Set on the fourth and fifth floors of a 19th-century building, Scott House Hotel is in the center of Rome, next to Termini Train and Metro Stations.
Score from 580 reviews Good
Hotel Sonya is in a quiet area of central Rome, in front of the Opera House and 50 yards from the Viminale Palace. Rooms have free internet and a cable TV.
Score from 1268 reviews Very good
B&B La Casa Di Amy offers air-conditioned rooms with private bathrooms in the lively and central Esquilino area, one of the 7 hills on which ancient Rome was founded.
Score from 541 reviews Excellent
Hotel Saint John is an impressive building 220 yards from Manzoni Metro Station on line A, and a 15 minute walk from the Colosseum. Rooms are air-conditioned and feature LCD TVs.
Score from 1361 reviews Good
The staff was polite and willing to help us and answer all of our questions. The location was quite convinient as far as the public transportation.
The wifi was quite weak in some rooms. The walls were thin and no soundproofing and sometimes this fact is disturding or even makes you feel nervous not to make any noise.
GENERAL OVERALL GOOD
NO RECEPTION STAFF ON ARRIVAL WAITING A VERY LONG TIME TO GET INTO PROPERTYI NO EARLY BREAKFAST FOR PEOPLE TRAVELLIN EASY TO FIND BUT EXTERIOR VERY UNINVITIING
Fantastic directions by the staff.pointed out all of the areas of interest and how to get there. Breakfast was fantastic and the young lady very attentive.
Everything was great!
- Friendly Staff (especially Nour) - Design of rooms - Flat TV, wifi - Beautiful breakfast area
- It says it is a Central Station Hotel but in fact it is 15 minutes away from Central Station (Termini)
The lady who cleans the room and serves breakfast was very nice and considerate. The room and hallway looks very modern. They also gave a discount for all of the problems we experienced with them.
Bathroom had a sewer like smell and was noisy. Sink dripped underneath and the put the wastebasket there like we couldn't tell. The showerhead's pressure was off, so it was very low on some nozzles and extreme high on others. The high water pressure hurt. And, management said if you need anything, call them. Well, they are hardly around and never picked up the phone. And the rooms have no phone, so it was doublely fustrating trying to call them. Oh, the toilet started running and wouldn't stop for awhile.
The bed was comfortable and the breakfast waitress was very attentive. The best ice-cream shop in Rome was round the corner.
We had to sit in the communal area to get good reception. Room looked on to a dingy central courtyard with a dripping overflow that kept us awake at night. Grouting in the shower needed a good clean. Breakfast area had low tables and stools. Breakfast selection poor. Difficult to get information as the reception never seemed to be manned. Bus stop outside but limited routes from it so not a good location unless you are fit.
friendly and helpful staff Nice room free wifi Not too far from Termini station quiet at night
Just a little far from main attractions
Friendly staff, clean and modern in a good location
the breakfast was nice, pastries , croissants, cereal, good coffee. close to termini train station , we walked to and from it.Close to the Colosseum.
would have liked to open a window, so I can look outside.
The staff member's recommendation of a restaurant was excellent! And it was just around the corner, with a huge gelateria across the street! Wow! The limo service to and from Civitavecchia was excellent, albeit hair-raising, by Mr. Andrea Angeli, who provided a wonderful commentary on the sights as we came to them during the drive to Rome. The breakfast was very good, the breakfast room staff very nice.
The beds were pretty hard if you are used to sleeping in a somewhat soft bed. But we found much harder ones as we traveled further around Italy.
The room, the bathroom, the simple but very nice breakfast, All facilities in the room.
Noise from the heavy door being slammed by other guests. Our room was near that door on the same level as the breakfast room.
Rome is very cosy, it's possibel to eat and drink well at good price and in the most beautiful places Staff: great help/ comunication (information from reception about the city, no problems with the check in/ out late) Location (near termini, bus stop, metro and next to the best GELATOS!!! - La Romana - from Rome) Bedroom (no noise, good bed/ pillow, tv, wi-fi...) Calm neibours Capuccino on the breakfast
Bathroom (cleaned, but smelled a litle bit funny, may be from the old pipes) City Tax 3,5 euros each day/ each person Breakfa st: no fresh fruit Fontani
The staff were fantastic. They were courteous, helpful, polite and always dealt with issues professionally. The rooms were kept spotlessly clean.
The wi-fi was satisfactory but could use a bit of tweaking.
Great hospitality, clean room, good location, excellent value for money. Will come back again!
Great location. Lovely rooms. Better than regular hotels. Great privacy also. We booked again. See you soon. Milica, Toseef and the baby.
I was surprised to find how honest this hotel is to the pictures it shows. I found my room to be modern and extremely comfortable. The entire visit was enjoyable, and I would stay there again and again on my visits to Rome.
If you do not mind staying in the part of the city that is close to Termini station - rather than in the centre - then this location is great for you. If you'd prefer somewhere closer to the busy parts of Rome then that may be a dislike of yours. I found it accessible for my needs during my trip though.
A really nice place to stay. Staff is excelent. Rooms are nice and clean.
Wireless but because of the holiday they couldnt fix it.
Staff very friendly and flexible regarding check in tasty breakfast near to the main railstation
wifi signal in room not available, only at the reception or on the stairs available
very nice staff, very clean room, very good breakfast.Iwould certainly come back if I come to Rome again.
Very convenient location, friendly, helpfull staff
Neat and tidy rooms with a clean modern finish. Bathroom was tastefully designed. The rooms are distributed over two floors in an apartment style building with a small breakfast room. Not hard to find but bear in mind it is does not have it's own entrance and shares a communal one with the rest of the building. Breakfast was adequate for what you would expect in Italy - small plate of smoked meats, breads and juices but good considering it is all inclusive - starts at 8 though which may not be suitable for early departures. The hotel is situated about a 15 min moderate paced walk north from termini railway station and as a result, if hoping to be very close to the major sites in the eternal city, then may not be the best choice. However buses do service the main road in front of the building and the nearest metro is also about a 10 min walk away. The trevi and piazza spagna would take about 25 mins to walk to from the hotel and is pleasant. Beware of late arrivals though as reception not always staffed and best you warn them about arrival times. They happily would hold luggage for you and even provide a key for the main door if checked out for the day. Overall, good value for money, well appointed rooms, fairly conveniently located and wifi actually worked.
Room excellent as described in feature. Air con very welcome. Staff helpful, friendly and welcoming.
Fresh, clean, modern room. The staff were very helpful. Breakfast was good.
Wifi is slow and it would be good if breakfast was available earlier than 0800 as we had to catch an early flight.
The place is very central but quiet enough; it's a small hotel with nice ambiance, well designed rooms and furniture, excellent quality B&B that you are happy to come back at the end of a busy day walking throughout Rome.
I liked that it was close to everything and how friendly the staff was, it was very clean and comfortable.
the breakfast was terrible and the wifi kept playing up but those where the only down sides .
