Every hotel staff member we came in contact with treated us very respectfully. The concierge both morning and afternoon were very polite and very helpful. The staff on the terrace were very nice, The gentleman on the terrace in the evening was especially nice. We felt like we were part of his family. The menu is somewhat limited but always of high quality. The rooms were small by United States standards but average in size for European standards. Most staff spoke English very well, along with several other languages. When I return to Rome, Hotel dei Consoli will be number one on my list of hotels.

Great location in an upscale area of Rome, minutes away from the Vatican and a 15 minute walk across the bridges to the little squares in the historical centre. Very good value for money - we got a deal (prepaid) on the website. The staff were very polite and helpful. You have to pay for the Internet which I found a bit ott given what they normally charge for a room.. Don't go to either of the restaurants the guys at the reception would recommend - both are a rip-off and food was not that tasty. There's a very cool wine bar/restaurant just one street down (Via Properzio) called Il Sorpasso. They serve great alternative Italian food, not the usual tourist crap. It's filled with office workers around lunch time.

The location for this hotel is excellent. Steps from the Vatican and not far from Piazza di Pupolo. Good shopping right outside the door. The rooms are very small and there really is no lobby which makes check- in and out cumbersome. Rooms are carpeted which is never as fresh and clean as tile or wood floors. Shower was not working properly but staff responded and repaired immediately. The roof top terrace was never open in the evening. Breakfast was ok but not great.

Excellent location, close to Vatican and main shopping areas. Lovely rooftop terrace for breakfast and real scrambled eggs not powdered scrambled eggs. Reasonable value on the fast deal rate. Rude and unhelpful man at reception who did not bother to provide any information and when asked about the free Internet reluctantly provided the password.

Mahtava kattoterassi jossa aamupala ja iltaisin baari! Pietarinkirkko näkyy katolta, myös iltavalaistuksessa. Great roof terrace where breakfast is served - doubles as a bar at night! St. Peters cathedral can be viewed from the roof, also in its spectacular night lighting.

The location was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. Its was clean and comfortable. The shower wasn't good! The photographs were deceptive and portrayed a much larger perception of the rooms.

The hotel staff couldn't do enough for us, especially when I was I'll. The breakfast was excellent, with a huge choice of cakes and pastries and drinks. The roof top terrace was lovely. The jacuzzi bath was fun! I would stay there again. The bed was too hard and the pillows. It wouldve been nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

the Hotel was perfect for the price, good comfortable rooms of a good size, also the location was excellent, like center to everything shopping, tourism restaurants and the staff were excellent also, both reception guys speak excellent english and are more than to help your stay. would stay again if i were to visit my family in rome again. great stay. the only thing i didnt find perfect but decent given the price was breakfast, i enjoy good espresso and cornetto's (croissants) in the morning but in fairness its a hotel not a cafe bar, but other than that was perfect

The hotel location is walking distance to the Vatican and opposite the bus stop. Using the bus U81, we can practically made our way to all the popular landmark without using the subway or taxis. The hotel staffs speak English and was helpful... especially Mr. Samuel from the front desk.

Hotel was clean staff were friendly & helpfull the only dissapointment was that although they state they have a roof top Restaurant which we were looking forward to using when we got there we found out it didnt open until July each year Breakfast was adequate. It was quite noisy but then every hotel would have been the same its only 5 mins walk from the Vatican which was very handy. In general it is a good hotel to stay in

Hotel dei Consoli has a good location: nearby the Vaticano, not far away from a metro station, with several good restaurants and good shops in its neighborhood. The accomodations are confortable, with a charming decor. The hotel staff is very kind. In general, I think that the cost/benefit relation is very good. The hotel hall is very small, causing some discomfort when more than one guest goes to the reception desk at the same time.

Perfect location, walking distance from Vatican and other "must be seen". Very friendly staff. If you're late to breakfast be prepared to take what is left, not what you wanted,

“The room was lovely and comfortable, with an amazing view from the top floor. The staff was incredibly warm, welcoming, friendly, helpful!! The breakfast was plentiful and delicious....the location at the top of the Spanish Steps is perfect! I thought it might be noisy because of the location, but it was silent with the double windows...so peaceful! I would love to go back again.” Kathleen, Milford |
