We arrived to be allocated a ground floor room, with no opening windows and extremely hot with the heaters on full. Apart from a suite, which the receptionist offered for 200 Euros EXTRA (!), there was only one other room free. This was also too hot, but the staff member's attitude was simply take it or leave it. In neither room did the advertised air conditioning work, and the basic heating simply would not turn off. And this room didn't have a bracket for the shower over the bath. We had a great stay here last year in room 13, but if this year had been our only experience, we would not return.
The location is great, at the top of the steps to Ibla and yet only a couple of blocks from the centre of the city. The rooms are spacious and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast is excellent and the breakfast staff very attentive.

Arriving to a four star hotel, you expect to have a porter greet you and there was none and the hotel has many stairs. Bathroom was very small, not a good use of space.
The staff was friendly, the room was large and quite. The decor was lovely.

Wi-Fi connection was poor in places often losing connnection.
Staff very friendly, quality of the room very good.

Very dark suite and hotel.Balcony not private and no view.Breakfast just about 'OK' in a very bland room with no windows.Quite a noisy hotel as voices echo around hotel. No privacy in bath but worse still anyone on toilet is also in full view!Bathrobe and slippers not left.Arrived to no hot water and waited till end of the following day before we could shower.Unfortunate, but these unforeseen things happen.I expected an automatic adjustment to our bill,as we had to go two days without being able to shower.Sadly I had to argue and haggle to get a reduction. Not what I would expect from a hotel of this stature and class. It would have been helpful if we had been informed by staff of use of wellness centre and use of swimming pool on arrival.
Stunning beautiful interior.Friendly helpful staff.Location excellent.High quality of fittings, furnishing and bedding.

Situated in the middle of a slum .every road is uphill and to find a decent restaurant the ibla is the only place Not worth anywhere like the money asked You will not return

Wi fi a bit slow
Great location in an amazing old palace all refurbished

Weak air conditioning, mildew odor in ground floor rooms, doors installed badly; loud and hard to open and close. Floors and radiator and other areas dusty. Small room safe not bolted down; easy to carry away!!
Friendly and well trained staff. Spaces and decor are luxurious. Use of outdoor pool at nearby sister hotel. Breakfast good.

The staff on our arrival were poor. Finding the hotel, particularly at night is very challenging and all staff should be able to talk guests through this. The female staff on the other hand were excellent throughout our stay. The location in the new town means lots of walking to Ragusa Ibla, the old town. The spa while lovely, cost extra which wasn't clear before we used it.
The rooms in the hotel have been beautifully designed and the contemporary feel in an ancient building is hard to pull off. The spa is wonderful, particularly when you have it to yourself as a couple. Breakfast was simple, fresh and delicious.

Needs a little more feeling of life. Reception needs to be more in front of desk, not hiding behind!
Breakfast, convenience to all that matters in Raguso, particularly restaurants

Sited in a bit of a "low rent" neighbourhood. Slightly off putting on first arrival but actually ok. Not enough breakfast seating for the number of guests. Our friends had to change rooms twice on arrival due to things not being right. Very well handled by reception staff but the initial room offerings were not adequate.
Large rooms and bathrooms if you get the right one. Nice contemporary design within an old Pallazio. Excellent helpful staff. Good breakfast buffet

Beautiful spacious room. Directed to a lovely restaurant for dinner as we arrived late. Staff we're most helpful and friendly.

Everything. Stefano palce is a small design hotel in a refurbished old palace. Has very nice rooms with large beds. The hotel is run only by women, who really do a fantastic job and are extremely helpful.

I can honestly say I can't think of one single thing
We enjoyed everything about the hotel Especially the staff. The hotel was exactly as described with all the features that we're listed. It was even more beautiful and charming in person. The staff was very amazing personable and super efficient, for every question or request. The whole staff is an asset to your hotel. Especially Cristina and Daniella. Every detail was in place. Would recommend to everyone and will definitely be returning. Thank you so much for a memorable stay. Our family has created great memories.

As in many Italian hotels, one should be aware that there are some stairs to climb upon entering and a few to go down to reach the reception. It would be difficult to walk to/from the bus or train station, especially with luggage. Taxi from the train station was 5 euros and the bus 7.
Lovely boutique hotel in a location convenient for walking to Ragusa Ibla as well as to the popular areas of Ragusa(upper). The rooms are spacious, well-appointed and quiet. The staff attentive-particularly the young woman managing the buffet breakfast. She made delicious baked goods to complement the other selections- fruit, yogurt, meats, cheeses. There is a private spa one can book for an hour with an indoor pool and steam room, for a fee, and it was magical!

It was stressful finding a parking space on first day after a long drive through mountains - but once we arrived the staff were willing to move their own cars to give us space. Other than the car problem there was nothing we didn't like.
Lovely convenient location for seeing both Ragusa Ibla and Superiore. Very friendly, welcoming staff for which nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast pastries were delicious. Map with suggested places to eat was given to us immediately on arrival.
June 24, 2014
I didn't like the bathroom in the suite as there was only one for 2 bedrooms and there was no curtain but just glass around the bath, therefore everyone could see you having a bath. There was no long mirror.
Staff was very helpful and hotel is very clean. Breakfast was amazing and everything was so elegant.

Absolutely fabulous room (Room 2) Great staff especially the receptionist who moved her car so that I could park outside the hotel. Very helpful regarding visiting the old city Great breakfast

The long climb up the stairs from Ragusa Ibla. On the plus side it was excellent excercise.
The location was good for both the old and new towns. Your staff were very helpful and professional and their restaurant recommendations excellent.

I can't say there was anything I didn't like except maybe that there were no bedroom slippers - but to be honest, I didn't ask for them since I always keep my own anyway, and although we were quite lucky with parking bang on in-front of the door......parking close by may be a bit of a problem
As cliche as it may sound - I liked everything about this hotel - from it's lovely, warm and helpful staff, to the beautiful, large rooms with amazing cathedral ceilings, gorgeous bathrooms with luxury toiletries and scrumptious breakfast. There's also a fantastic 'Illi Caffe' bar - for people who like me need their serious dose of good coffee to start functioning in the morning!

There was nothing we did not like, but we would have liked some more wholesome alternatives for breakfast - such as museli to complement the wide choice of cake and pastries.
Perfect location in a quiet side street but just a few blocks from a good selection of cafes and restaurants in a real town. Beautifully converted building with lots of character and spacious bedrooms. Range of pastries and fruit juices for breakfast. Complimentary minibar. Friendly, helpful front desk and other staff.
