Hotel Dante  

Helpfull staff, great location.

Adequate reasonably priced clean hotel well located for travellers looking to primarily see florence and have a good base to stay. If your looking for upscale this isnt it. If you need clean comfortable with a decent breakfast to start out this place is a winner for the money. Elton and Rossana are wonderful as hosts and advisers to the new visitor to florence. Literally feet from Santa Croce church and piazza which is a major attraction.

Older building on a noisy sidestreet. Bring earplugs to cut down on noise if you keep windows open. Tight bathroom. Some people may have a hard time manuevering in it.

Recommended by friends and met all our expectations. Perfect location for Florence centre with all its art, architecture and restaurants. Immaculately clean, and with great ambiance and friendly and efficient staff. Delicious breakfast included in the price, and even a small terrace for smokers. No fancy over-the -top decor, whitewashed walls and white linen curtains, I could go on! Good value all round.

The staff was fantastic. They were very helpful and eager to ensure that any questions we had were answered quickly. If they did not know the answer they would do an Internet search to find it, as in train departure times. Great traditional Italian breakfast with excellent coffee. I would say that the staff of Hotel Dante gave the best customer service of any hotel I've ever stayed in.

The hotel building is very old. Some of the room's furnishings could have been upgraded, such as the chest of drawers for clothing. However, any shortcomings in the room was more than overshadowed by the staff's great service and the hotel's location. Hotel Dante is about 40 meters from Santa Croce square, right in the heart of Florence.

Problems with water shortages.

The owners were terrific and very helpful. The rooms are comfortable although basic - it is Europe so be prepared for the simpler and smaller things such as the shower. Overall, very nice place for the price and location!

Location is great (near all tourist attractions). The room was very good for the price. Breakfast is good enough. Staff was very helpful. I fully recommend this hotel.

The hotel is family run and they do all they can to make the guests comfortable and happy. What I liked most was the cleanline4ss of the bedroom and the hotel in general.me and my family had a wonderful week in this hotel.

I have nothing to complain about.

We found the Dante to be a convenient place to stay and explore Florence. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and the kitchen was a great bonus. Breakfast was basic but enjoyable served outside or in a pleasant dining room. The hotel has air-conditioning and there was no charge for the WIFI connection. A very good place to stay!

The position of this hotel made it easy to walk to all of the sites and shop happily with good restaurants very close by. The staff were very helpful and happily spoke English and arranged taxis, helped with flight arrangements etc. They were the best part really!

This is a budget hotel and the rooms reflected this in that there are no frills - that was fine, but the noise in the streets outside went on and on all night. It is perhaps a fun area for night life? But this was not good for us as we had an early international flight the next day!

The location was fabulous for the Uffitzi, Dumo, Santa Croce! The staff was very helpful.

The hotel is a little rough around the edges. It really needs a face lift. However, the bed linen and bathrooms were clean. The rooms were quiet so it is a trade off. You paid for the location, not the accomodations.

Emplacement idéal pour se rendre à pied dans le centre-ville de Florence : les plus beaux monuments dont le Palazzio Vecchio et le Ponte Vecchio sont à 10 minutes à pied de l'hôtel. Accueil très sympathique à l'hôtel où le patron s'est occupé de nos bagages et du garage pour la voiture. Chambres spacieuses et propres, petit déjeuner excellent !

Un seul bémol : prix un peu cher du garage pour la voiture : 25€ pour une nuit.
