Our booking was not made correctly(instead of one person per room, it was booked two people per room), the hotel owner took time and changed the booking at the time of check-in, so that we don't need to pay too much, which we found very honest and very kind of the owner.
The room was quiet and nice, the breakfast was also very good.

The location was very good, front desk was nice but couldn’t tell me if there were tv stations in English. They offered no explanation on how to work tv. Nice it had an elevator.

History and historic wines combine in Montepulciano.
History and historic wines combine in Montepulciano. My husband and I are sommeliers, art and history lovers. This town delivers on all scores and the locals are incredibly inviting and friendly - even more than the typical Italian standard. This town constantly has cultural and musical events, some serious and others simply fun in nature. Wineries close by, and the wine bars, closer.

Montepulciano is beautiful and old and hilly and kind of mysterious. It's fun to walk around – although your legs get sore! All the old buildings and streets and alleys were super cool. It was also great being in the heart of wine country. We'd heard a lot about Italian hospitality but didn't get a whole lot of that – it was still fun to explore ourselves, thpough.

The setting was breathtaking.
The setting was breathtaking. The accommodation was picture book perfect and included free parking! The views from the bell tower, directly across the piazza, made the climb worth every step! Highly recommended but allow yourself a minimum of a two night stay!

We had the great fortune of stumbling into the start of their week-long Bravio delle Botti festivities in which the neighborhoods compete against one another to roll wine barrels up the steep streets of the historical center. We got to see fantastic performances by the drum and flagwaving groups, have fantastic dinners put on by each of the 8 neighborhoods (contrade), and enjoy some shows put on in the Piazza Grande. The town itself is steep and filled with cantinas. Gorgeous historical hill town surrounded by gorgeous rolling hills, vineyards, and olive groves. It's Tuscany at its finest. Fairly well touristed, so be cognizant of prices and a few tourist traps, but otherwise very pleasant.

Montepulciano is a small town and everything is within walking distance, but it's very hilly (up and down). There are several good dining/drinking options (Trattoria di Cagnano on via Dell'Opio Nel Corsa was great for a late dinner!) and good for shops (tourist and retail/clothing/leather). Wine tasting is a must too (great wine options by the glass at the Montepulciano fortress and Enoliteca on via Di Gracciano Nel Corso)

