This is the only hotel I will give the full mark in our journey. The boss is very kind, his English is very well and give us many good advises, the hotel is very very beautiful. I think the boss has put a lot of thought in it and you can feel it by your heart. We are so sorry I didn't give tips to Dori as we were stolen in Spanish and didn't have any changes with us. But I think her service is perfect! Domus is our first stop in Italy, and give a lot of good memories in Rome. Thank you!!!
The location is next to spinal steps, in the historical Rome. Cleaning was fine. breakfast was enough for us, but for some people will see it as poor one. Good polite staff and helpful ..
The air conditioner didn't work well at our room, though it's work well in the second room, bathroom was very small ,hard to move while showering
Very quiet and private.
Minimal breakfast choices, served in our room, which was not big enough to eat in. Not all the lighting worked, and the shower was very small. It was also a little difficult to find.
The room was comfortable, really clean and had everything we needed.
Although we only had a short time in Rome it was amazing and the people were wonderful. We were made so welcome everywhere and the location of Domus Borgognona was brilliant.
Location is great!
It is NOT a Hotel. It is a group of 3-4 rooms, on the 4th floor of a building with a tiny lift. There is no reception, no facilities, guests can eat breakfast only in the rooms where there is no table and very little space. Bearable for one night only and only if one wants to stay in the particular location.
The location is perfect, a quiet street at Piazza di Spagna, very close to the metro and within easy distance to all important sights of the historical center. The place is beautifully decorated and has a very elegant atmosphere. The staff is very helpful.
The shower is rather small, the wi-fi sometimes weak and smoking is not allowed, but these are minor problems compared to the overall imression. There are no facilities of a normal hotel, but nobody cares about that, on the contrary you have a feeling of having rent an elegant appartment for some days.
The staff were incredibly helpful and responsive. They arranged ground transportation for our arrival and departure, provided detailed recommendations and a map for seeing Rome, tailored breakfast to suit our dietary preferences, and did everything possible to make us feel comfortable.
Bruno gave an excellent overview of what to do and how to do it in Rome. A very quiet location and yet close to everything. Would stay again.
The location, near Piazza de Spagna, the very good staff. It was the fourth time I stay there.
I would highly recommend this place. Located 1/2 block from the Spanish steps, close to the metro, excellent experience. Bruno, the owner, was amazing!!! I am in my 40's travelling with my Mother in her 60's and everything was perfect!!!!
The room was very clean and very comfortable, and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
Not very easy to find the hotel but it was on the 3rd floor of a building and I found it very safe.
Staff were fantastic. Loved the stay.
Good basic accommodation, in a central position...the staff were very welcoming. We had received an email from the owner in advance, offering us a transfer from the airport and to give detailed directions to the hotel...a nice touch
The people! They were looking out for me 100% of the time and at one point went out of there way to help when needed.
owner is a nice guy, very helpful, although no insider tips, also very helpful about depositing our luggage before flying out
breakfast was mediocre, no salami or ham, we also stayed 3 nights and they never changed the towels in the bathroom
Everything ! It was fabulous
Electricity is out of order , we have to change the place, fortunately, the new place was better
The location is very good close to the Spanish Steps.
We checked in on Dec. 24 at 14:00. After settling in our 4th floor room, we didn't see or interact with a staff member until Dec. 26 at 7:50. When booking the Domus Borgognona online, we were never told that there would be no staff present for 42 hrs. In the mean time, the seat broke off the toilet, there was no breakfast as advertised, no one to ask how the use the satellite tv, no internet as advertised, and the elevator didn't work for a day which was a major inconvenience due to my wife's recent knee surgery! Overall, we were very disappointed with the Domus Borgognona. The owner was on vacation in southern Italy for 2 weeks and was of no help or assistance. Other guests were also upset with the lack of services and staff. There are other nice hotels nearby. Do not stay at the domus borgognona.
The staff at the reception were great. They really helped us to get around rome and gave us some hints where to visit. They were just great. Breakfast is served any time you decide from 07am until around 0900. It is just great and only 1 min away from via del corso - a street full of shops and 1min away from the metro.
Staff friendly and helpful, beds very comfortable, good location
just suggestion-need alarm clock in room for foreign travelers that cannot use the cell phone in Europe- also please furnish tissues
Croissant for breakfast are really delicious, best i have ever had so far. Much better than expectation, staff are super friendly. Room is clean but a little small. Location is just a few step from spanish step. excellent
