Middle of town and close to it all.
Noise from bar downstairs and neighbours
The room was incredible
Near the old city center. Really really good location. A lot of beautiful places around.
Noisy street. Bars on the square are loud till late night and from early morning. Bad sound isolation between floors, but I think it's common for places in old city.
very nice position & clean room good price
Close to everything in the old part of Firenza. Large room with great character. Value in every way - Thank you
Very central, safe location in busy, but not totally touristy small piazza. It was easy to find places to eat close by that were used by locals & which served authentic food at good prices.
Because the room is in a small piazza there is noise, which is more intrusive in the early morning than late at night, as there are street cleaners, deliveries etc going on every day.
It was close to the action, but a bit too close to the crowds. Two of the rooms we saw were reasonably well appointed.
If you like noise, then stay here. Drunken party at the outdoor restaurant till midnight, then loud music from a party till 3 am. Adjoining walls to rooms are thin, so be prepared to hear your neighbour on the toilet. This was the most expensive place we stayed in and was not good value for money, especially when compared to other properties.
The location of the place is excellent. There is a supermarket across the door. The restaurant besides the front door is very nice and romantic. The style of the room is clean and neat. The palazzo vecchio and duomo is within a few breath away.
The front door is tricky, the staff should explain how to get in and out. BIt she left very quickly, like she didn't want to see us. The room is nice and clean, but the bathroom has no shampoo or soap and no feet towel. This is very clumsy when we finished taking shower. The apartment is located in old city center so we have to walk quite long and it's on the second floor with no lift, it's better to mention this in the hotel de scription, so we would not take a big baggage with us.
right in the heart of it all my partner and i loved the location and the room.
Right in the center of the historic district.
The key for the outside door we were given did not work - luckily another resident let us in. We were asked to pay cash - had not expected this.
Room was big, beautiful and bright. Great location in a small piazza with a supermarket, bar and fantastic resteraunt
Service was terrible. Host wasn't there to let us in when we arrived and their phone was off. When we got through an hour later, she said she would arrive in 5 minutes, which turned into an hour. She was rude and abrupt, and payment was cash only. The front door lock was glitchy and they keys didn't always work, however internal security door and room door was fine. Speaking to others staying there, they had similar experiences with the door and the host. It is also very difficult to find.
We like the location very much and practical facilities in the room.
Loud music from downstairs at the night.
Centrally located. Reasonable price. Reasonable security.
Bad communication: when booking was made, I had asked for the direction from the station. They then sent the link of the map showing how to get there-with wrong bus route number-when I rang the person, he said that he sent the information but I never did... The bathroom tile grouting-black with full of mold-don't know when it was properly cleaned the last time. The bed bugs-a lovely free gift The noise-as it was hot days/night, we had to open the windows-the pub downstairs was really noisy until 2am,,,someone wrote about it in the review but was worse than expected,,,
close to the cathedral.
When we arrived, the room is not clean up yet; the payment is only in cash, card is not acceptabe; And wifi does not work!!
Good location although very noise during the day due to a fruit market on the street under our window and due to bars and restaurants all around during the night
First this not a hotel nor a b&b. It is a simple building (no elevator) in which four rooms were "created" in the second flor. There is no reception or any kind of service in this place. We arrived on the time we were expected and found the building locked. We could no get in and there was no one inside. We had to call and wait half an hour until one person (who did no speak English) came to open the door and show us the room (after we carried our suitcases upstairs) For our surprise we had to pay cash in advance. We asked to pay by credit card not to get short of money but we were told to go to the bank and withdraw it. The room we got had no air conditioning, bed not comfortable (old spring mattress) bathroom would get completely wet after shower, sheets smelling cigarettes and a very old scary wooden selling. Not to mention all the noise night and day. Key didn't work properly and we had to spend around 10 minutes each time we needed to open the buildings door. We showed the problem to the "responsible" person during our check in. She could not open it as well, tried many many times to open ot and did not care about our complaint. There was no cleaning service during our stay. There was no breakfast and there is absolutely no common area where a breakfast could be served. Definitely we do NOT recommend it.
The location was great, it was only a few min walk from the duomo. The owner/manager was nice.
There was some hair on the sheets, that wasn't ours Their was no shampoo or soap. It was right above a restaurant and a small plaza so it was loud at night, even with the windows closed. Also in the morning the delivery trucks would unload to the restaurants below, so it was loud in the early morning too. Was kind of shocked when we had to pay cash, she didn't take credit.
No reception we waited 2 hours for someone to come and attend to us
Great location, clean room, big bathroom..
The location is excellent. Very close to the Dome, the principals squares, good restaurants and shopping. Nice decoration.
We had to wait almost 45 min until someone arrives to open the door. There's no staff permanent in the hours that they say it will be. Our room wasn't completely dirty but the toilette wasn't cleaned before our arrival. It was even hair in the shower.En plus, just one towel each, no shampoo, no gel douche, just one soap. And if we flash it sound and shake like an earthquake! For the same money and similar location in cities like Rome and Monterosso we had much better service. But for far the worst thing is that we could hear everything in the other room as it weren't walls at all, and for our bad luck in the next room it was a hot discussion with even threats to call the police! So it has potential but they should fix the toilets, and do a better isolation between the rooms in order to have some privacy. I won't recommend it at all.
Great location, spacious and comfy bed
Just having a fan for air-con - we were boiling all night. You can hear everyone else showering and going to the toilet and every time you use the water there is a VERY loud rumbling noise.
No air condition Noisy pub downstairs No service
if the metal shower can be fixed and hang on the wall,it would be better:)
Located in old town close to Duomo and Uffuzi. Overlooks little piazza with restaurants and close to leather shops. Decent double glazed windows and shutters. Room was large with comfortable lounge chair and desk.
We had the first room next to the door and found the cleanliness compared to other rooms we had used in other towns to be lacking. There was a bad smell in the main room and believe the bed required deodorising. No bath mat or toiletries supplied and bed not made. Not what I expected from a business in the hotel section. The hooks, toilet roll and towel rack were badly mounted and fell off several times. Please note there are four flights of stone steps to the rooms, so be fit if you have several pieces of luggage. I would really say these are pensionne rooms and not a hotel nor a b&b.
Great location Supermarket just outside the building.
Although we informed the host on the exact time of our arrival and warned that we will not be able to use our phones, none was there to meet us. we had to wait for 20 minutes, after which we had to phone him (which I was not happy about). after that we had to wait for another 20 minutes for the host to show up (although he said he will be there in 3 minutes). it was almost impossible to find anyone from staff when we needed something. Sometimes a female staff member was there but she did not speak any english. we did not mind the noise coming from downstairs' bar and restaurant. But very thin walls, and very loud toilet made it impossible to sleep. Really not good value for money - we went to Rome afterwards and paid much less for a guest house of MUCH better quality and comfort. would not recommend it to anyone else.
