It's an excellent hotel. In particular staffs were very helpful. They spent more than an hour with us to explain the attractions, book the restaurants & everything for us. It's a perfect place to stay in a such wonderful town.

Location is very good and staff (except one person who is bold and waters the plants on the balcony every day). carpet in the room (your feet becomes black) after walking on it for 1 min! One of the staff memebers (donno his name but he is bold and he waters the plants every day on the balconies) One night he was putting some glass boxes in the room next to ours and he was making so much noise and our son was sleeping...when our husband opened the door to ask him to do it with less noise he got upset and from that day onwards he stopped talking to my husband or even returning a good morning greeting!

Marchello the manager has been there 13 years and was exceptionally helpful and gracious. Location and views incredible. Very modern interior which allowed sound to travel so it wasnt "quiet" by any means, but, beautiful nonetheless.

This is a beautifully designed hotel. Very modern inside - with some extremely cool ideas and decor. Great location a few minutes walk from Portofino. Helpful staff. It lacks a good restaurant and certainly a bar - a decent cocktail bar would have made it so much better.

This hotel was perfect for us. Clean, comfortable, wonderful staff, great views, and quiet. The hotel is a bit out of town, five minutes walk from the harbor area, but we liked it. We got great value for our dollars, but we did go after the high season. I suspect it is more than double in the summer, but it is Portofino. I like a softer bed, but the next person may love a firm bed.

Location to Portofino, private beach, walking path was excellent. Rooms were very modern and well maintained. Ferries and buses were very accessible from Portofino. Breakfast was good and interesting. Dinner was very good. There is no public meeting place to gather with friends and relax (lounge) other then the main lobby which is busy, noisy and uncomfortable in general.

The hotel is right on the ocean, you can open your windows to hear the waves. It is a five minute walk on a path to the beautiful town of Portofino. It is a very romantic, perfect place to stay in Portofino. The staff works very hard at pleasing their guests. I will stay there on my next visit.

Room very nicely decorated. Amazing views. Nice seaside terrace for swimming (beach towels provided). Good parking service (not for free though). Expensive. The hotel is right at the road, but luckily there are not that many cars at night.

The location of the hotel was great, away from the very touristy harbor area. A conventent path was available for walking to the harbor area, if desired.

The pictures on booking.com don't do this place justice. I was pleasantly surprised when we were shown to our room which sits high above the road (so nice and quiet) with a beautiful view across the portofino bay with a big balcony terrace. The hotel is just a 3 min stroll from the main hub of portofino, so was nice and quiet and the walk into the hub was picturesque. It's also a very beautiful and scenic 45 min walk to Santa Margherita which is also very lovely. Staff was friendly, breakfast was wonderful, rooms very clean, modern and spacious. I wouldn't stay anywhere else along the liguerian coast ! Absolutely loved it and would love to return (sooner rather than later).

Staff very helpful. Fabulous location for sea views and walking distance to portofino. Sea views from room excellent. Sun terrace available for all residents in front of hotel which is a huge advantage in this area of the Ligurian coast where beach is scarce. Car parking off site at 15 euro a day but staff provide excellent service of taking and returning car from hotel as required. Dinner and evening bar limited but Portofino very close.

Our room which costs in average 300 euro per night has got small window to the wall. So it was room without daily light. Quality and price are not in balance.

The beach side views from lounge chairs. Breakfast was very good. The staff was pretentious, our room window was level with the side of the street. Stay in Santa Margarita and travel in by local bus would be my recommendation.

1. Having a view of Med - fantastic, and the ability to walk across to beach was very convenient. Location - a short walk into Portofino. Staff were fantastic, and appreciated the services offered - eg - parking you car for you. Breakfast was delicious. Definitely on of the highlights in my month tour of Italy/France. Will definitely book again on next visit for longer. Thank you for a memorable visit to Portofino.

Very clean, new style decoration in white very relaxing and modern, perfet location - may be one of the best in portofino, the rooms with sea view are wonderful, very convenient the small private beach of the hotel though in levels due to the rocky character of the coast. In general our impression from this hotel is excellent.

“This is simply one of the best hotels anywhere. The accomodations are luxurious; the staff is outstanding; the experience is memorable. From the spacious, comfortable room to the balcony overlooking the Mediteranian to the pool and grounds to the fabulous restaurant, you are in for an unforgettable treat. In addition to the hotel, walk down to the town and enjoy a beautiful seaside resort. Take a ferry to Portofino and other nearby resort towns. Use this as a jumping off place for day trips to Cinqa Terra and other coastal destinations using the train. Magnifico! ” Michael, Fair Oaks Ranch |
