The hotel is located very close to the Santa Maria station and also the Central Mercato. You can easily get around all of Florence from this location. The breakfast was a joke. One morning they passed off pie and stale bread as the offering. They also offer free 30 minutes of Internet however, you can only use that from 2pm to 1am. |

This hotel is not as advertised. It is located in a sketchy apartment building on the fifth floor up a dark creepy staircase. The rooms are extremely basic, bathrooms dirty and staff slightly incompetent. It does, however, come with a reasonably good breakfast so if you can stand using a tiny shower and seeing suspicious stains on the curtains, it's worth it. Location is fine, a 5-10 min walk to the Duomo. I will not stay here again. |

Very good location, good staff, comfortable room and very clean bathroom! Typical Italian breakfest (bread,butter,jam,cornflakes,milk and some sweet cake + juice and coffey) was enought. Absolutely fantastic proportion of price/value!!! |

i like that is very close to the termini and the 30 minutes free internet. the staff is excelent. i would defenetly will stay again here. the room was little (double private) but was clean and for the price you cannot ask more. Breakfast could be better!! |

The staff were great, rooms functional and clean, and the location was very good, as was the price. Despite being at the back of the hotel it was quite noisy. The walls were very thin and you could hear someone sneeze in the next room! Breakfast was poor. |

price. the hotel does not take credit cards had to pay in cash! dreadful difficult to find 146 euros at 7am. had to run to station to find atm nearly missed my plane. our room overlooked a street people shouting intil 5am every night no sleep every night. breakfast dreadful wouldn't feed it to farm animals. i've stayed in hotels all over the world its the worst experience i've ever had. |

Location, nearby railway station and centre. Free internet for 30 minutes. Found some hair in the bathroom. Very poor breakfast. |

the hotel has a great location, just few minutes from the railway station, the room was clean, staff was very helpful. free internet for 30 minutes a day and breakfast (simple but was included in price) made it even more valuable really good price for such a service we stayed in a room next to the lift and it was quite noisy. |

Hotel is very close to station and very near to most of the attraction. Receptionis at during checkin hours was very rude. Just kept on aruguing about that the hotel has not confirmed the booking. So they are not obliged to provide the requeste booking. Said it is upto the manager to decide. But other staff were good and kind. |

The hotel is very well located. Our room was looking into an inner courtyard, which was excellent, considering that Via Nazionale is a main street with bus traffic - it was veeery quiet. Staff was very accomodating, helpful and smiling. The room was very clean and well-equipped: hairdryer in the bathroom, TV, aircon. Breakfast was basic, but we were not expecting much anyhow. |

The location of the this hotel is very good. We booked a double room and the room size was quite ok for two persons. The staff was also helpful and friendy. Our room was in the side that close to the street. Noises can be heard all the night. |

We have been to Florence many times and if you need to be near Station/Airport transfer Hotel Derby is a great location. Also being so well placed to San Lorenzo markets is a real bonus and very easy to get around to all major sites of Florence. The view from terrace is amazing and well worth the stay. Telephone and remote control did not work. I was provided with good advice regarding alternate to making a call in my room as this was expensive and gentleman came to our room to show how to manually change tv. |

It was extreemly noicy during most of the night and the receptionist forgot my wake up call also the breakfast of dry bread, dry cake and cornflakes does not a buffet make and although it stated on the second page of my reservation that this hotel accepted creditcards they only accept cash which was quite a problem for me. |

very nice and friendly staff, great location in the heart of the city, our room (no.7) had a duomo-view, rooftop-terrace, every guest has 30mins of free internet-usage per day, rooms were small but very clean bathroom was small, which is not really a problem for us, but the shower was leaking and the water didnt properly discharge - so the bathroom had a permanently wet floor. however, the room was properly cleaned every day in the morning and the bathroom was also taken care of. |

It is 15 min walk to Duomo. The hotel owner was very rude. When I objected to him that he had to fix the electricity system that crashed he said "Go f**k yourself!" in Italian and by chance I knew some Italian. Yes, the electricity was cut, the air condition stopped, it was so hot and humid during the night that we could not sleep and that ruined the day after which was our only chance to visit Florence. I would never go to Derby Hotel again. Nor will I recommend it to anyone. |
