We stayed at the Hotel Diamant for the Maratona dles Dolomites in July 2014. The hotel is in a quiet village away from the chaos in Corvara. The location of the hotel is good if you're intending staying there to do the Maratona. On the day you can drive just 2km from the start line in La Villa where there is a free car park that isn't affected by the road closure. At the hotel there is plenty storage space for bikes in the basement and plenty room to build them. The hotel is situated at the base of the passo delle erbe which is a scenic climb and a nice one to loosen the legs. The staff at the hotel were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. They also got into the spirit of the Maratona and provided celebratory food and drinks after the event. Natacha and Warner speak perfect English too. The choice at breakfast was excellent and ideal really for cyclists. The evening meals were very good and also very good value for money. There was a communal lounge area where they had free tea and coffee. There was also a happy hour where alcoholic drinks were half price so 2 euros for a large beer. There were also good facilities within the hotel that included a swimming pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. If you like peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle then this is a nice place to stay. I would certainly stay there again if I was back over for the Maratona.
Only a very minor point given everything else that was available free of charge but the bathroom in the room was a little dated and basic.
