Demetra Hotel    

Hotelli erinomaisella paikalla, muutama minuutti kävellen Terminiltä. Hotellilta jaksoi myös hyvin kävellä nähtävyyksille (Trevi, esp.portaat, Pantheleon, Colosseum, Trastevere…). Shoppailumahdollisuudet lähellä, lähin metrolle muutama sata metriä. Huone siisti, hyvä ja tilava 3 henkilölle (parisänky + 2 erillistä). Tilava jää/baarikaappi, jossa 2 vesipulloa á 1,50 e, käytimme jääkaappina. Upea kylpyhuone (amme), kylpytuotteita, fööni. Sängyt hyvät, peittona lakana mutta vaatekaapissa oli viltit. Huone siivottiin päivittäin sekä vaihdettiin lakanat ja pyyhkeet. Maistuva aamiainen klo 7-10: muroja, mehuja, jogurttia, hedelmiä, leipiä, kakkuja, pullia, juustoja, kinkkua/makkaraa, munakokkelia ja pekonia sekä kahvia tai teetä. Henkilökunta ystävällistä ja auttavaista, jokainen osasi englantia.

Siisti hotelli, pyyhkeet vaihdettiin jokapäivä ja henkilökunta oli ystävällinen ja puhuivat englantia. Sijainti oli hyvä ihan Terminin lähellä ja metrolle pääsi kätevästi. Kävellen lyhyet matkat nähtävyyksiin.

Viemärit suihkussa ja lavuaarissa vetivät tosi hitaasti. ääNieristettyjä huoneita markkinoidaan, mutta viereisen huoneen äänet kuuluivat todella selvästi huoneeseemme. Sängyssä oli vain lakana peittona. Huone oli todella pieni.

Erinomainen sijainti melkein Termini-aseman vieressä, todella ystävällinen ja auttavainen henkilökunta, siistit huoneet ja hyvä aamiainen. Erittäin hyvä hotelli kohtuuhinnalla, voi suositella.

Yöllä kuului välillä hiukan autojen melua kadulta, mutta Roomasta on varmaan aika vaikea löytää huonetta jossa olisi ihan hiljaista.

Huoneet ja yleiset tilat olivat erinomaisessa kunnossa, siistit ja tyylikkäät. Hotellin sijainti lähellä Rebubblica aukiota ja Terminiä oli hyvä. Huoneissa tehokas ilmastointi. Henkilökunta oli ystävällistä ja palveluhenkistä.

Kun tilat ovat tyylikkäät voisi muovimukien sijaan huonessa olla kunnon lasit.

Location

I was staying for one night only and arrived pretty late around 11pm. The hotel is located on 3rd floor in a building - not very convenient to go up. After I checked in, I told the receptionist that I am expecting a friend of mine to come visit me in a room for an hour maximum. He told me it is not allowed to have guests in the room but he can break the rule though and let him in for a few minutes though. I said that if it is possible to say for "a few minutes", I don't see why he can't stay for half an hour and then leave as this is an Italian friend on mine who I haven't seen for a year. I would like to stress out that even though I booked it for one person, it was a double room - I noticed that and said I can pay the difference but the guy said it is no longer possible (I still can't understand the reason really). Avoid.

The professional and personal service by the hotel managers was outstanding. They attended to all our needs and responded efficiently to any concerns. We will recommend this hotel to family and friends.

Rooms small

The hotel is situated on first floor of 4 storey building. The hotel Demetra brand new - very clean lines - fresh and crisp. Typical Itialian modern style, with tiled floors and walls. The rooms are very nice, no frills. Location is great, 5 min walk to Termini bus station/train station. Stop for red open top tour bus 110.

The entrance off the street (which is shared by two hotels (Demetri and another) is still under construction, fitting electrics and piping under the stairwell. Was a bit frightening on arrival, but once you reach 1st floor reception, was beautiful. No tea making facilities.

The location of the hotel is perfect for a city break. 10 minutes walk from Termini station and we found it very easy to find using google maps. There is now a big sign so even though the reception is on the 1st floor of the building we still found it with ease. The location of the hotel was perfect for us to see the whole of Rome. We walked everywhere from the hotel. It is 15 minutes from the Colleseum and Roman Forum and maybe half hour walk the other way for the Spanish steps, trevi fountain and again about 30/40 minutes walk to the vatican. We were happy with this though - the best way to see Rome is to walk around and see what you find. When we arrived the staff explained there was a mix up with our booking, we had paid for a double room but there was not one available for the first night so we were upgraded to a suite for the first night of our trip. It meant we had to move rooms the next day but the room more than made up for this - it was lovely and staff moved all our belongings for us so it did not interfere with our trip at all. When we moved to the standard double room the next day we were still very happy with room. The rooms are a good size, clean and modern with a lovely bathroom. Breakfast was good - cereal, toast, pastries etc. I would highly recommend this hotel - exactly what we wanted and the price was really reasonable.

As the other reviews say the outside of the hotel looks a bit like a building site but once you are inside it completely makes up for this.

Excellent staff. Spotlessly clean. Very comfortable beds.

Breakfast was mediocre. Croissants were stale. Scrambled eggs old and like rubber.

Only a couple of minutes from the train station and metro hub. Spotlessly clean, friendly & helpful staff. Lovely little area downstairs for breakfast which had a good selection of food. Extremely quiet for a city centre hotel. Plenty of restaurants nearby but only a couple of minutes on tube to main squares anyway,

Nothing - for the price bracket it falls into it was excellent.

Everything. Good location, good breakfast, good decor, friendly helpfull staff. The front entrance is shared by other hotels on different floors and is in the process of being refurbished no doubt to the high standard of the hotel itself.

No english channels on tv. But who goes to Rome to watch tv?

The Demetra Hotel was very well presented the staff where very good it was exactly like the desciption on the Booking.com website

Near the terminal station. 5 minutes by foot.

Not great value for the money spent. For 120 euros a day I can find five star hotel twice better in Cyprus.

Everything; and compliments for your staff. We checked in with Lorenzo and he gave us useful info. Breakfast was various and really delicious!

Broken air con (on 1st night) but repaired when requested, lack of tea/coffee making facilities in the room (alternatively a bar area/ room service after hours), poor signage for hotel entrance and no warning/apology for renovation works at entrance.

Like the close proximity to all modes of public transport. The rooms had very clean modern lines and very friendly staff who were absolutely helpful with tourist tips.

Very little to dislike but maybe more choices at breakfast and possibly tea/coffee facilities in bedroom itself.

Location

Great location, close to the Termini. Clean, comfortable, quiet, modern room but quite small. Breakfast was basic but edible, with good coffee but cannot complain about anything as it was a great price for the room.

Nothing - for what we paid, we got more than expected. It is not a four star hotel by any stretch of the imagination but in saying that, I've stayed in worse 5 star hotels and paid 3 times the price!
