Hotel David

Unbeatable amenities in a beautiful hotel! Immaculately clean. We had a large balcony off our room. The owner and staff spoke excellent English and helped us with everything we needed from early check-in, to holding our bags on the day of checkout, bus passes, museum reservations, restaurants--they could not have been more helpful or pleasant. We chose Hotel David based on the reviews on tripadvisor.com and actually we felt it was better than described!

We wished it was just a bit closer to the center of Florence. After a long day of sightseeing and shopping, it was quite a long walk home. However, the staff and amenities at Hotel David more than made up for the walk! (We tried to grab the bus home, but it passed us by at the bus stop!) One free mini bar during your stay, free appetizers nightly, and a free 10min. phone call home nightly! The staff were the nicest we met in a week in Rome and Florence. Our only real complaint was not being able to stay longer at Hotel David!

There is free mini bar in the room (cola, water and beer) and some snacks. Not a lot, but very much appreciated after the long day of visiting the city. There is also free wine (I'm not the expert at wines, but the taste was really good) from 18:30 - 20:00 and some nuts, chips etc. This was really kind of the owners.

The hotel is very clean and the owners do their best to make you feel home. For now everything is perfect. Hovever the hotel is not new, and will need some renovations here and there soon.

The great value afforde by the happy hour each night and free minibar and the friendly helpful staff who gave good advice on buses and great tips for local restaurants which they were happy to ring and book. Overall I would strongly recommend it.

No - some might prefer to be more centrally located in the middle of Florence but we enjoyed the atmosphere in Oltrarno and found it easy to walk or catch a bus to the centre sights.

everything; it was nice to have the breafast room and the evening cocktail party. I already miss my morning Italian coffee in a tall glass with an Italian croissant! Oh, and the laundry was handy, too!

It was a very pleasant hotel with very friendly, helpful staff and situated out of all the hustle and bustle of Florence. Would definitely stay there again.

Everything - they are the best!

This was our favourite hotel during a 7 week holiday across Europe. Staff were exceptionally helpful. Our room, with balcony, was very nice. It was refreshing not to have to pay for various services such as minibar, wi-fi, parking, etc.

Room extremely comfortable, with spacious well-appointed bathroom and spotlessly clean. Snacks and drinks in the mini-bar included in the price, as were the drinks and snacks served during the daily "Happy hour" from 6.30 - 8pm and the excellent buffet breakfast. Staff friendly, efficient and helpful whilst not intrusive.

The staff was great and it was extremely convenient to all of the main sights of Florence. Easy to drive into with a car and also had parking so that you did not have to drive your car once you arrived. Highly recommend this hotel for service, friendliness, beautiful garden, evening cocktail hour and free international phone calls. The breakfasts were great.

Wonderful friendly staff who couldn't do enough for you. Superb garden where "happy hour" took place from 6-8pm each evening with a selection of tapa's. A wonderful oasis to escape from the noise of the city...however a pleasant walk along the river bank provided all the wonderful city of Florence has to offer.
