The staff is extremely nice, smiling and helpful. The rooms are big and nice bathrooms. The breakfest room is stunning. You are a tiny big stuck in the historical part of Naples and need to take taxis as soon as you want to leave that erea.

the staff were very friendly and helpful I will never go back to Naples again... dirty, graffitti, dangerous. The hotel is in an ugly area and very run down. Air conditioning didnt work well and the hotel needs major updates. Not sure why this hotel got some great reviews, but, thank goodness, we only stayed in Naples one night. We love all of Italy, but will never return to Naples...if I could give a suggestion to anyone planning a trip to that area...stay in Praiano or Positano, its soooo beautiful and friendly

The staff at this hotel were superb! The best, 24-7, period. We found the hotel to be historically charming, the room was extremely clean and very lovely, if small. The bed was very firm, which could be a plus or a minus, depending on your preference. Our room was very quiet. The location was very interesting; rather hidden away with good access to shopping and located near a music university, which provided some cultural interest to the immediate area. Breakfast was sufficient, but not exceptional. Although there was a barrista to make espresso! The shower drain was clogged and the basin shallow so it overflowed; it took two attempts to get it adequately addressed, but then it was fine.

This is a fantastic hotel, a real hidden gem located in the heart of Naples city Centre. The rooms are spectacular, the building itself is gorgeous. You really feel you are staying in a palace of medieval Europe. But the best of the hotel is definitely the staff. Every person I interacted was helpful, genuinely nice, caring. I highly recommend this hotel.

We liked and appreciated very much friendliness and assistance of staff. We lived in a triple room (2 levels), it was very quiet and comfortable. The dining room is unforgettable. Thanks a lot, we will definitely come back. Maybe, a little renovation would be good for the unforgettable dining room, especially for the seiling. But it does not spoil the whole impression.

Staff courtesy. Could walk to marathon start/finish and to Archaeology Museum, and to shopping and dining. Breakfasts were ok. No shower curtain nor drain where water splashed onto bathroom floor. No coffee-maker in room. Street noise and noise from kitchen (directly across from room door).

The Decumani was a great place to stay - very well-located to plenty of evening places to go for students our a young-ish crowd as it's right near the university. I was with a group of eleven 20-27 year old students and we all thought it was a lovely hotel. Breakfast is good. Rooms are lovely, clean and in very good condition. Good staff. Some of the rooms in our group had sporadic heating problems, but this seems like a common issue in Italy as heating controls are at the front desk. They made every accommodation to swap rooms if the heating wasn't resolved though.

Staffs were very friendly. It is easy to go to the historical centre of Naples from the hotel. My room was very calm, although it faced the street. The breakfast-room was beautiful. Nothing especial.

Wonderful staff very helpful. Room very good and beds comfortable. The location seems a bit off putting at first but as son as one arrives into the hotel itself which is on the second floor of an old Archbishops' Palace everything is lovely

The hotel is beautiful, if there weren't so much to see in Naples, I could have remained all day in the breakfast room making believed that I was a royal! The staff is very helpful, and the restaurant they recommended was one of our favorite meals on our vacation. The location is central and the price was great. The breakfast was unbelievably generous. Except for the horrible traffic, my husband and I really loved Naples. It is a real Italian city, not filled with tourists. We never felt afraid or got ripped off (we are used to big cities). If fact people seemed to always give us back money if we paid too much. For example the taxi driver first took us to another hotel with a very similar sounding name (it seems to be a common mistake) and when we pointed this out to our taxi driver, he insisted on charging us very little money because he took us longer on our trip. Our favorite hotel in Italy! The staff was very approachable and very friendly. To me, that is what set them apart. We felt very welcome.

We feel very well at Decumani. Is it because of its excellent localization? Because it’s confortable? Beautiful saloon? I think the X-factor is the sympathy of all employees. They have good information about Naples, and seem really to like their work. I’ll be back soon.
