Small room, no english news on tv, wireless was poor.

Basic (very BASIC) breakfast Pricy for its category (as all hotels in Rome)
Location (walking distance to almost all main attractions in Rome) - Very kind personnel (polite, helpful) - Very spacious, quiet and very clean room - Good wifi

Small room, small water debit

The hotel itself is very simple. The rooms and bathroom are very small. Also the breakfast is very simple, but nearby are lots of small bakeries.
The location of Hotel Doge is excellent. It's very central and next to the Spanish stairs. From the train station to the hotel is only a 15 minute walk.

1. We have been accommodated in a hotel named hotel "Firenze" located in the same building with hotel "Doge" . The receptionist advised that the two hotels were practcally the same & that there were no vacancies in hotel Doge. However our reservation was for hotel Doge. 2. The room we were allocated was in poorer general condition compared to the room our friendly co-travelling couple was allocated in hotel "Doge". 3. Off course they disregarded our request via your site to have adjacent rooms with our do travelling couple. 3. The hygienic condition of the room was dubious. The cover of the Sofa and the chair was heavily stained, the blanket smelled as if it was dirty & there were mold stains in the bathroom. 4. Televison not working properly, no internal tellephone, very poor Wi-Fi signal, 5. The receptionist was completely aloof & indifferent to our complaints, she only advised that thre were no vacanciers at hotel Doge.

Old building, old furnishing, wifi had probs, phone system also down, stairs and small elevator (not appropriate for physically impaired people). you have to pay coty tax in cash only! Hotel Private taxi costs for 4 ppl 65 Euro!
Its close to bus and metro, food etc. Stuff is friendly to assist. Next to taxi stop at Piazza di Spagna (only 48E flat to and from airport)

The breakfast should be enriched!

The receptionist has asking me a booking.com voucher or print and she was unwilling to search my booking with my full name from my passport.
Wifi, location, cleanliness, price, breakfast was moderate. Daily new towels.

Breakfast can be improved. Just by adding milk or yogurt, cereals, and fresh fruits it will change completely the perceived quality.
VERY central position Helpful staff

Breakfast uninteresting and insufficient for the busy tourist. The lift did not always appear to be working when required for suitcases. Stairways were scruffy and did not make an appealing entrnce to the hotel. Power failure in some bedrooms late at night caused some members of our party to be less than happy with their stay, especially as no torches were available.
Very convenient location. Recception staff were very patient. Appeared under-staffed at potentially busy times.

Great location, good staff, clean rooms.

They slapped me with an extra charge when I paid and gave a nonsensical explanation for it. It wasn't a very cheap charge either, an extra $60 euros because my husband met me and stayed in the room from 3 am until check out at 11. I had been there for two nights alone. The receptionist was rude. She handed me a tourist map and stated "here, take this so that you don't have to ask me later."
The location was great, very central. The room was decent. A good shower and old but fairly comfortable bed.
March 29, 2014
Poor breakfast, very dated bathrooms in need of refurbishment.
Location is great, for a hotel in centre of Rome for price what you get is what you pay for. If you're just looking for somewhere to sleep then this is ok for you.
March 5, 2014
Accommodation very basic, shower needed upgrading and no tea/coffee facility in room
Location was very central, easy access for sight seeing and cafés and bars
