The staff was fantastic. They were very helpful and eager to ensure that any questions we had were answered quickly. If they did not know the answer they would do an Internet search to find it, as in train departure times. Great traditional Italian breakfast with excellent coffee. I would say that the staff of Hotel Dante gave the best customer service of any hotel I've ever stayed in. The hotel building is very old. Some of the room's furnishings could have been upgraded, such as the chest of drawers for clothing. However, any shortcomings in the room was more than overshadowed by the staff's great service and the hotel's location. Hotel Dante is about 40 meters from Santa Croce square, right in the heart of Florence.

The location is perfect, in the city center. Nice breakfast with real good coffe. The room we had was like a small appartment, it was very nice and quiet. We would stay here again.

The owners were terrific and very helpful. The rooms are comfortable although basic - it is Europe so be prepared for the simpler and smaller things such as the shower. Overall, very nice place for the price and location!

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The location was excellent for walking all over Florence (about 15 minute walk to Il Duomo, and a 5 or 10 minute walk to the Uffizi Gallery; 20 to 25 minute walk to Firenze smn train station). The rate was also excellent. The furnishings were plain but the room was large and clean. Our room included a kitchen. I would definitely book there again. In our room there was no air conditioning. Fortunately, the temperature was not too bad considering it was late July. It would be nice if they would install ceiling fans - that would do the trick.

The owners Elton and his wife are soooo sweet and always ready to help with whatever you need. They greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel at home from the moment we stepped in this perfectly located little hotel. It is close to everything. Parking is 20€/day so if you don't need a car after your stay in Florence, return it before because you won't need it in the city.

Hotel Dante is a great location for sight-seeing in the old city of Florence. It is incredibly close to Santa Croce church and just a few minutes walk to the Duomo and Palazzo Vecchio. We chose this hotel based on location and price for our stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They greeted us warmly, gave us a map of the city, and offered to help us with any reservations we needed. They were helpful in arranging dinner reservations and booking a cab for us on our departure. Breakfast was limited in selection but very decent. Air conditioning in room worked great!!! Bathroom and bedroom were clean. We felt that the owners really cared about their establishment and their customers. The hotel is not much to look at (but then, we weren't in Florence to see the inside of our hotel) -- the rooms look like they may have been dorms at one time. Some of the rooms have small kitchen areas and refrigerators which could be very useful for people staying longer term in Florence. The double bed was only two beds sheeted together (totally normal for Italian hotels) but was pretty comfortable. The hotel can be a little tricky to find from the train station. Definitely worth taking a cab to get there in the summer heat!

The hotel is family run and they do all they can to make the guests comfortable and happy. What I liked most was the cleanline4ss of the bedroom and the hotel in general.me and my family had a wonderful week in this hotel. I have nothing to complain about.

We found the Dante to be a convenient place to stay and explore Florence. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and the kitchen was a great bonus. Breakfast was basic but enjoyable served outside or in a pleasant dining room. The hotel has air-conditioning and there was no charge for the WIFI connection. A very good place to stay!

Staff friendly, helpful. Just a few yards from Santa Croce, easy to find and get to. Buffet breakfast pretty good, coffee great. Nice having a kitchen/dining area - main reason we picked this place. Bed quite comfortable. Lots of closets. Tiny elevator was quite fast. Bathroom tiny but well equipped and clean. Air conditioning does not use thermostat, either off or on, overpowered for room, so either too cold or too hot. Kitchen facility missing a few things. Kept blowing fuses! Like most hotels, not really good light for reading in bed.

The position of this hotel made it easy to walk to all of the sites and shop happily with good restaurants very close by. The staff were very helpful and happily spoke English and arranged taxis, helped with flight arrangements etc. They were the best part really! This is a budget hotel and the rooms reflected this in that there are no frills - that was fine, but the noise in the streets outside went on and on all night. It is perhaps a fun area for night life? But this was not good for us as we had an early international flight the next day!

Good staff - they did everything that we need (some of us were ill). Thank them very much :) Our appartment consist of 2 rooms and a small kitchen. That was very comfortable for 3 adults with a child. Good breakfast especially croissants and coffe. Most of seesites are near the hotel - max 15 min!!! Our first day we had to live in another room - it was mistake of the staff: Julia promised us many things in her lellers , but had done nothing. That was a very small room, not prepared for 3 adults and child, with very small shower. But the administrator made everything for our comfort and changed our room at the next day.

The location was fabulous for the Uffitzi, Dumo, Santa Croce! The staff was very helpful. The hotel is a little rough around the edges. It really needs a face lift. However, the bed linen and bathrooms were clean. The rooms were quiet so it is a trade off. You paid for the location, not the accomodations.

location, veru central It's a shabby structure that needs to be renovated. Even a small intervention would make guests feel more at easy: a coat of fresh paint on the dirty walls, new carpeting (currently stained and moldy) and - please! - a clean bed spread instead of the stained one that was on room 102. Nobody would want to sleep in a dirty bed!
