Amazing duvet, awsome location, fast wifi and great buffet breakfast
Hotel del Sol was exactly what we needed we were arriving late staying one night to see the ruins and leaving that afternoon, we wanted somewhere nice, good location and value for money. It ticket all the boxes. On arrival we were not disappointed the room was basic but sufficient for our needs, nice bed and clean! Staff were nice and helpful. They didn't go out of there way or above and beyond but were not at all rude and were welcoming.
Bed bugs. My partner was biten all over by bed bugs (a real dampner on our otherwise pleasant stay) The pizza in the hotel resturant was very very average even by fast food standard back home.
The breakfast offered many choices, all were good. The restaurant food for evening meals was great. Our room was modern and cleaned each day. The staff were friendly and helpful. For the quality of service and attentive staff this was great value not to mention the location was superb across the street from the Pompei ruins.
Minor things: a halogen light switch failed to work. There was also a little TV noise from the lobby. It would be helpful to install a small shelf in the shower for shampoo.
the location of the hotel is extremely convenient.
Breakfast spread is minimal and not much choice.
The lift was not working and they gave us a room in the 3rd floor!!! we had to carry all our our stuff up and of course down. That was no fun at all
good deal for the price, clean, parking is wotched and closed with a gate.
Easy to find, parking kind of tight but at least private lot behind hotel. Restaurant was very good! Ask for Nicco, he was friendly, helpful and attentive! Good variety for breakfast and great location across from Pompeii ruins.
Nothing about hotel or accommodations...Driving to it was a little hectic but to be expected near Naples.
Wonderful location and the best breakfast offered of all hotels we stayed in.
The hotel was undergoing renovations, so we could not stay on an upper floor with the view of the ruins. There was construction noise starting about 8:00 am until evening. Luckily, we were our during most daylight hours.
location, staff, clean
Coldish room noisy works going on
This hotel is right across from the entrance to the Pompeii ruins and a quick walk from the train station. The staff are extremely helpful and welcoming and the room was comfortable with a clean and newish bathroom. We arrived earlier than check-in so we went to the breakfast buffet and then across to the ruins while they prepared our room. When we returned they had taken our luggage to our room and left a complimentary bottle of wine! The breakfast buffet is great with lots of choices and the dinner menu is good as well. This is a great choice for staying while you make day trips to the surrounding towns and attractions. The value is exceptional!
The only thing I could say is that the free coffee is not very good and even the bought cappucinos could be better, but that would not stop me from staying again!
everything is perfect, room quite clean and beautiful, the reception is very very very nice. location just face to the entrance of Pombei scarvi. the breakfirst is very very good with a lot of choices. anyway all is perfect!
Perfect location in pompei, really clean and comfy, really good organic food.
It was a tiny noisy because of renovation.
Everything! Ana and Ariana at the front desk were great they answered all our questions and helped us get around pompeii and amalfi coast. the restaurant service was great we had a waiter that spoke English and we enjoyed the tourist menu and the regular menu. Plus is nice sometimes not to go out looking for a place to eat!
great location, excellent service in restaurant where they bent over backwards to make a dish for my vegetarian son! very good food for very good price
bathroom was clean but outdated.
breakfast Location Private parking (very safe) Helpful staff great price
Secure parking at hotel. 50 yards or so to entrance to Pompeii, quarter mile to town centre. Staff very helpful
So close to pompeii site. Clean, comfortable room. Adequate breakfast
Lukewarm and weak shower
Helpful informative happy helpful supportive staff Nothing too much of a trouble Had good anticipation of travel needs & offered good options to all enquiries Would stay with them again
Bed mattress a little lumpy hard
Everything else! For a European style moderate price hotel, you couldn't find a better location in Pompeii, and the staff was very pleasant.
The breakfast was mostly dessert-type things, no bread, and the juice was watered down.
The room was fine . The food was excellent we ate there every night for 4 nights on the terrace . The food was lovely and the staff very attentive and friendly. Have no doubts in recommending this hotel to anyone. The breakfast was good too .The location couldn't have been better for visiting Pompeii.
Very large room with views on balcony of Mt. Vesuvius & coastal mountains on other side. A feeling of spaciousness throughout building which is often lacking in many accommodation types.
Conveniently located across the street from Pompei ruins. Near good restaurants and beautiful town plaza and Basilica.
The only windows in our room opened up to an outdoor restaurant. The noise from the restaurant went on until very late into the night. Not much sleep.
Great Pizza, the best in Italy! Comfortable rooms with very friendly staff. A great central location with a nice restaurant.
the hot water pressure was very low
We loved that it was so close to the Pompei ruins, which was our primary reason for going there. I had chosen this hotel for that reason, and the fact that it was economical for our budgets. The staff were so friendly and helpful, they all spoke some English, which was good because my travel companion had no Italian at all. The waiting staff were attentive, the food was good, plentiful and cheap! It was my birthday while we were there, and they made a big fuss, which was just lovely, with complimentary birthday cake and sparkling wine to accompany it. I couldn't speak more highly of this hotel.
