Score from 1081 reviews Very good
The confort of the facilities was really good. Design and modern hotel
The wifi connection was really bad in the rooms. The A/C didn´t work, it was constantly on even if I tried several times to swtich off. It was really cold
Comfortable and large room even though we were in a small double. Luxurious and quite. Good value for money at lady minute rates. Great breakfast
a bit pricy
Asked to change rooms due to terrible smell in bathroom and was shown a new room without any fuss. Location was good as we came by train and left by bus. Train station is right in front of hotel and bus station for airport behind hotel - neither caused any disturbing noises. Walk was short to the attractions
bathroom smelled of drains and was very unpleasant Room for 4 was a double bed and 2 small beds - would have been very uncomfortable for adults No wifi in rooms even though there was supposed to Breakfast room was hot and very cramped
Everything was perfect: location, staff and rooms were beyond our expectations, really good value for money!
Good Location. Good value for many by Florence's standards. Breakfast choices were abundant.
Terribly awful wi-fi. It only worked at the main lobby. Bathroom got soaked due to lack of shower basin. Breakfast lounge sometimes too crowded so it was necessary to wait for a while. Staff was not always friendly. They definetly don't go the extra mile. Some rooms are noisy (we stayed in two different rooms). Housekeeping staff rather noisy in the mornings. Rooms could have been more clean: dusty nighttables.
- excellent location - helpful and friendly staff - clean - good breakfast
wifi is poor
Near the train station. nice resturants near hotel friendly staff Good breakfast
Excellent location, very helpful and pleasant staff, spacious room with a very comfortable bed, good breakfast buffet.
The staff at the reception desk and in the breakfast room were pleasant. Breakfast selection was plentiful. The bathroom looked new and clean. Excellent location across from the train station.
We stayed two nights and the room was a bit dark and cramped leading me to bang my knees and shins on various pieces of furniture a few times each day. At one point, I ran into another guest in the hallway holding up her mobile/cell phone like an old-fashioned TV antenna; she was motioning around the corridor trying to get any bit of wi-fi signal since there was none in her room. We managed to get very unreliable and low signal in our room. One of the reception staff said they have not had reliable wi-fi throughout the hotel in a year. Booking.com should remove the wi-fi label from its amenities for this hotel.
perfect location, polite and professional staff, good breakfast
Beautiful, modern décor. The hotel has clearly been updated with expensive taste - great bedroom and bathroom and shower. Location immediately next to the train station was outstanding for us. It made transportation easy and we were able to walk everywhere in Central Florence. Helpful, friendly staff. Pretty view from our patio. Good happy hour.
WiFi was not good. Only worked in the common areas on the main floor.
I am satisfied and When I come back to florence I will choose it again ..thanks
Very comfortable and functional city hotel. Not the nicest part of Florence but hotel is within 10 minutes walk from the center. Proximity to the train station is a bonus in certain aspects, as it saves additional travel when using airport buses or catching trains. Staff were extremely helpful and breakfast as expected. We tried both the classic and the executive room. Both are very clean and comfortable. Would stay again
The wifi service is extremely bad .
Location, nice bedroom
Poor variety at breakfast.
I was celebrating my belated 35th birthday in Florence due to a broken leg back in July so the original hotel I had booked for my cousin and I was unavailable for the new dates and I came across the C-Hotel Diplomat on the website. First let me say that there are 4 C-Hotels in the same block and the Diplomat must be the WORST of the chain. The rooms are old, smelly, uncomfortable, terrible food, terrible service, and the internet did not work the entire week we where there. The pictures online must be that of the other C-Hotel Ambasciatori next door which looked totally different and nice when we walked into the lobby to check it out. The C-Hotel Diplomat is in total need of major rennovations. Did I mention that the elevators don't have sensors so the thing closed on us numerous times? The front desk staff definitely needs to practice customer service. After our terrible first night (very loud a/c unit and terrible smells coming from the bathroom), we asked if we could move to the C-Hotel Ambasciatori next door and we where even willing to pay more if required. We were told we would have to pay completely all over again and that they would not transfer any of the funds from our pre-payment on booking.com at the diplomat to the ambasciatori. After complaining we were giving a different room that didn't smell terrible, but the ac unit was still so loud that it was either get no sleep or be totally hot. I would NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone and I would definitely NEVER stay there again. The hotel totally almost ruined our trip. Thank goodness we spent so much time out and about in Florence and only went to the room to sleep and take a shower (the shower is the size for a small child and not an adult and I live in Europe currently so I am used to smaller European apartments and hotels but that shower was ridiculous).
Virtually over the road from Firenze SMN, walking distance to most sights, friendly staff, clean and tidy, comfortable.
Amazingly quiet considering the train station.
Shower was poor
the location was good and place comfortable
wi fi was poor
The staff, the breakfast, the location and the accommodation was comfortable.
The wifi was appalling, you could only access it from the lobby. My carpet by the door smelt of urine, I only know this as I sat there trying to get wifi. The rest of the carpet was very musty. Not worth £200 per night!
perfect location, clean and nice room. good value for money
Centrally located just few steps away from Domo and others attractions, staff is very helpful in any questions, room very nice and comfortable. Simply a great value for money!
Great location just steps from the train station, central location for all the sights and tourist buses so we didn't need any taxis all weekend. Very clean and large comfy spacious rooms, staff were very helpful
breakfast was ok but nothing to rave about
The breakfast was nice, the staff was kind and helpfull. Internet not so good in some rooms, they change my room because of the wifi.
