Hotel with character totally suited to its Florentine location. In a quiet tree-lined side street within walking distance of station, river, restaurants and all sites. Friendly staff, comfortable beds, clean rooms, good continental style breakfast all at a very reasonable price in a city which can be a little expensive.

The location of the hotel is excellent. It is one street back from the river, a short walk into town, a short walk to the main railway station and it is in a lovely tree lined street. The room was small but well appointed. Breakfast was included in our tariff and was more than adequate. Staff were courteous and helpful and English was not a problem. Free wifi was appreciated.

They provided warm milk for my baby once we arrived at 23:00, and that did not appear in the bill ;)

I would not call it 4 stars hotel - room and bathroom were quite old, reception personnel not friendly, breakfast was ok, but not up to 4 star standard.

The staff are all very nice, they booked museum tickets for us and helped us as possible as they can. The location is good, just couple of minutes from the Firenze S.M.N., and very close to the SITA where you can take a bus to The Mall as well. From the hotel, you can visit all the famous places on foot.

My girlfriend and I made this short trip to Italy mainly for shopping in Milan while trying to squeeze in a few days in Tuscany. After staying three nights in San Gimignano, we decided to stay one night in Florence as both of us had been there before years ago. For just one short night, we had to choose a hotel that is close to where the 'action' is - Duomo! After checking a few hotels online, we decided on De Rose Palace Hotel. First for its close proximity to the Duomo; second, the price is fairly reasonable compared to other similar class and location. Lastly, we found the decor of the hotel in the photos appealling. We were not disappointed. Though the hotel is small and lack some of the facilities or services of big hotels like bell-hop services, swimming pools etc, it was cosy and the staff at the Reception was very friendl, chatty and helpful. The twin room with two beds as requested was clean and of the size as expected of small boutique hotel, but comfortable enough. The price of the room came with breakfast; the spread of breakfast items was decent and sufficient to start the day. The best about the hotel is its walking distance to the Cathedral (Duomo), central shopping area and the famous Florence bridge! Also, it's quite near to the train station, if one has to catch a train to Milan or elsewhere. May/Singapore

Ottima posizione, l'hotel è vicino alla stazione di Santa maria Novella quindi molto comodo da raggiungere anche a piedi. Non lontano dal centro e vicinissimo al Teatro Comunale.nei dintorni ci sono diversi locali e trattorie in cui pranzare o cenare. Colazione buona e varia

La stanza era un po' fredda e senza possibilitá di regolare il termostato. Noi abbiamo prenotato una tripla, ma il terzo letto era chiaramente un letto per bambini

Ottima posizione, vicinissima alla stazione e al centro storico. Ambiente molto professionale e serio, camere sempre molto pulite.

Πρόκειται πράγματι για παλιό αρχοντικό που ανακαινίστηκε. Το δωμάτιό μας ήταν πολύ άνετο και πεντακάθαρο, πολύ όμορφο, πάνω στο δρόμο που είχε φοβερή ησυχία, διότι δίπλα βρίσκεται η πρεσβεία των Η.Π.Α. και ο δρόμος είναι αδιέξοδος, οπότε δεν περνάνε αυτοκίνητα, ενώ έχει φύλαξη διαρκώς. Απέχει 10-15 λεπτά από Uffizi με τα πόδια, ευχάριστη διαδρομή, έστω κι αν δεν είναι κέντρο 100%. Απέχει 5 λεπτά από σιδηροδρομικό σταθμό, δεν αξίζει ούτε το ταξί, αν μπορείς να προσανατολιστείς. Το προσωπικό μιλούσε αγγλικά άνετα και ήταν εξαιρετικό από κάθε άποψη. Το Internet ήταν δωρεάν, εξαιρετικής ποιότητας. Η τηλεόραση είχε τουλάχιστον 60 κανάλια, ιταλικά αλλά και ξένα και μάλιστα και κινηματογραφικές επιτυχίες στα αγγλικά. Μεγάλη κι ευχάριστη έκπληξη!

Το πρωινό του ξενοδοχείου δεν ήταν επιπέδου 4 αστέρων ούτε κατά προσέγγιση. Μολονότι ο (μικρός) χώρος του πρωινού ήταν πολύ όμορφος, σημειώνω απλώς ότι δεν είχε φέτες τοστ, δεν είχε ομελέτα, έπρεπε να ζητάς από το προσωπικό καφέ, ζεστό νερό, δεν είχε δηλ. αυτόματα μηχανήματα, δεν είχε ζαμπόν παρά μόνο ένα είδος μοτσαρέλα, ομοίως και στο κασέρι (1 είδος μόνο), ενώ τα κρουασάν ήταν εμπορίου, μέτρια, όπως και το κέικ. Δεν ήταν άνοστα, αλλ' απλώς ήταν πολύ "φτωχό", οριακά θα το έλεγες 3 αστέρων.

Il miglior rapporto qualità-prezzo fra i quattro stelle in città, struttura tranquilla e silenziosa, eppure prossima al centro, materassi molto comodi, personale cordiale e accogliente.

Sarebbe strategico qualche rinnovamento, sia strutturale che negli arredamenti. Migliorabile anche la colazione continentale.

O café da manhã é bom.

Precisamos de um pouco de gelo e o funcionário que estava de plantão na portaria se negou, respondendo de maneira rude. No dia seguinte, faltavam apenas 5 minutos para o início do café da manhã, este mesmo funcionário não nos deixou ter acesso ao ambiente onde o mesmo era servido. Neste dia tinhamos que pegar o trem muito cedo para Pisa. Resultado: fomos tomar café em outro lugar. O box do banheiro era muito pequeno e estava entupido.

Ar condicionado muito quente durante o dia, frigobar não funcionava e tinha uma cama de solteiro minuscula .Tem alguns degraus na entrada do hotel e não tinha ninguem para ajudar com as malas

La ubicación porque está cerca de los principales puntos de interés pero en un barrio residencial que permite dormir. Aclaro que dicha ubicación exige caminar de 10 a 15 cuadras o tomar un taxi, si los huéspedes no están acostumbrados a caminar

El desayuno puede mejorarse.

Solo... Un "rumorosissimo" componente dello staff che ha disturbato l'intera sala (con grande, sebbene silenziosa, stupore da parte degli ospiti di provenienza straniera) durante la colazione con continue lamentele (e l'utilizzo di parole anche "pesanti" ) nel corso di una interminabile discussione con una collega (molto piu' "moderata").
