In central Pompeii, Hotel Iside is just 325 ft from the archaeological ruins and 650 ft from the main square. The hotel's surrounding garden with citrus trees guarantees peace and quiet.

The hotel was 1km from train station which you made travelling to Naples and Sorrento really easy. Hotel is just over the road from a quieter entrance to Pompeii ruins. The new town of Pompei very nice and lively on Sunday evenings. Our room was very clean and had air con that came in handy on hot days. Breakfast ok.
Our room was on the 2nd floor, no view of ruins from here. The noise from the road made sleeping very difficult you may want to try ear plugs if have a room on the front of the hotel.
Convenient and priced right, close to the ruins of Pompeii.
Bed wasn't the most comfortable and staff was a bit intrusive when my sister needed to use the washroom (she wasn't saying with me) and also when my friend (who also wasn't staying with me wanted to come up to my room for a moment, both had to leave their documents (e.g. passport, drivers license) at the front desk. Also the bathroom had a funny smell and there were gnats.
Anna was very helpful on reception. speaks very good English. The rooms were very comfortable with aircon and Wi-Fi.
The staff in the restaurant were rude. We had dinner in the restaurant and was not very happy with it
Location and staff
Mouldy shower - noise level was beyond belief so no sleep for two days - no bar fridge for bottled water- not even a spare toilet roll - no bathroom storage - cramped and tiny -
it is in the city square
there is a bell noise from the church every hour
Great family run hotel with parking....met and guided in by a lovely Fella wearing a fab Quentin Crisp hat and jaunty neck scarf! Restaurant on site with good, reasonably priced food. Breakfast not fantastic, but absolutely fine, and the entrance to the Pompei ruins literally across the road. Very handy.
Got up a little late so only caught the brekkie dregs. Top....get up early to eat well!
Everything, but the "pizza el sole" was incredible
Location was excellent, secure parking...decent breakfast.
Located across the road from pompeii's secondary entry, meaning no lines to get in.
Close to ruins and restaurants. Abot 15 -20 mins walk from train station
Beds far to hard for my liking, while close to a ruins entrance, I would recommend going to main entrance as the one opposite hotel is at the other end of the main ruins. Breakfast was cakes and muffins they need more variety of 'English food' staff didn't speak very good English (better then my Italian) but difficult to communicate.no information in rooms about local amenities and restaurant menus would have been helpful in English.
Excellent location for visiting the ruins as it is just in front of them. The breakfast was good, lots of cakes. The hotel offers private parking included in the price. The size of the room was ok.
The rooms need renovation. The beds were pretty uncomfortable with mattresses below average. The bathroom was old (70s or even older) and they use old fashion towels which are probably typical for the region but do not absorb the water (normally these are used in the kitchen). The doors and their keys are from the 60s. Part of the personnel in the reception was hopeless.
Very friendly staff, good English speaking Perfect location to visit the ruins Private, free parking Nice garden Good breakfast and dinners
When you take into account that it is a 3-star hotel, and when you look at the price they ask, there is really nothing to complain about. It is a very good deal and I strongly recommend it to anyone who wants to visit Pompeii.
We stayed in a family room with 2 children aged 10 & 12 Location was great right by entrance to ruins. Enjoyed eating outside, generous breakfast & garden.
This is a 15 minute walk from the train station but very close to an entrance to Pompeii. There is a fairly priced restaurant with very kind and attentive servers. I enjoyed my meal. The hotel staff was helpful in helping me determine how to get to the airport. I had read a number of reviews and for those interested in trying to get the Naples Airport: you can take a train 30-45 minutes to Naples and either take a bus or cab to the airport. The quotes I saw from Pompeii to the airport via cab were incorrect (quote was 30 euro but it was 65-75 euro in reality) Be careful in Naples not to get scammed by a taxi cab. Ask for the meter. My cab from the Naples train station to the airport close by was 7 euro. If you are heading to Amalfi, it is easy to take the train to Sorrento.
My gps located the hotel at a different location. The staff said this is a common problem. It was well marked once I arrived, but, when walking with a bag from the train,... It was further than the gps said.
Very close to arch. Site Staff
Breakfast (don't be late)
Good value for the money. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean.
Although they say it is right across from the entrance to the ruins of Pompeii, it is actually at the exit to the ruins. It is about a 20-30 minute walk from the train station so, with suitcases, it is quite a trek. In the heat of the day with our luggage, we decided to take a taxi from the hotel back to the train station - cost 20 Euros!!
Excelent localization (2m walk to the Anfiteatro Scravi entrance). 10 m walking to Pompei Santuario train station. Friendly staff
Breakfast was too poor.
This is a very quiet and central location, just oppossite from the entrance to the ruins. There is a safe parking lot on the garden side of the hotel.
Breakfast was very simple and not adequate. This needs to be improved.
Easily accessible from both Trenitalia and Circumvesuviana Pompei train stations. Directly opposite entrance Pompei ruins with lots of restaurants and souvenir shops nearby. Entrance to the hotel is very obvious with lots of signage. The hotel were fine with a very early checkout (6:30 AM) which I required due to an early flight.
Very few power outlets in the hotel room
it was far away from train station
Excellent position for the ruins. StafAf very friendly and helpful, breakfast was ok, but didn't eat in the restaurant at other times. Perhaps we should have, the food in the local restaurants was quite poor.
Perfect location across from ruins.
Room was very dull and shabby. Used contact lens on the sink showed it had not been cleaned properly. No fresh fruit for breakfast.
Parking is an advantage in the crowdy city. Location in front of archelogical site.
Bathrooms need some renovation..
Great staff, food very good, location excellent.
Wifi was not good, kept going out all the time. Should have informed clients that their nice cafe was under reconstruction and not working. Otherwise nice experience.
