Good for traveling from porta Susa
the breakfast was quite bad
Good location near Porta Susa and within walking distance of Turin centre.
Contrary to my last visit I now got a very small room (307). But they promised a larger room during my next stay in march.
One good feature is the arrangement with the local restaurant at 31 Via Cernaia.
Wi-fi should be better .
-Sadem bus stop (airport transfer) just 100 meters away -Torino city center easily reachable by walk -Bus stop and metro just in front of hotel -Great value for money
Check-in quick and efficient. Room not over-large, but very clean and perfectly comfortable. Bathroom okay size and again, very clean. Slept well, bed comfy. WiFi included in room rate and good signal. Breakfast good and far better than I've experienced in similar priced Italian hotels before. Location just across from Porto Susa excellent if you have rail/coach connections and a 10(ish) minute walk down the main road takes you into the absolute centre of Turin. Spoke with four different members of staff on reception - all very helpful and friendly with good English (useful as I don't speak Italian!). Considering the room rate I'd say this is an excellent mid-range place ideal for a stopover.
Only possible negatives from our stay, some scuffs on bedroom wall (usual bags being bashed etc), slightly worn carpet in corridor, maybe room was a little over-warm for me, BUT this is being picky and none of this would take away from it being a great mid-range place with really good staff.
Everything was excellent. Well situated, 150m from train station, few steps from public transport. Excellent breakfast! Value for money.
Not free wifi in rooms
Excellent and really helpful service, great location.
Location, staff, service, everything was excellent.
Wi-Fi connections in our room wasn't good.
Top sheet as well as duvet, windows that open to allow fresh air. As close as possible to Porta Susa railway station and close to a number of good eating places. Price - excellent, staff helpful and friendly.
Very little foyer space and no bar.
In front of Porta Susa and subway. Simone in the front desk helped us a lot and answered all questions about the city. Didn't have time for a long breakfast but it did have variety. Room was clean.
Room furniture. Bathroom had that smell of "old", might need remodeling.
For train traveler, it is the best way to lodge in such a hotel so near to the Porta Susa station.
My room was at the 3rd floor, but I had to connect to the 2nd floor WI-FI--which was weaker for the signal- because I just couldn't connect to the 3rd floor WI-FI. That was a bit ridiculous.
the location, staff very obliging ,excellent breakfast, very comfortable room. we will definitely choose this hotel again.
Special thanks to Simone for sorting out our parking ticket which got swallowed up by the machine. The young gentleman who first checked us in was lovely, too. Brilliant breakfast!
Our room wasn't ready when we arrived at 4:00.... We were told it was being cleaned ...... When we got in the room it smelled like a mixture of urine, dirty water and smoke..... When we asked the manager on duty what options we had He replied he would have to clean it..... We offered to take some cleaning and do it ourselves, however he said that either he or the other manager would be doing it....we went back up to the room to wait and a half hour later he called and said it would not be able to be done until the next morning this was unacceptable! Luckily I had some Lysol wipes and was able to get some of the smell out....very disappointing!
It was very comfortable and the buffet breakfast was great with a lot of choices.
very big and clean room. close to the city center. we had every day clean towels. nice view from the room!
Nevertheless you should hang around Torino, not to lay in the room????
Smell in the room
very good location, no much noise from the street, excellent breakfast, good wi-fi in the rooms.
Most of the staff did not speak English (only one person out of 3 did), hard to use elevator.
Perfect location across the street from Porta Susa Train Station and the Metro Stop. Very close to the most excellent pizza place in all the world.. Gennaro Esposito on Via Giuseppe Luigi Passalacqua, 1/G Don't miss it!!! Also, with the double windows, it was nice and quiet. I would stay here again or at the Gran Mogol near the other train station, Porta Nuova.
The room was a little too warm. hair dryer was very slow. shower door was hard to close but the shower had great pressure and hot water.
Good location for train station. Friendly.
For a very low price, a decent room in an excellent location; it is only 15 minutes walking to the pedestrian area of the city center. And only 3 minutes walking to train station Porte Susa. Across from the station you can take the bus to airport Caselle every 15 minutes or so. Tip: you have to buy the tickets at the newsagent stand in the train station! The ticket to the airport costs €6,50 (dec 2014). It takes about 45 mins. If you are in a hurry: the pizzeria around the corner sells decent pizzas for normal prices. It is a take-away shop, but there are a few stools for eating on the spot. *Friendly and helpful staff. I really appreciated that i could leave my luggage during the day since i had a late flight back. *Rooms are ok, decent bed, decent shower and toilet, good heating. Nice balcony.
*The product that they use to clean the hotel (rooms, hallways, bathrooms) is very strong. I did not like the smell, but i liked it even less when it triggered my allergies and i was 'wheezing' halfway through the night. *When i made my booking, i asked for a quiet room at the back and on the top floor of the hotel. But we stayed on the 2nd floor (out of 6) and on the front of the hotel. But since it was just one night (and a last-minute booking), we left it at that. *Being in the heart of the city next to the train station, the area is not quiet. The rooms have double glazed windows, but if you need/want 'fresh' air at night, expect some noise...
...good position ...very nice staff...excellent breakfast
Location was excellent Breakfast was also very good Staff friendly and helpful
