Featuring a varied buffet breakfast and air-conditioned rooms, Hotel Urbani is next to Porta Nuova Train Station in the heart of Turin and is a 2-minute walk from the airport bus terminal.
Score from 1962 reviews Very good
Run by the same family since 1854, Hotel Roma e Rocca Cavour is one of the oldest hotels in Turin. Surrounded by lush gardens, it is across from to Porta Nuova Train Station.
Score from 1390 reviews Very good
Hotel Gran Mogol is just 215 yards from Torino Porta Nuova Train and Metro Station, and a 15-minute walk from a 15th-century Cathedral that is home to the famous Shroud of Turin.
Score from 1423 reviews Very good
very good location, no much noise from the street, excellent breakfast, good wi-fi in the rooms.
Most of the staff did not speak English (only one person out of 3 did), hard to use elevator.
Perfect location across the street from Porta Susa Train Station and the Metro Stop. Very close to the most excellent pizza place in all the world.. Gennaro Esposito on Via Giuseppe Luigi Passalacqua, 1/G Don't miss it!!! Also, with the double windows, it was nice and quiet. I would stay here again or at the Gran Mogol near the other train station, Porta Nuova.
The room was a little too warm. hair dryer was very slow. shower door was hard to close but the shower had great pressure and hot water.
Good location for train station. Friendly.
For a very low price, a decent room in an excellent location; it is only 15 minutes walking to the pedestrian area of the city center. And only 3 minutes walking to train station Porte Susa. Across from the station you can take the bus to airport Caselle every 15 minutes or so. Tip: you have to buy the tickets at the newsagent stand in the train station! The ticket to the airport costs €6,50 (dec 2014). It takes about 45 mins. If you are in a hurry: the pizzeria around the corner sells decent pizzas for normal prices. It is a take-away shop, but there are a few stools for eating on the spot. *Friendly and helpful staff. I really appreciated that i could leave my luggage during the day since i had a late flight back. *Rooms are ok, decent bed, decent shower and toilet, good heating. Nice balcony.
*The product that they use to clean the hotel (rooms, hallways, bathrooms) is very strong. I did not like the smell, but i liked it even less when it triggered my allergies and i was 'wheezing' halfway through the night. *When i made my booking, i asked for a quiet room at the back and on the top floor of the hotel. But we stayed on the 2nd floor (out of 6) and on the front of the hotel. But since it was just one night (and a last-minute booking), we left it at that. *Being in the heart of the city next to the train station, the area is not quiet. The rooms have double glazed windows, but if you need/want 'fresh' air at night, expect some noise...
...good position ...very nice staff...excellent breakfast
Location was excellent Breakfast was also very good Staff friendly and helpful
Beds were too small Wifi was not connecting in rooms
professional and kind assistance at the reception, Ideal location near shuttle stop from the airport. Cleanest room I have ever been in at a hotel. Good restaurant opposite where you get a 10 % discount being client of Dock Milano Hotel. Ask voucher at the desk.
This hotel is our regular stop when travelling by rail from Paris to Italy. The rooms are not large but have all necessary amenities. The staff are efficient and polite and the breakfast is good. It's a five minute walk from Porta Susa station and there is a good small restaurant close by.
Near the train station and the porter who looked after the left luggage was very helpful.
We stood at reception for about 10 mins even though there were two staff behind the desk and they ignored us and kept starring at their screens. When they did communicate with us there was no friendliness and they could hardly even look at us it was as though we were an inconvenience. When we went to bed at about 10pm (as we had an early start)you could here music from the local night club blaring until the early hours of the morning, so did not get much sleep.
Wifi was a disaster. In 3 days, I could connect only 10 mins
I think this is really great accommodation. Price was cheap enough as well. I was able to use WIFI even in my room and anywhere in this building. Cleanliness was the best among the accommodation I have ever stayed.
The location is great, easy to move through the city but also between cities nearby. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I would for sure suggest this hotel to others
It is a really nice hotel, good location especially if you are coming on Porta Suza train station, then you are only 3 min away on foot. Good breakfast, friendly staff, perfect shower! I would come back if they fix wifi.
thin walls, I really don't want to hear a vibrating cellphone from room next door (so as an entire conversation) at 7am. Second, wi-fi was not working on second floor which is unacceptable nowadays. Funny thing - you can connect to hotel's wifi in an restaurant nearby (and it works perfectly), but not upstairs.
Proximity to transport and value for money.
Everything was o.k.
Ideal location 1 min from Porta Susa train station, staff very friendly and helpful, excellent value, beautiful building, ideal for business trip, beautiful balcony, high ceilings
not a strong wifi signal. for family trip, may be a little far from center (20 min walk), although the walk is under beautiful building arches.
The personal was really kind and polite. The location could't be more in the center.
The noise due to the center location and my neighbours (maybe bad luck).
A stone throw's away from Porta Susa TGV station, good parking (but expensive) helpful staff
Shabby building, tiny rooms, the only hotel I know in Italy with automatic machine cappuccino for breakfast.
The hotel was elegant and well located, a five minute walk to Porta Susa station, so good if you're catching the Turin to Paris TGV train. The room and bathroom was spacious, even with four people. The staff were helpful and pleasant to deal with. Turin is a beautiful city at the foot of the Italian Alps, highly recommended.
Nothing to dislike.
Close to the train station. Close to restaurants. Friendly staff. clean and good sized room.
Almost everything. You can compare it with a 4 star hotel.
Only the fact that didn't have free wi-fi.
The Hotel Dock Milano is in an excellent location on the edge of the city centre. It provides spotlessly clean and comfortable facilities with great hospitality. The staff are courteous, most helpful and welcoming. I would use the hotel again.
Pleasant front desk staff, very friendly And helpful. Room had tea making facilities. Situated across road from rail station. Just great