This is a very nice city, however not for the faint of heart. You have to be in good shape as you are walking steep up hill to get to the top of the city. The main street is downhill, so if you happen to stay in a hotel at the top of the hill, you are constantly walking up and down to get anywhere. There is some paid parking at the top, the rest of the parking is down the hill. It is a nice city to visit for the day, not worth staying overnight. There are some wine stores, I recommend Talosa,(off a side street near Piazza grande) they have a wine cellar worth looking at as it is an old tunnel built during WWII. Sales girl was very friendly and helpful
I recently had a delightful stay at this hotel close to Montepulciano. The staff exuded genuine warmth, always ready to assist and make our stay comfortable. Our room was spacious, immaculately clean, and designed to enhance relaxation. But what truly took our breath away was the astonishing view of the Tuscan landscape that greeted us every day. Nestled perfectly to offer a panorama of Tuscany's beauty, this hotel is a gem for those wanting to immerse themselves in the region's splendor. Highly recommended for a memorable getaway.
This was one of the best accommodations I have ever stayed at! Clean and extremely comfortable room, fragrant bed and bath linen, the staff are extremely attentive, the breakfast is DIVINE (cold meats and freshly cut fruits, delicious cornetto, quality coffee, everything wonderful). The hotel is outside the no-parking zone, but very close to the entrance, which makes it easier for those with a car! I just have to thank you for your attention and incredible stay!
I highly recommend this accommodation in Montepulciano!
Central location in stunning Montepulciano. Host very quick to reply via WhatsApp with recommendations, tips for parking, etc.
We loved staying in this historic building. Felt like staying at a relatives apartment- the rooms and furniture appear to be original with their own character (but very well maintained and clean). The rooftop has gorgeous views with an area to sit and enjoy this stunning area.
The host recommended Cafe Poliziano- this is the epitome of my Italian cafe dreams- highly recommend.
Wow! What a beautiful property. This was our favourite place to stay in the whole of Italy. The room was spacious and clean and the outside area was beautiful. The pool was amazing. We bought some cheese and meats from the local supermarket and had dinner sat in the garden which was so peaceful and lovely. Staff were incredible and very accomodating. Would absolutely recommend to anyone staying in the area.
You will need a car to access and it’s about a 5-10 minute drive to Montepulciano.
We loved our visit. We will be in Italy from the US for 3 weeks. This by far is the best place we have stayed. Everything was to perfection and was exactly as described in Booking.com. Spacious, gated and very safe which includes underground parking. I loved the jacuzzi tub which is almost obsolete. There is nothing like a hot bath after touring or hiking all day. A shower to rinse off is also part of the jacuzzi or soaking tub. Also a second bathroom w/ shower is a plus.
What an amazing stay.
This is a truly family run hotel with so much happiness and enthusiasm, they are so happy to have you there and happy to engage in conversation.
Everything was done well, Nicolo (I hope this is right) makes breakfast very interesting in such a good way, Mataeo cooking is suburb.
If going to Montepulciano, please do yourself a favour, travel a few minutes more and stay at this place, you will not regret it.
Clean, comfortable, charming, fully equipped
apartment ideally located atop Montepulciano, very reasonably priced in off season.. Great bed, good water temperature and pressure in shower.
Excellent communication with host, who picked me up at the bus stop to save me a walk up the hill. Great recommendations for things to see and do both in Montepulciano and in neighboring towns.
Absolutely stunning villa and apartments in the heart of Tuscany. A stones throw from Montepulciano and many other cute hill-top towns. The place was superb, super nice and modern with a fantastic swimming pool and wonderful views over the gorgeous Tuscan landscape. Mario and the team were very welcoming and helpful. Couldn't have asked for better and I will definitely be back.
This was perhaps our fourth stay here in the last 15 years. If there was a medal for consistency, Ivana and Gio would win it every time. Meuble is a gem in the heart of Tuscany, and when ever we are in Italy, we make sure to go out of our way to stay there at least two nights. We love Montepulciano, and Meuble il Riccio is a large part of that!
Thank You Ivana and Gio!
Cugusi was our favourite stay during our trip in Italy. Amazing views. A lot of breakfast options and the staff was great. Cugusi is conveniently located on a hill with an amazing view of Montepulicano. It is roughly a 5 minute drive into the city making it a great location. If we are lucky enough to come back to Tuscany, I would stay here again.
This is a one of a kind stay that I hope to return to often. I highly recommend you include this spot on your trip to Italy. The hosts were lovely and accommodating and the house sits in a beautiful field of olives, grapes, lemons, artichokes, and countless herbs. At night we saw deer and rabbits and beautiful sunsets. Best part of our trip.
Property was very clean and good location if you want to visit Montepulciano and Pienza(the room and other places in hotel). Also, parking is good.
And the hostess is very very nice and welcoming. Also, we got a bottle of wine as a gift which is very nice.
Easy to find. Fast check in. Free Parking at the hotel. Good clean room and short lovely drive to Montepulciano. The hotel is totally managed by a lovely welcoming family. Mateo, the son, is the chef. The food is so good we had all our meals at the hotel.
Everything! Our favourite place to stay during our trip to Italy. Amazing view, the bed was so comfortable, good water pressure in the shower. It had everything we needed and the host was so kind. We also loved the little dog who lived on the property :)
The location was really cool – at the top of a long hill right at the gates of Montepulciano. The house was roomy and homey and felt authentic. Check-in and check-out were very easy. Laundry on-site was nice.
Our best stay of our whole trip to Italy. Such a beautiful location and beautiful home. The rooms were clean, modern, and luxurious. Breakfast was delicious. I wish we would have had more days here.
A lovely glimpse of old Italy within the walls of Montepulciano, parking on site and a lovely room with a small balcony with a view out over the city wall.
