Close to railway station and helpful staff.

Small bathroom, poor pillows. Buses gathering outside early morning and making noise.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Really close to the station.

Staff was very helpful. Hotel is close to the train station.

The furniture is old, the TV is placed very high and small screen. The flush of the toilet makes a loud notice very disturbing!

The breakfast was very good. Also, the rooms were spacious and well furnished.

They do not have common areas to relax in. They only had some chairs in the corridors: no common room, hall or living room,

It is perfectly located, jut 2 mins walk from the Station and very close to the centre of Florence. 5 mins to the Duomo and 5 mins to the Conference Centre. The rooms are comfortable, the breakfast very generous and the staff are lovely. This is the 2nd time I have stayed there and I would recommend it to my friends and colleagues.

the location is very strategic. Just a few minutes from the train station.

There are a few stairs in the main gate of the hotel. It is not very comfortable for me to carry my huge luggage up.

It was old and shabby

We were travelling by train so the Hotel was well located. It is also close to the main tourist attractions and well within walking distance. The staff are very helpful and friendly. There is a nice atmosphere in the hotel and I enjoyed the Florentine decor. This made a nice change from the normal contemporary styled hotels. I have stayed at Hotel Desiree before and was very pleased to return. I requested a room with a balcony and the staff were able to oblige. The bedroom was quite large with a terrazo floor. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast and the environment of the dining room.

They are the only hotel (of many) we came across that tacked on an extra 3% for "currency exchange." Ridiculous.

Location is great. Reception personnel is more than helpful and kind.

The guy that was working on reception on Wednesday is the most professional, the most serviceable staff that we met. The best service we had.

The hotel is in a fantastic location literally 5 minutes walk from the train station, and then 19 minutes to the Duomo....the place was spotlessly clean and the breakfast room was light and airy with a nice buffet style breakfast. The staff are fantastic and helpful and friendly. We will definitely return here again!

The hotel is conveniently located near Firenze smn railway station, in a large building. The breakfast was included in the room rate and quite nice. The wifi connection was also included in the room rate. The staff of the hotel was really nice to us and friendly and they were helpful in solving any issues with the room and luggage handling.

The bathroom was the worst part of the room: small and with an old moving plastic wall to separate the shower area from the rest of the bathroom. No window and fan not working. The old style elevator that serves the hotel was out of order most of the times and customers often forgot to close the doors after getting out of it, so that it resulted engaged even when disengaged. Cleaning of the room was not so accurate (we noted a sticky stain on a table that stayed there until the day we left).

Next to the train station. Good value for money.

location was good, just across the road from the train station. only a 10 to 15 walk to the city center. the room was basic but comfortable , which was reflected in the price we paid for our stay. on the whole good value for the money,

We were highly impressed with the hotel. Easy to find, only a few minutes walk fromt the bus or train station, had an elevator. Even tho arrived early, checked us in quickly. Staff was very helpful, room large as was the bathroom. Very clean, with a fridge. Only a 10-15 min walk to main attractions. Would highly recommend, especially for the price.
