The location was excellent, couldn't be better. All the staff, particularly those at the front desk, were invariably friendly and helpful. The car valet service was very good, super convenient, and fairly priced, considering the urban location. Again, given the location in a largely pedestrian area inside the walls of the old city, the hotel provided excellent driving directions. The breakfast provided a tremendous variety and unlimited quantities. The rooftop bar was pleasant, and our room was large.

The breakfast buffets were wonderful--very generous in choices, and surprisingly included scrambled eggs to order. Those eggs were probably the best I ever had at a hotel breakfast! We enjoyed the fresh fruits, the pastries and bread, the ham and prosciutto, and the cappuccinos and pots of tea. The waitress from Romania couldn't have been nicer. The dining room itself is lovely.
The room was so very comfortable. The bathroom was gorgeous and included the largest hotel tub we have ever seen. We appreciated that staff honored our request for a quiet room by giving us a top floor room on a back courtyard to avoid street noise.
The valet parking worked out so well for us. We appreciated Stefano's efficiency and cheerfulness. The front desk staff were always helpful, especially with directions for exiting and entering the historic district. I appreciated that they tolerated my grammatically incorrect Italian and didn't automatically switch to English!

Nestled within the walls of a high-ceilinged old building, my recent stay at this hotel was quite enchanting.
The moment I stepped into my room, the towering ceilings caught my eyes. The room itself was very spacious and clean, with comfortable sitting area. And the high ceilings really added to the overall spaciousness and felling of coziness. The bathroom was also very spacious equipped with all the toiletries.
I also appreciated the hotel's amenities, including the beautiful dining area. The breakfast options were diverse and tasty, providing a great start to my day.
In short, the hotel is a true gem for those who appreciate the glamour of high ceilings, and enjoy the seamless blend of old-world charm and contemporary comfort.

Lecce dazzles every visitor offering one of Italy’s best preserved walled historic centres. Its wonders include tasteful traditional cuisine, rich wines, and charming shops. Located near the crystalline waters of both the Adriatic and Ionian beaches, it is a perfect base to explore the Salentine Peninsula.
Its origins are unclear, but it is believed that dates back to the 12th or 11th century BC, when Italic tribes founded a settlement nearby, which Romans later occupied and relocated to its current position. The pages of its history are filled by Byzantine rulers, several invasions, a Norman rebirth, and an annexation to the Kingdom of Sicily.
Its distinctive Baroque style is combined with well-preserved Roman remnants. Don’t miss the historic centre during sunset, when the light creates a perfect contrast between the blue sky and the mild-yellow colour of the limestone buildings. St Oronzo Square houses the Roman Amphitheatre, while the outstanding Holy Cross Basilica is a must. Don’t miss the magic of staying in a hotel or B&B in Lecce’s Old Town.
The city is serviced by the local railway station, while Brindisi Airport is 45 km away. Whether you’re searching for rural accommodation in the surroundings of Lecce, a resort on the nearby beaches, or a cosy guest house in the centre, check out the deals available on Booking.com.

Lecce is a beautiful city with a rich history and gorgeous architecture. It's not so big as to feel overwhelming or chaotic, however. It has a calm and chill vibe that larger Italian cities farther to the north don't possess. It's an easy place to get to know and to feel at home in. More so than the rest of Italy, the far south is on more of a Spanish schedule, shutting down in the afternoon for a few hours before opening back up for the late afternoon and evening. Dinner is typically late - 10 pm or after. People considering a trip to Puglia in general should be adaptable in their eating schedules.
Lecce is not on the sea but is only 30 minutes from each side of the Salento peninsula. The two coastlines are quite different and offer different experiences; both are worth exploring at length. However, one will need a car. Fortunately, car rentals are easy to come by and are quite affordable by European or North American standards.

Lecce… and especially Dimora San Giuseppe… were a wonderful surprise!
I was originally planning to stay 4 nights here and 4 nights in Bari. First I asked if I could keep my room for 2 more nights… and the decided to skip Bari altogether and just stay in Lecce.
The quirky little restaurant right across the street, dall’antiquario, is small, inviting and serves the best local food you could find. I ate there every night of my extended stay!
If you’re coming to Puglia, stay in Lecce and enjoy the hospitality of Dimora San Giuseppe and the neighboring dall’antiquario! Unforgettable!

Lecce is charming and has many beautiful churches (most every place charges entrance). The old walled in town is compact. I found 2 coliseums. Big problem finding food. They close most everything for at least 3 hrs in the afternoon. Most restaurants don't open till 7pm. Good luck finding anything gluten free. It's a bread & pasta diet.

Beautiful town, small and easy to walk around.
Beautiful town, small and easy to walk around. Lovely restaurants & cafe’s. Al Ventuno was great for apperitifs, lunch & drinks. Very affordable. La Bocca Bistrot had a lovely dining experience - delicious food with a different approach to the Italian cuisine. Recommend. Tranquilo also a lovely restaurant & bar right at the amphitheatre. Overall a great trip to Lecce, recommend 2-3 days.

