The location is great, right in the centre of Sorrento. Hotel Del Corso was really good value for money and the rooms were clean and serviced each day. Overall, we enjoyed our trip and it was a great base to explore Sorrento. Breakfast was very basic and not much to choose from.

Location was excellent, right on the main street, but unloading suitcases from car was a little stressful, cars backed up impatiently behind us. Our room was a quintuple, very basic and unfortunately no fridge, which was very difficult with young children, no cold water when they needed it. The hotel is fine but make sure you get a fridge and be early for breakfast otherwise you miss out.

The hotel is an easy 5 - 10 min walk from the main station with or without luggage. Centrally located to historic centre, shops, main bus termini and railway station. Reception staff cheerful, helpful and always on the front desk when you needed them. Rooms clean and very basic. Reception is located on the 2nd floor which can be reached by a very small elevator. Rooms are only accessible by either 2 or 3 flights of stairs as the lifts do not service rooms above or below which can proove to be a problem if you find it difficult to carry suitcases up or down stairs. Breakfast was poor and not enough.

It was a charming hotel that had made the most of it's Mediterranean features: a roof terrace with garden furniture, ideal after a busy day to watch the sunset over Versuvius and a shaded breakfast terrace overlooking the town. Rooms were clean and well designed and the bathroom was spacious. Breakfast was excellent and included fresh fruit. It was centrally located and the surrounding shops meant you could stock up on fruit and cold drinks on your way back. Highly recommended. Staff made us feel at home and part of the family. I cannot fault this hotel. NB if you have problems with stairs tell them when you book as the lift doesn't serve all the floors.

The room was dirty, hair all over, the towels were yellow when they should have been white and the guy in front desk was nasty. When we asked for clean towels that were not frayed, he stated "this is not a grand hotel". I would srongly recommend to everyone not to stay their.

The best this Hotel have is their location, close to everything. My room was fine and I was able to use the air condition, something I could not do in a 4 start hotel I was before. My bathroom was very small but my friends got a very nice one. The staff, (concidering that you are in Italy and they are ussually very rude), were helpfull when we ask for directions, breafast was fine and I did not like to leave my room key went I go out, but that is a request in many small hotels here in Italy. The maid open my window/door facing a corridor open to the public terrace to keep the room fresh, I did not like it since my bags were there and any could had entered my room that way.

The location is perfect for "not a season trip". The price is also good.. There is no central heating in the hotel and it is a bit cold at nights in November. Of course one can use air condition for warming up but it is not so convenient. In November you may also catch a cold during breakfast as it is served on the veranda. The breakfast is rather modest.

The rooms are quite spacious - the updated rooms are great! The internet didn't work, was also quite expensive if it did. Beds and pillows are very hard. Would have liked ice to use in our room.

The fourth floor terrace was terrific, as was the location. My first room was located next to the laundry room, with machinery that ran all night - my next room was very private, but was really not the quailty one would expect from 3 stars, both in the quality of the construction and functioning of the rooms (shower doors fell off track, room seemed to be a converted cantina), and also the attention to details - rooms didnät function well, hotel cleaning staff started very early in the morning. When a group of tv producers took over the breakfast area to do business (during breakfast time for almost an hour), the initial response from one of the hotel staf was they could use the space as they wished. The second hotel staffer did very nicely take care of this issue after that.

The hotel couldn't be more central and although it was situated on the main street of Sorrento, which is very popular at night, we weren't affected by the noise which was completely blocked out when the window was closed. The hotel was traditional, clean and the room was air- conditioned. All the staff were extremely polite and friendly and we received basic information about Sorrento on arrival. We had a fantastic stay and would definitely return.

The Location is great. Very close to centre of Sorrento and market alleys. Easy to get to Marina for ferry to Capri and Positano. Staff did not seem keen to assist. Staff didn't offer usual friendly Italian service.

The staff were excellent. They were very friendly, as I found everyone in Sorrento, and more than happy to help with anything as needed. I would reccomend a visit to Sorrento to anyone primarily and would recommend the hotel as well, but in that order. I was travelling to a wedding and my suit was a little creased and they had no iron in the room nor when I asked at reception.

“Hotel staff were very friendly and answered all our queries. The Hotel has a very relaxed atmosphere and is away from the hustle and bustle of the main town, which is just a five minute walk away up steps. The Hotel told us we could get bus/train tickets from the local store to get to pompei, herculaenum and Naples, or a bus along the Amalfi coast, all pretty painless. They also organised a hire car for us at vey good rates. All in all a very enjoyable stay and would go back” Martyn, Plymouth |
