Hotel Derby biedt uitstekende accommodatie in het mooie gebied Garbatella van Rome. Het is uitstekend aangesloten op transportverbindingen naar het historische centrum van Rome en ligt tevens in de buurt van de zakenwijk EUR. Hotel Derby ligt op korte loopafstand van 2 metrostations. Er stoppen ook bussen dicht bij het hotel. Binnen 10 minuten bent u bij het Colosseum. Neemt u zich gerust de tijd om dit bekende deel van Rome te verkennen terwijl u langs de vele villa's en tuinen van omstreeks 1920 struint. De Sint-Pietersbasiliek, een van de belangrijkste kerken van Rome, ligt op slechts 5 minuten van het hotel. Voor uw diner hebt u de keuze uit diverse typisch Romeinse restaurant in de buurt. De pubs en clubs in deze jonge, bruisende wijk zijn ook ontzettend gezellig. De kamers van Hotel Derby zijn comfortabel en vele bieden een panoramisch uitzicht over Garbatella. Aangenaam hotel in een volksbuurt, met eenvoudige kamers die elke dag opgeruimd worden. Op 10 minuten stappen van metrohalte Garbatella, met leuke, goedkope restaurants en afhaalpizza-kebab dichtbij. Bijzonder vriendelijke receptionist die je kan helpen met buslijnen (metrolijn C door het toeristische centrum is in aanbouw, dus soms is bus handig), praktische tips, internet en dergelijke. Ontbijt is steeds hetzelfde, maar lekker niettemin. Kleine douche, en wasbak hangt bijna boven toilet.

Goed hotel, zeker gezien de prijs. Vriendelijk personeel, schone kamers. Prima geschikt voor een citytrip. Vanaf de Metro wel de eerste keer wel moeilijk te vinden. Tip: print een goede kaart uit voor je gaat. Loopafstand is met koffers ook net een beetje teveel. Dit weegt echter niet op tegen de voordelen

Eenvoudig hotel waar de tijd is blijven stil staan. Gelegen in een prettige, rustige wijk. Goede metroverbinding naar het centrum. Goede geluidsisolatie van de kamers. Traditionele, vriendelijke service eigen aan een familiaal hotel. Goed ontbijt.

De kamer was schoon en netjes. Het personeel was erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Rondom het hotel waren allerlei winkeltjes, koffietentjes en restaurantjes te vinden. Vanaf het hotel was het centrum van de stad gemakkelijk en snel te bereiken.

Zeer vriendelijk personeel, gemoedelijke sfeer. Bus naar het centrum stopt vlakbij, metro op 700 meter afstand. Je kan ontbijten op het terras. Prijs/kwaliteit zeer goed. geluidsisolatie zowel naar straatkant als naar andere kamers kon beter. Gordijnen mochten wel eens gewassen worden Ontbijt is tamelijk beperkt qua keuze, je kan bv de slappe sneetjes brood niet toasten.

The hotel was really nice and clean. We got the balcony with the view to the street and small square but was not loud at all.(nice view) The hotel itself is good located - just 10min by walk from the metro stop Garbatella (3rd stop from the Colosseum). Staff in the hotel is so helpfull - especially Angello the receptionist - very kind and helpfull!! There could be bigger choice at the breakfast.

The hotel was clean, bright and welcoming. All the staff were really helpful and very willing to spend time explaining how to do whatever we were trying to do. All spoke English to a very high degree and could not have been friendlier. The room was clean, comfortable and warm and the breakfast provided everything one could want at the start of the day. There were a choice of restaurants in the area and an excellent pizzeria on the way to the Metro. The hotel was about a 10 minute walk to the nearest Metro station which was only a problem if you were in a hurry, or the weather was awful (which it was while we were there!) Otherwise it was a pleasant walk. The only negative on our stay was the shower in our room. It took 5 minutes for hot water to reach us on the 3rd floor, by which time the shower tray was full and overflowing, so you had to turn off the showere and wait for the water to drain slowly away. Then hope to get hot water before the tray filled up again! But we got quite good at the process!

Excelent staff - the best I have had in Italy Unfortunatelly there were problems with hot watter. The breakfest is very poor.

The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The room was good. They changed the towels and cleaned the room every day. If I have to choose to go to Rome again I will definitely choose hotel Derby. Good price, good location, nicest - good people :) During the night it was a little bit noisy. I guess the street in front the hotel connects two neighborhoods or something like that, but it's not a big problem.

A solid hotel for a reasonable price (I paid 70 euros for a single room) compared to other hotels in the area. The room was small but equipped with everything needed. The hotel is not on a main road, so rooms are rather silent.

About a 5-7 minute walk to the Metro station which was very reasonable and there was a fantastic gelato place on the way to/from the station which we went to a lot. We got the Roma Pass so our Metro rides were covered, or you can get a day or 3 day passes too. It was about a 5-10 minute ride to the Colloseum so nothing was roo far. The staff at the front desk were very friendly, their English was excellent, and they gave great information and tips. Great value for the money and a great breakfast included as well including pastries, cheese, yogurt, cereal, bread, jams, coffee, teas, and juices. They would also make specialty coffees if asked. We had a room with a big sized double bed (more like a queen-sized width) and air-conditioning in the room that we could control. We also had a decent sized bathroom but the shower was small. Overally I would definately recommend staying here as if you don't mind walking a bit (which you will be doing in Rome anyways to see everything) the 10-15 minutes it takes to get to the sights is totally worth it.

hotel stuff was very helpful,kind and friendly. They can all the things that they know about rome and they are very useful staff. Also breakfast is satisfying. Room was clean and there was everything you might need the only negative point is its location. But it is 10min far away to nearest underground station

Very clear, which is unusual for Italy, staff is very friendly, excellent breakfast. little far from the city center. You need to use metro to reach the city center and walking distance till metro is about 10-15 min, there is also bus to metro, but they go very rare.

We had a wonderful time staying in Hotel Derby, very near bus stops and not far from the Metro Station Garbatella either. Rooms were spotless, and the staff were warm, friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again. Excellent value for money.

Good hotel. Beatyfull district. Few stops by metro from all sightseen. Excellent staff at reception - all very friendly. Good atmosphere. Terrace for sitting, computer with internet in hall. Good breakfast. And cheap and tasty pizza at the corner :) If will visit Rome choose the same hotel next time.
