Beautiful rustic farmhouse in the countryside, just 900 meters from the walls of Assisi, with a separate entrance. Large private garden with gazebo with a panoramic view of the valley of Assisi. The rustic farmhouse has 2 apartments restructured maintaining the typical characteristics of the houses, walls, ceilings, decorative elements that bring the original atmosphere of the rustic farmhouse in typical Umbria stile. The apartment "Bacchetta", ideal solution for a couple, consists of glazed entrance, kitchen, bright double room with garden views and a spacious bath area with a bathtub in a romantic style, shower and toilet. Services: tv, free wi-fi, free parking on site. The "Gazebo" apartment is the perfect solution for 4 people because it allows for each their privacy being a spacious apartment. Beautifully decorated, with exposed walls, has a bright entrance hall, 2 large bedrooms with private bathrooms, one with a "double" shower, kitchen, dining room and a beautiful gazebo with tables and chairs for wonderful breakfasts or dinners under the stars. Services: washing machine, TV, free wi-fi, free parking on site.
SURROUNDING Basilica of St. Francis 1230 retains and holds the mortal remains of the saint, the first preserved in the Basilica of Santa Chiara. Francis himself pointed to the bottom of the hill town, once called Collis hells, as a place where he wanted to be buried. That hill was renamed Collis havens and on it was built the basilica formed by two churches and the crypt where the remains of St. Francis are kept. Amongst them, the decorations with frescoes by Cimabue and Giotto. Basilica of Santa Chiara It began in 1257 with the construction of the church and the adjoining convent of the Poor Clares, who since 1212 had been living at San Damiano. Built next to the church of St. George, where he was buried provisionally Francis and where he was buried the Holy 12 August 1253. Here as well the remains of Santa Chiara is also the crucifix of San Damiano which was moved by the Clare in 1257. San Damiano is the ideal starting point to better understand St. Francis 'life, is in fact the site of the conversion of Francis, in which the Holy listened to the voice of the Crucified: "Va', and repair my house". He restored the church and we adapted the Protomonastery Santa Chiara.
From the house you can make beautiful walks in the neighborhood, to the historic center of Assisi through a panoramic and flat course. Only 100 meters from the house there is the bus that arrives in a few minutes in the historic center of Assisi. Bars, restaurants and market at 200 mt.
