This hotel is in the center of the city, a 5-minute walk from Naples Cathedral. In an elegant building from the early 20th century it offers contemporary rooms with satellite TV.

Are you arriving by train in Naples? Don’t waste time on your vacation looking for your hotel; San Pietro is just 330 yards from Piazza Garibaldi and the main station.

The Royal Continental is right on Naples' seafront promenade, in a quiet neighborhood. It features a stunning rooftop pool, with panoramic views out over the Bay of Naples and Castel dell'Ovo.
Score from 1911 reviews Very good
In the heart of historic Naples, less than half a mile from Piazza del Plebiscito, the Napolart has rooms with a balcony overlooking the city. Free Wi-Fi access is available in all areas.

The staff were particularly helpful and recommended some great restaurants. Nothing was too much trouble.
We were in a room that had no door on the shower so water went everywhere. Ask for a room that has the shower enclosed.
We were made to feel so welcome by the amazing staff - nothing was too much trouble. We had booked a triple room but the room we had for the first night was quite small so we asked if they had a bigger room and they upgraded us to a fabulous two-level suite at no extra cost (and even gave us a discount for the first night!). Amazing service! Highly recommend to anyone visiting Naples. Great central location too.
The location is superb, the staff are really helpful, the hotel is beautiful
We liked everything, friendly welcome, quiet room, highly recommended. Outside it seems shabby, once inside it is wonderful
Very hard to find withouT GPS, also be advised that the surrounding streets are all cobbled so wheeled cases have to be steered carefully.
Firstly, the staff of Elena, Francesca, Carlo and others were as helpful at they could be in arranging transport, offering suggestions as to restaurants (the Pulcinella up the street is extraordinary), and generally making our stay extremely pleasant. Breakfast is the ballroom is treat. The hotel is quiet, the bed firm and the acid test is I would stay there again on a trip to Naples.
The rooms can be small, though that didn't detract from the enjoyment of the stay. The showers, on the other hand, were really too small for comfort. We did book single rooms and I know there are larger ones in the hotel, if one asks.
Helpful staff, good value, perfect locaiton for sightseeing
Breakfast was not always well organised
Good atomosphere, the staff were very helpful advising on places to eat and arranging transport.Fabulous building ,secure and quiet,a good base for walking around the city.Breakfasts very good. The beds were very comfortable.
A shame that the morning coffee was out of a flask. There was an expresso machine but the staff were thin on the ground to operate it.
The hotel staff is very helpful and friendly and made us feel comfortable. You have to be a person interest in the decadence and history to appreciate this location, since it's in centro storico, very cultural, but that can appear shady at night, especially if not used to that kind of areas.
Everything was really perfect!! Very warm welcome, great service, quick and simple check-in, Comfortable & clean rooms, historic bulding switched in a smart way to a sophisticated & stylish hotel, breakfast good (for Italy standard), the breakfast room is amazing!! It feels like you are having your breakfast in a museum!! The rooms are tastfully equipped but still with its old charme..Bathrooms are new, tastefully renovated. Location is great: with nice, stylish bars and restaurants closeby, the neighbourhood has a young, a bit alternative touch (university is just next street). We felt safe at any time in this area. Don't be negatively influenced by the dark & narrow streets or the oldish inner courtyard I would recommend this hotel to my friends and I would come back any time again.
Nothing! Just a pity that the hotel doesn't have own parking lots in the courtyard. But close by there is a parking garage (prices are discounted when you stay in Decumani)
The staff we very helpful and welcoming. The room was large and quite considering this is Naples
The bath had mould around the edge
We returned to this hotel because we loved it so much on our first visit. The staff are very warm and helpful, and one doesn't get to stay in a Cardinal's Palace often. The room where we take our very good breakfast is certainly palatial and the bedrooms are quite beautiful. This is the old part , the historic part of Naples, with its bustling streets and narrow passages. The hotel is tucked away in a courtyard so is very quiet.
I think that the time before our room was larger. There was only one chair for two people. The hangers could have been more varied so one could hang a skirt or pair of trousers. The other problem one finds in most modern hotels and that is lights , like those of a television , (which can be covered ) but sometimes they are too high to try to cover , I suppose they are for room temperature etc but it means that one is never in a really dark room although the curtains block out light very well. Some people like myself are very sensitive to these lights which effect melatonin production and therefore disturb sleep.
Location is good, but the street at night is dark, so difficult to find the hotel.
I was dissapointed to enter the room, as the wall was dirty, the foloor board was partially peeled away, bathroom was too narrow, facilities were not useful. When I used toilet, water spread the floor. Breakfast was so simple. Stuff on the 2nd day was too rude.
Terrific position in centro storico, surrounding streets full of life, graffiti and peeling paint. Hotel staff very helpful, and altogether clean and comfortable, with character, and eating breakfast in the vast, stucco-mirrored room a treat. Would highly recommend it and would love to go back.
Nothing to not like!
Hotel was hidden but in a fantastic location, near to restaurants and the night time Natale markets. Comfortable rooms, secure and clean. The breakfast room is beautiful!
Breakfast was very bland, with not much variety.
The services are marvellous. 24 hour desk reception is a must for me.
The food are normal . Location are not so well maintain but its not the hotel fault. The hotel design and cleanliness are wonderful There aren't warmer in a cold winter
We travelled with a child of 20 months and the staff was absolutely outstanding with him. Great hotel, very welcoming, great location. Can't fault it. Highly recommended
Hotel conviently situated in the historic centre. It was the former Arch Bishops Palace. A wonderful little hotel.
nice rooms great staff very good breakfasts in a wonderful breakfast room. did I mention the location?
minor odor issues in room
The staff was more than friendly! So helpful with everything. The property is easy walking distance to almost everything.
The bed was too hard.
My Husband and I visited Naples and stayed in this beautiful hotel. It was a perfect fit for our time in the city. Rooms are spacious and very well maintained. Staff is friendly and very helpful and the building interior is magnificent.
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Decumani Hotel very much; we would definitely recommend it. The hotel is extremely well located; it is within walking distance of Museo Archeologico and other attractions. The front desk staff were very helpful; they offered sightseeing advice and made dinner reservations for us at two excellent restaurants. The rooms are lovely, with 20-foot ceilings. The breakfast breakfast room is gorgeous, with what looks like original decoration preserved. The breakfast buffet was also very good.
The street-level entrance to the hotel is rather forbidding, as the hotel is located on the second floor of a large former palace, and much of the rest of the building is being renovated. Once on the hotel floor, however, all is well. One other complaint is that I would have liked the breakfast servers to remove dirty dishes from the tables more promptly.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is a great surprise for the best. The outside is like a dump but the inside like a palace. The food was very good and for young people the location is perfect because you can get anywhere on foot.
A renovated Sforza palace, the rooms are comfortable with high ceilings and beautiful antique furniture. A really remarkable and unique environment. The staff is great, and if you can see past the graffiti covered walls and garbage strewn streets, the hotels location is actually really great -an easy walk to many tourist areas and shopping.
This hotel is very difficult to get to! Streets in Naples are narrow and in some cases restricted to outside traffic. This hotel is located on one of those streets. We called the hotel and someone came down and escorted us up to the hotel so we could avoid a ticket, this is what I would recommend. Still after dropping off bags you have to park several blocks away.
The position, friendly staff and large rooms - great place to see the underrated Naples - would really recommend to all
Wifi bit iffy
