love the location the room was large and very comfortable breakfast was great bathroom was very nice
Excellent location and lovely breakfast. The standard room is a little small, so I recommend a deluxe room. It's a historical building and Rome is been constantly renovated, so there was a little noise and the windows couldn't block it. But I recommend and I really like the hotel.
noise at night
The hotel is in fabulous location just minutes away from the Spanish steps. It feels like a boutique hotel in the middle of Rome . Massimo deservedly has a fan club (after reading past reviews ) . All staff were absolutely delightful . Agree , rooms on the lower floors need a bit of a refurb . But all in all , we would most definitely stay at Hotel D'Inghilterra again when we are next in Rome .
Room facilities are very bad , cleaning poor , concierge is standard
Service was excellent and staff courteous and helpful.
It needs to be renovated, the rooms are old, bathroom tiling look dirty due to age and spaces are small.
location , room size as I was upgraded to higher class room, the history of the building .
Friendly and helpful staff who appear generally concerned for your happiness welcome you into this charming 16th Century Hotel located near the base of the Spanish Steps in the heart of Old Rome. Beautiful boutique rooms do not suffer any loss of luxury from the restraints of such an old building. The breakfast is one of the best I've come across in my travels in a relaxed restaurant that spills out onto the street, and serves as a cool retreat in the hot Summer's afternoon after a busy day sightseeing and shopping. Very hard to fault!
Can't really think of a fault!
Charming hotel in a great location. Good breakfast and beautiful rooms, in a romantic old-fashion atmosphere.
It was simply impossible to sleep after 8am due to some building renovation just in front of my window. The hotel staff could have informed the guests. Wi-fi is not free as mentioned in Booking.com. When doing the check-out and paying the bill, many extra expenses were charged, including a lunch that was not mine. The staff should be more careful.
The hotel was five star and lovely with it. We were upgraded free of charge to a balcony room on our arrival. The staff were excellent and all spoke excellent English, which didn't help as I was trying to brush up my Italian!!! It is only a two-minute walk from the Spanish Steps so you are very much in the heart of the city. The hotel was built in the mid-sixteenth century so has bags of atmosphere. The buffet breakfast was excellent. I would definitely stay there again.
What's there not to like?
The location and the nice lobby
The concierge is not friendly at all, the rooms need renovation.
I can honestly say that the Hotel Inghliterra is still a true gem. From Massimo the best Concirge in Rome to the lovely staff. The Bond Bar is a classic and the Breakfast is great. Also dinner if you decide to stay in. Location is the best in Rome.
You must request the 4th floor rooms the other floors are old and a bit shabby and AC is not the best there. Make a note to ask for the 4th floor my room was a gem and the bathroom and closets excellent.
room design below expectaion
I loved that it was central. Very helpful. In particular a man called Massimo who works on the front desk. He was beyond helpful.
The fact that for a 5 star hotel wifi was not free!!
The hotel is centrally situated, comfortable and clean
I was there during from the 6th to the 9th July during the staff strike. Unfortunately I paid for breakfasts for the two rooms I ordered and was given a discount for only one room! This is quite unfair and I will be making a formal complaint since I paid for bed and breakfast and we were only provided with some coffee and bread during the last day. Further, the hotel did not provide for any contingency and it should have been the hotel's policy as a gesture of goodwill to its clients to reduce the price of the stay for the inconvenience of the strike. I can readily understand that it was not the hotel's fault but the customer should not be made to pay. I had to argue to get some reduction for one room only and was very disappointed with such a service to say the least.
The Service was several times more than poor. A Danish Lady complained in the Restaurant, the waiter laughed at her instead of attending her Problem and solving it. When there were several power drop Outs (abt. 4 times 1 Minute) there were no Exit lights in the 4th and 3rd floor, maybe in 2nd and 1st, too. Wifi did not work after power loss.
Concierge Massismo went above and beyond to help us during our stay!
The photos also appear on the hotel booking inanmayın.resim has nothing to do with the actual hotel yok.hayal koyulmuş.otel logging in to the photos when you leave your room you will experience shock.
I like the location
Room is small, a bit too expensive for the value of money, cleaning service did not always replace glass
Hotel ambiance, location, service, staff professionalism, breakfast
Free Wifi limited to 4 hours a day. Poor TV reception quality & channels offer. Room decoration
location is ok
the rooms at the 5th floor is terrible, air condition is useless, there are mosquitos in the rooms,
Beautiful public areas and room. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Room and bathroom were very spacious. We would stay here again.
Location near Spanish Steps, helpful staff, large room with a terrace, coo;public rooms to sit in
Plumbing is getting old and bathrooms will soon have to be updated
Staff seemed stressed and not the most outgoing
