Hotel information

Ideal for both the businessman and the tourist, it has 102 rooms of which 2 are Junior Suites, furnished in elegant and subdued colours. All the bedrooms have balconies from to admire the view over the sea or inland and all have air conditioning and soundproofing. To the high standard of comfort, the rooms add modern technology with outgoing fax capability, automatic alarms and wireless system. Enclosed between the wings of the hotel is a covered garden and an American bar to enliven guests' evenings.

Food & beverage

Two restaurants observe the cycle of the seasons with dishes that are always fresh and tasty. Typical Sicilian, Italian and international cousine.

Area information

Agrigento is one of Sicily's provincial capitals, located on the southern coast of the island,facing towards Africa.It keeps unspoilt the grace and fascination of a Mediterranean resort, a crossroads of different cultures:local,mainland Italian, Greek and North African. Founded in 581 BC by colonists from neighboring Gela who named it Akragas,it rapidly grew in economic,civil and military importance, so much so that in league with Syracuse it vanquished the Carthaginian army at Imera in 480 Bc and scaled down its expansionistic ambitions. From this era date the most imposing and important architectural remains, which put the city on the same artistic level as the most important Greek cities. The city is divided into two areas: the modern urban center and the "Valley of the Temples", the ancient sacred territory which today has become a focus of Historical and architectural interest.Of course the most spectacular surviving trace of ancient Akragas is the temple of Concordia which stands out imposingly in an amazing state of preservation; " In comparison with the temples of Paetum, it stands like the figure of a God before that of a giant", noted Goethe during his journey of 1787. The temple of Juno, Hercules and Dioscuri date from the same period. The modern part of Agrigento too preserves glories and remains of the past in a curious mixture of Arabic, Roman and Baroque architecture:St.Calogero's church; the Cathedral; the Abbey of the Holy Spirits and so on.

nice enough at sea's edge and away from Agrigento's congestion.

small rooms; staff speaks poor english; internet not available unless you carry your own PC.

All the facilities were not available until 1 6 08 - this maent for 2 of our 4 days we could not access the pool and the other outside facilities were non existant

la posizione sul mare

senza indicazioni preventive abbiamo trovato la piscina chiusa e sporca ( guasta?) e questa carenza non ci è stata ricompensata; lo stesso per il trasporto alla spiaggia

Große komfortable Zimmer und ein großer Balkon machen den Aufenthalt sehr angenehm. Die Lage des Pools mit Blick auf die Bucht ist sehr schön. Gute Lärmisolierung der Zimmer.

Das Personal ist leider nicht wirklich hilfsbereit. Informationen über Angebote und spezielle Wünsche werden im Grunde nicht ernst genommen und auch nicht bearbeitet. Es scheint, als ob man nicht wirklich Interesse daran hat, dass der Gast wieder kommen soll. Eine Scootermiete wurde als unmöglich beschrieben. Ich benötigte gerade mal 5 Minuten in der Stadt und hatte das Krad.

El desayuno!!!!es un desayuno correcto por la categoria del hotel, y da la garantia que esperas de un NH.La piscina es tambien espectacular y muy relajante!La ubicacion es perfecta para visitar el valles de los templos.
