all the comforts you may need. The hotel overall doesnt have anything you could complain about.
The new look and feel, minimalistic, boutique vibe
I have enjoyed every thing about the hotel.Comfortable room, very reasonable price, cordial staff. For sure I will come back again.
Shower was fantastic, beds comfortable, breakfast was good with variety though nothing cooked except boiled eggs, staff friendly and knowledgeable. Great location near historic centre. Two lifts and good deal on taxi to and from airport.
When I checked out they asked me if I wanted to pay in pounds or euros. I was rushing for a taxi to the airport and paid in pounds. Big mistake that cost me around £15. Very poor exchange rate I found out later.
Good room, quiet, aircon, clean, great bathroom
Reception staff had a really bad attitude which was really disappointing. They gave us a terrible first impression. We were told that all restaurants in the city were closed bar one which they recommended. This was simply not true!! But they probably led a few people to believe them, they clearly have an affiliation with the restaurant which was called Trattoria Medina (I think). We walked past it later in the day and were accosted by some pretty intrusive waiters, we didn't venture in. It looked like a typical tourist trap to be avoided.
The hotel did not deliver what it promised. There were no satin sheets (!!!!) which they advertise, and while we could certainly live with that, we wondered why they flag this up in their website!?? What we did not want to live with was the fact that the air conditioning was broken and the room was steaming hot and airless (at 35 degrees during the day, what else could you expect?). There was no reduction in price for this. The breakfast was badly organised, the coffee machine did not work, and the milk was sour. The location was not too bad, but this part of town is not very scenic.
Good location Helpful and professional staff Decent breakfast buffet Recently renovated and well kept
A/C was broken in the entire building during our entire stay in August... making the nights extremely incomfortable!
very good location: everything neraby you would like to see in Naples
wifi is useless (everywhere in the hotel) has no own garage (the nearest is about 5 minutes walk, at an NH Hotel)
Everything...The room is comfortable and more spacy then what I got used to in Italy. I ended my visit in Naples and a better Hotel I could not have wished for.
That you are simply stuck at your arrival...you don't have a drop-off area for your luggage. A dedicated parking garage can be contracted by the Hotel else you are left on fend for yourself especially if you find yourself in peak-hour traffic
