friendly staff. they found a guitar so my husband could play for everyone during happy hour. the idea of happy hour 9and a half) is brilliant. fantastic breakfasts.

Having read so many positive reviews about Hotel David we knew it would be good but it far exceeded our expectations... We hope to return in the future and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great location for visiting the over populated tourist areas of Florence and then retreating to nice urban neighborhood with its own charm. Staff was very, very helpful and the room was very comfortable. I would stay here again if I return to Florence.

Cannot praise the staff highly enough. A genuinely warm welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. I liked the bar facility when you helped yourself to whatever you wanted and simply signed for it. Good prices too. Well situated on all the bus routes and the walk along by the river would have been a delight had the weather not been so unfavourable! But even then the hotel provided umbrellas for you. I would certainly recommend this hotel for anyone who wants a city break in Florence.

Loved everything about the Hotel.Location good quiet area away from busy centre about 20 min pleasant walk.Staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast excellent .Happy hour on terrace great all free. Rooms beds bathroom spotless and very good.Great that guests could make tea coffee or drinks anytime small charge. Free snacks and drinks in minibar in room.East to get to Hotel from Pisa airport take bus to Florence train station about one and half hour journey buy return bus ticket at Airport. Then bus from station or taxi or 30 min walk Taxi about 10 euros one wayFlorence wonderful and Hotel David makes it even better

My family and I booked two rooms for one night at the end of August and spent the evening and the next day enjoying Florence. We chose the hotel mainly because of the free parking offered and on the strength of favourable reviews, with which I heartily agree. The hotel is comfortable and clean and the staff are very friendly, relaxed and helpful. We enjoyed the 20 min walk to the Ponte Vecchio along the river, although we could have taken the bus if we'd wanted to. The complimentary drinks in the garden made a pleasant start to our evening. I would definitely stay at the David again, particularly if I was arriving by car.

We loved our stay here, the little extra touches the hotel provides free of charge are wonderful, we loved happy hour, we chatted to lots of other guests and really relaxed, our children were either online or playing chess, we had to practically drag them out of the hotel to sightsee!!! In my opinion this is the jewel of Florence. Wonderful stay, thank you.

I cannot say enough good things about our wonderful experience at Hotel David. The setting is a lovely respite just a bit outside of the hustle and bustle of the city. The staff could not have been warmer or more helpful. The hotel rooms are just lovely. The hotel makes the effort to truly provide a home away from home with all of its special extras, such as a free phone call to home, wonderful wine and food in the evening on the patio, as well as no-cost snacks and beverages within the room. I was sorry that our stay was brief, but it was most memorable. I highly recommend this hotel for all and will suggest to my friends and family with confidence for their future trips to Florence. Exellent hotel , terrific staff

We would like to compliment the hotel for the most fanastic reception and service they delivered throughout our stay. We were made to feel welcome and cared for at all times. Everybody from management to housekeeping staff smiled; and I did not see one frown or sullen look from anybody, despite what must be an extremely taxing job, to stay bright for so long. They could not have been more obliging to us. We cannot fault them in any way in and will not hesitate to recommend they to our freinds and relatives. From arrival, the manager greeted us by name, which was impressive. We booked in and were shown to our accommodation that was prepared to an immaculate standard. This standard was maintained throughout out stay, and we barely knew the housekeepers were there. Certainly not in sight after mid-day. Very very, impressive. The whole team were so polite and helpful. For example, after going on the round town bus tour, we arrived back at 7.00pm one night. I'd noticed in a guide book about the Ruins of Fiesole, a telephone no. for a beautiful public gardenat Villa Gamberaia which had recently been featured on the television in England. The lady in reception just rang them up, obtianed openning times for Sunday( my last day day), and also established the buses I should take to get their. This visit was a complete success and enriched my holiday totally. I think the best distant view of Florence you could ever have in total serenity. This was an unforgettable day for me that was entirely enabled by the Hotel David receptionist Should we wish to stay in Florence again, we will use Hotel David without any hesitation, and you should feel lucky that you have them, as they were a credit to you and themselves. We are not aware of any complaints either by fellow guests who we would meet in the early evening, or at breakfast. I worked at Claridges Hotel for 12months recently, and Hotel David matches their standard of service in every single way.

No complaints whatsoever, I wish I was still there.

We liked everything about the Hotel David...from the continental breakfast, cleanliness of the rooms, the knowledge of the staff to the lovely happy hour and location. We didn't mind the distance from the center of Florence...it was an easy and enjoyable walk or a simple bus ride. So many things that other hotels charge for are included in the rate at the Hotel David, making it one of the best buys of our entire trip!
