We loved the warm, welcoming atmosphere, in an elegant house in the heart of town. Easy access to everything. All this with a private, secure car parking space. Lovely breakfast. Can thoroughly recommend staying here.

Domus Aurea – located in the historical centre of the city - is a great place to stay for visiting the beautiful city of Saluzzo and to make trips to the mountains nearby (e.g. Vale Varaita). In the B&B itself you can feel everywhere the personal touch given by the owning family. Patrizia, the owner of the B&B, helped wherever she could from the beginning of our stay. We will for sure return to this wonderful place, once we are visiting again this part of Piedmont.

Breakfast was outstanding. The room was clean and neat and the common area had local information.

After writing to the Ba and b and asking for specific directions, the reply came that I was to call. I do not have a cell phone for Europe, so tht option was out. After driving around aimlessly trying to follow the map, I finally found a freindly poliiceman who used his cell to call the b and B. Luckily I speak a little Italian and was able to get the idea across. About a half hour later a young woman showed up and directed us to the b and B. The facility was apparently being run by two sisters, I don't know if the family was on vacation as it was never explained to us. They were couteous but distant. The parking arrangement was behind a gate, the mystery of the opening known to the proprietors but not to us. It cost 5 Euros a day, but parking on the street was certainly not possible as the b and b is located in a maze of narrow alley ways. It developed we were very close to the main square and Saluzzo is a very attractive town. I would not recommend staying here on the basis of it is impossible to find without help from the proprietors and with the difficulty in parking we left the car for a day as we didn't think we could find the location again. The service was adequate but impersonal, the breakfast lovely.
