Palace Hotel  

The hotel was very central. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent!

We stayed here in may and already the room was quite warm and had no air conditioner.

Breakfast included with room is very good. Very clean hotel. Everything works.

No internet on 2nd floor and above. Internet signal from lobby reaches some of the 1st floor but nothing above that. Very frustrating if on business.

I reserved a superior room, which did not look like the superior room on the picture of the booking.com website at all. It was very old and small. The staff was not helpful at all. I asked to change the room to the executive, which was supposed to be renovated, but I was told that all executive rooms are occupied, even though on the booking.com site at least one executive room was available. The receptionists were not helpful at all and did not seem to care about the comfort of the customers. The room had no balcony, no view as described on the booking.com for that type of room and the furniture was by no means elegant. The furniture, carpet and bathroom devices were extremely old. The staff at the restaurant was not helpful. Waiters did not come towards us to ask whether we needed something, and it was hard to call them. The breakfast was rather poor with fruits from cans, three types of mozzarella cheese and not very tasty bread. The water to make tea was around 30°C. There was no room service except probably during breakfast and restaurant opening hours. Also, the bar was closed on Sunday midnight. All in all, I would not recommend this hotel as it can hardly be 3* and it is not worth to pay so much money. Even though I put "do not disturb sign" on the door, the cleaning lady entered to make the room. No respect for privacy. Team from the booking.com must revise and update the pictures gallery so that pictures correspond to the reality. The same for the description of the rooms. My superior room looked exactly like the classic room on the pictures on the booking.com.

Excellent service from reception and breakfast staff in particular. Great breakfasts and a very comfortable room. Excellent dinners with some great local dishes.

We has arrived my birthday at the Hotel and the management sent us a bottle of champagne into our room. It was real a perfect thing. Thanks again.

The staff were very helpful and extremely friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable with an outside balcony. We had dinner in the al la carte restaurant which was both delicious and not expensive for the level of silver service.

Classic Italian city centre hotel. Efficient service, central location. Nice room with high quality bed linen, good bed etc Good breakfast included.

Rooftop restaurant is good but expensive.There are better and cheaper options in town.

Hotel was very luxurious with old world charm at a very reasonable cost. It was within walking distance of the old town and seaside. The breakfast was included and was outstanding. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly.

Much advertised rooftop was closed, despite the fact that it was a Saturday night in July! Room was decent but nothing special.

Staff at front desk were efficient but unfriendly. Rest of the staff were very polite and nice.

We spent one night there as we arrived on the ferry from Croatia and then caught the train to Rome the next day. The location was excellent as we could walk from the ferry to the Hotel and then were close enough to the train station to walk there the next morning. The room was very comfortable. Staff were very professional and friendly. Had a beautiful meal in the restaurant which overlooks the Old town.

Great breakfast. Room was spacious. Great location in the heart of Bari yet quiet. Friendly staff.

Room was a little dusty, perhaps too many curtains or trapped under the glass on the tables. Wi FI internet did not work in the room, had to go downstairs to use it which was disappointing. The hotel is lovely but is in need of a little updating. Furnishings looked a little tired.

The Palace Hotel was perfectly located in Bari. We enjoyed being near good restaurants and within walking distance of the sites of the city. The staff was very polite and responsive to our needs.

Needs more electrical outlets and computer wi/fi in the rooms rather than just a short cable connection.

All the staff are incredible, I have visited the hotel over 20 years and I have never ever experienced such a staff as in this great hotel, and many of them are there, in the reception in the breakfast restaurant, they all remember and they are all lovely and fantastic people. No hotel in the world can match the staff at Palace. No one hotel in the world!

Very nice

Some staff was courteous and eager to help point out the sights in Bari. Room was nice. Late (12pm) checkout was nice.

We were overcharged and asked to speak to a manager several times,but the man insisted no. We were forced to bring our bikes to the garage, but never explained that we would be charged. We had to figure out this by ourselves, when we inquired at checkout. I may not recommend this hotel to anyone, given out checkout experience. Additionally: - very expensive - No wifi in-room is very disappointing for an expensive hotel.

We loved our stay at the Palace Hotel such luxury at a low price. We recieved a welcome drink in our room. The room was huge and comfortable.Breakfast in the luxurious dining room with full silver service was beautiful. I highly recommend this hotel, which exceeds many 5 star hotels.
