Everything, all the Staff, the food, the set up. The hotel is impeccable. Staff are highly professional and friendly. Hotel has good books on the region for purchase, not just quick stuff for tourist. Cuisine is top class.
We found the request to settle the room account for the whole duration of our stay (5 nights) beforehand, i.e. upon arrival, rather unusual.
The staff were wonderfully helpful - from Reception staff to the Directors/Owners. This is a small family run hotel and nothing is too much trouble. Located on the outskirts of town, the hotel is nicely decorated and modern. The breakfast is varied and the pastries delicious. We didn't eat there in the evening as the menu is quite limited especially if anyone in your party doesn't eat fish. The pool is quite large and clean considering the sea of crystal clear water is so close. There's a small public beach just 5 minutes walk away and the town centre is just 20 mins walk. Parking is free on the right hand side of the road if you can get a space but rather expensive on the left hand side and you have to pay from 9.00 in the morning until 2.00 in the morning. The hotel's private car park is rather small and was always full. Luckily there is a very handy free car park just behind the hotel where we almost always found a space. If returning to Otranto I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!
We had two rooms and one of the showers was rather small - an oblong shape rather than square. A larger person would have difficulty but thankfully we don't fall into that category! The traffic wardens are everywhere in Otranto so beware. I even saw them several times in our quiet road. I got a 40 euro parking fine in Gallipoli - but if you pay quickly (at the post office) the Guardia di Finanza give you a 30% reduction on the fine! A lot of people in the post office were actually paying parking fines - and not just tourists - so beware! I would thoroughly recommend a GPS when driving in southern Italy if you don't know the area as the road signage is absolutely atrocious!! and don't rely on Google maps either!
The location is good and there is a very big pool. Very good breakfast and some elements of the staff are very kind like Irene, who is always smiling and helped us with the charger and the man who usually run the reception in the night time.
Some other elements of the staff are unprofessional. We booked for two weeks, during the first one my husband and I were travelling alone and we were given a room, apparently a deluxe one (even if it was quite small). We had already warned the direction we would leave the hotel for a day to pick up our son who was with his grandparents. All of sudden when we were about to give the key of the room to go to the beach the reception asked us "In your email you required to add a cot for next week, but the room is too small, what can we do?" What would you answer to this question? they put us in a room with no space for a cot...it is supposed to be my problem? At the end they "asked" us if it was ok for us to move in another bigger room, we said yes (the week after it was clear that this was supposed to append anyway, with our bless or not, the deluxe room would be given to another couple). So we decided to go pick up our son and spend the night at ours to then travel back again the day after. The problem was that 10 minutes after leaving the room I received an email with the confirmation of the payment up front for both the weeks. What would you think? We had left all our stuff in the room and they had our passports' copy. The day after, when we actually came back we asked for explanations, the manager said that during the hight season there is a rule which imposes clients to pay up front, and when she realized that we hadn't paid they just decided to take everything with no explanation. She said someone run after us, to warn us but we had already left and they trying to call us (which is true) but my phone was down.
- helpful staff - good location - not bad breakfast - 15 min on foot till the Otranto city centre

From the moment we arrived till we left the staff were brilliant , very helpful in every way. We would have no hesitation in going back anytime very enjoyable stay
Liked the owners and staff very helpful and accommodating. Liked the pool and the hotels location very close to beach.
Client-oriented and friendly team Great location to some beaches - about 300 metres Close to center of Otranto
The hotel is great & it´s very near to a "free" beach. Only "inconvenient" is that it´s 15min. by foot from the City Center; but Otranto is really very small, so that the distance is not the relevant. The staff is incredible friendly.
The hotel has an excelent location with see view from the room, and the beach is reachable in a few minutes. 10 minutes walk to the city of Otranto as is a very nice village with a reasonable, not to big size. In the village are restaurants located some with excelent sea view, however it is not necessary to leave the hotel, as the hotel restaurant serves excelent food, and excelent wine to a reasonable price .Breakfast very good, as is not always the case in Italy. Also the staff is very nice, and you feel welcome. If you are from Scandinavia, note that there is a nice Norvegian lady employed in the hotel, and working in the restaurant.
Nothing to add
Staff were unfailingly charming and helpful, especially Angela at Reception and Anne in the Restaurant. Kettle in rooms with unlimited supply of coffee and tea. Proximity to Castellana beach as well as access to scenic coastal walk with an abundance of gorgeous springtime wild flowers (end of April/early May) and beautiful coves and bays for bathing. Enjoyable coastal walk from the hotel to the centro storico with beautiful views of the port, the town and even Albania; allow at least 15 minutes.
Lack of shampoo and conditioner and body lotion even in junior suite as well as lack of box of tissues or facial cleaning pads were surprising in a 4 star hotel. Evening meal was disappointing.
large balcony with table (small sea view on angle); electric kettle and tea bags in room; very good breakfast
distance from historic center in area with no character and no restaurants in walking distance; weak water pressure in shower; fee of 10 Euro if I had watched Sky Sport or Cinema channels;
The staff where extremely helpful and friendly.
The restaurant was quite draughty on a couple of occasions. It would not be a problem in high season but mid October and rain it was quite cool.
Modern style, no charm business hotel, dirty pool, superior room was clearly not superior, we wanted to leave early because of bad weather, had to pay extra penalty!