The mediaeval centre is beautiful and traffic free which adds greatly to the experience. Our booking was ideally located for relaxed wondering around bars, restaurants, roman ruins and churches.
We had a delicious celebration meal at one recommended restaurant but vegetarians need to be discerning as many places have a very meat-focussed menu.
Dimi House is a fantastic place to stay in Lecce. The shared facilities where you have your breakfast is just absolutely beautiful and super cosy. The rooms are lovely and gives you the perfect romantic feeling, and then the shower is great! 😄 would definitely come back! The owner is also very sweet and helpful, and made good recommendations even to other great destinations in Italy. You will not be disappointed. It’s great value for money and the best place we stayed in on our whole trip 🫶
Everything about Palazzo Pio was fantastic. What a beautiful place, a step back in time, in a perfect location! Palazzo Pio is another world - the antiques, the family history, the mosaic floors, the light, everything! And Tommaso Pio is the most gracious and kind host there ever was. Staying here made our stay in Lecce just perfect, and it is so close to the old town where winding streets hold all sorts of delights. I am excited to one day return to Palazzo Pio for a longer stay!
One of the best places we stayed in traveling in southern Italy. The appartment was super clean, modern and well designed, well equipped. Air conditioner in the room. The accommodation was located in a great residential spot-near the super market and laundry service, 3min walk to the Old Town and 5min walk to the train station. We felt like locals living in Lecce. We met the staff in person-lovely girls and very welcoming. I would recommend the place in Lecce.
The location, staff, facilities, service. Francesco, our host, went so far out of his way to accommodate us and to ensure that our stay was pleasurable. I have syed in many of the world’s best hotels that boast 5 stars and above during a 30 year career that required me to travel globally over 250 days per year and can honestly say that I had never experienced such genuine hospitality and professionalism until my stay at this humble B&B in the heart of Lecce.
We really enjoyed our stay. Check in was easy and the room was spacious and airy. The design of the hotel is a really good mix between the old exterior and the modern interior. The breakfast was buffet-style and plentiful with super friendly staff on hand to help. A very short walk from the old town, there is plenty of free street parking around, making it an ideal base to explore not only Lecce but the rest of the peninsula as well.
This is a quality, luxurious, boutique hotel of just 9 rooms. The rooms are large, ours had a wonderful outdoor patio. Giuseppe and Raphaela were staffing the front desk and they were helpful, knowledgeable about Lecce , courteous and friendly. Our personal favorite was our breakfast chef Piera who is a cake, pie and tort master baker. Just a great experience at a wonderful hotel.
This property has it all!! Comfort, decor, service, wonderful breakfast and most of all location! Lecce is an amazing town. Exploring the old town we were always short walk for our room if needed to take a break or leave some staff in it. The terrace is beautiful, even though it got cold when we arrived so we were not able to use it in the full potential. Highly recommend!!
The location is great given the overlook of the amphitheater and location in old town Lecce. I would definitely come again and it seems like it would be a great place for a family vacation as well. The host is amazing and helpful in providing recommendations in areas around the area (even helped us find a parking spot when we first arrived). I would definitely come again!
Francesco was wonderful. So was his staff. Please note we did not have the amazing spa experience and knew that going in. Our apartment was wonderful in its own right still, and so many amenities were accommodated for. We especially liked the several waters provided for free. Most Italy hotels/b&b’s will give one or two. Francesco and his staff go above and beyond.
The location is perfect! We loved walking into the old town. Parking on the street was very easy. The Palazzo is beautifully decorated and very clean. Wonderful breakfast offerings that were delicious. Beatrice was extremely helpful. She is a lovely host who made suggestions and reservations to make our stay in Lecce perfect. We will be back!
The apartment is big , clean, and comfortable.
Lecce old town is just 12 minutes walking 🚶♀️ .
Street parking in Lecce is difficult. It's great that this property has a garage , make sure to arrive after the 2pm to park your car 🚗 and then go walking to the Duomo.
Simone will always keep in contact for all your needs.
A stunning appartment with beautiful mosaic floors and gourgeous high ceilings. Very easy to walk into the old town. Just the place where you can easily spend relaxed days in the south of Italy, while having easy access to the stunning historic center of Lecce. The hosts are very helpful and friendly. We will try to come back.
It was very well located to the old town of Lecce… the host could not be better… The room was beautiful with a balcony, and a very comfortable bed and bathroom… Elegant… Amazing delicious breakfast with local selections… Overall an absolutely wonderful place to stay… Convenient to everything you need to see
Very modern, ultra clean facility, all built within a building of excellent architecture and great history. Extremely close to the entry to the old town.
Amazing attention to detail throughout the complex. Towels were soft , shower pressure was excellent. A very special boutique hotel.
Fantastic location in the Old City, close to all the attractions which was great for us as we only stayed for two nights, on a continuing journey. Nice room with coffee making facilities which was very hand - a big advantage b&b’s have over hotels in Italy.
Everything! The hotel is wonderful, located right in the center of Lecce. You walk everywhere in max 10 minutes. The staff is very knowledgeable and have truly helped organizing our days (including one at the beach).
Lovely hotel in the heart of the old town. A perfect location for wandering around Lecce. Staff were all so friendly and helpful, hotel was spotless. Great views over the city from the roof. Recommend.
Great location, at the heart of Lecce old town. Beautiful surroundings and cute apartment. Very kind host, who explained us all regarding what to see and what to do. He also helped us with parking
This is a 5 star hotel with all the amenities that rents out apartments. Pure luxury, great staff, wonderful hotel and restaurant. Location is ideal. Outside terrace for dining is just fantastic.
Breakfast was very good, personal helpful. Room is a bit tired but spacious and well decorated. We did like it. Nice place to stay in Lecce, close to old town.
